Why Should You Tell Your Students About This?

This is not just an activity. It is a real, structured program that teaches your students skills they cannot learn from textbooks — and gives them proof of that learning. And it costs absolutely nothing.

Students Learn Real Skills

AI tools, field research, report writing, talking to people professionally — these are things colleges don't teach, but employers always ask for.

Certificate + Letter of Recommendation

Every student who completes the program gets an official certificate. Top students also get a Letter of Recommendation signed by Trupti Gavit, Founder and Director of KaryoSetu Technologies pvt. ltd. (IIT Bombay Graduate).

Fieldwork in Their Own Village — No Travel

Students do their project in their own village or nearby area. No need to travel to any city. They work from home, in their community — and that is their strength.

Works for All Departments

Agriculture, Commerce, Arts, Science, Law, Education, Economics, Computer Science — every student gets a project that matches their field of study.

Their Work Gets Published

The best research reports written by students will be published on KaryoSetu's blog with their name as the author. That is real recognition.

Completely Free — No Risk

Registration is free. The program is free. Students only need a smartphone. No fees, no hidden costs. Your college does not need to arrange anything.

📩 Want to bring this to your college?

Bring KaryoSetu's Gram Scholars Program to Your College

What You Will Do →

You will meet farmers, farm workers, equipment owners, and produce sellers in your area. You will fill their details on the app — name, what they grow, their phone, their photo. Using AI, you will create one simple crop guide that helps a local farmer get a better price. At the end, you write a report about your village's farming world.

Your job is different from others — you will test the KaryoSetu app on real phones in a rural setting. Check how it works on low-cost Android phones, slow internet, with people who are not tech-savvy. Test the AI voice assistant 'Samjho'. Write what worked and what didn't. Your feedback will directly improve the app.

Common Questions

For coordinators and students alike

QIs this paid or unpaid?

The program is completely free. But the career value is huge — AI training worth ₹15,000+, a certificate, and a Letter of Recommendation. Top scholars are also considered first for paid Setu Saathi roles.

QHow much time does a student need per day?

Weeks 1–3: 1 online session per day (45–60 min). Weeks 3–6: 2–3 hours of fieldwork in their own village. Students set their own schedule — no need to travel anywhere.

QWhat equipment do students need?

Just a smartphone with a decent camera and basic internet. The LMS works on mobile with offline capability for rural areas with poor connectivity.

QWill this interfere with regular academics?

No. Sessions are conducted live and a recording is shared with all students afterwards so you can revisit anytime. Fieldwork happens in the student's own village at their own pace. Most students manage both with ease.

QCan multiple students from the same college apply?

Yes, and it is encouraged! Colleges where 5 or more students join get a special Partner College mention on our website. Contact us to bring the program to your college.

QWhat exactly do students document in the field?

They create digital profiles and service/product listings for local workers, farmers, artisans, shopkeepers, and professionals — essentially building a digital directory of rural livelihoods in their community.

Who Will Teach You

Sessions Led by the Founder Herself

You will not be learning from a random trainer. The program is designed and conducted by Trupti Gavit — the founder and director of KaryoSetu.

IIT Bombay GraduateRural India EntrepreneurTech for Bharat

Her Story

Trupti grew up watching the problems of rural India from very close. Her father is a farmer. Every harvest season, he could not find workers even though workers nearby could not find work. They just never connected.

After graduating from IIT Bombay — India's top engineering institute — Trupti decided to use technology to fix this problem. She built KaryoSetu: India's first hyperlocal app designed for rural people, in their own language, on basic smartphones.

The Gram Scholars program is her way of involving students like you in this mission — so that the solution is built by people who actually understand the problem.

What She Will Teach You

  • 🧠How to think like an entrepreneur — even from a small village
  • 🤖How AI actually works and how to use it in daily life
  • 📊How to do real field research — like big companies do
  • 🌱How one student can create real change in their community
  • 💼How to present your work so any employer will respect it
"My father is a farmer. I went to IIT. But I came back — because the real work is here, in our villages. And I need people like you to help me do it."
— Trupti Gavit
