Chapter 1
Okay listen up — think about how many shops are in your village or town. Kirana stores, tailors, mechanics, chai stalls, beauty parlors, medical shops, furniture makers, electricians… just think about it. Maybe 50, maybe 100, maybe even more. Now ask yourself — how many of these shops are on Instagram? How many have a Google listing?
The answer? Very few. Probably not even 5-10%.
And THAT is your opportunity! 🎯
The Shop Spotlight concept is super simple — you make short video reels of local shops in your area and post them on Instagram. That's it. That simple.
"Wait, just make a video? What's the big deal?" — That IS the big deal! The work that seems simple, nobody actually does it. You will do it, and you will see results.
Shop Spotlight is not just about making videos — it is a complete system where you are bringing local businesses into the digital world. You are a bridge — between offline shops and online customers.
Think carefully about this. In today's world, everything happens on the phone. People search for restaurants on their phone. Looking for a doctor? Phone. Need a plumber? Google search. Need an electrician? Ask on WhatsApp.
But what about the shops in your village or town? They are still running the old-school way — purely on word of mouth. "Oh, Ramu's shop is good" — that's basically their entire marketing.
Now here's the problem — new customers cannot find them. Someone moves to the area, they need a kirana store — they will Google it, check Instagram. And if your local dukaan is not online, that customer goes to someone else.
That's where YOU come in — as a Setu Star!
One Setu Star made a 30-second reel of their village chai wala. That's it! A simple, straightforward video — chai being made, steam rising, uncle smiling at the camera. Caption: "₹10 ki chai, ₹10 lakh ka taste! 🍵" — Result? 15,000 views, 200+ likes, and 8 new customers in just one week!
In this game, nobody loses — everybody wins. This is the true win-win-win:
When all three parties are happy — shopkeeper, you, and viewer — it becomes a sustainable business. No force, no pressure. Everything happens naturally.
Check out some examples of what good Shop Spotlights look like. Get ideas from these for the kind of content you should be creating:
Title: "Ramesh ki Kirana — 30 saal se gaon ki zaroorat"
Hook: "30 years, one shop, one trust — this is Ramesh ji's kirana!"
Content: Camera slowly pans across shelves full of products. Ramesh ji smiling behind the counter.
Close-up of atta bags, oil bottles, dal packets. Ramesh ji says: "Yahan sab milta hai — ghar ka sab
saamaan ek jagah."
Result: 12,000 views, 5 new regular customers, Ramesh ji created a KaryoSetu listing!
Title: "Sunita Tailors — Suit ready in 2 days!"
Hook: "Suit ready? How many days? JUST 2! ✂️"
Content: Sunita didi cutting fabric, close-up of sewing machine in action,
finished suits hanging on rack, a happy customer collecting her suit.
Result: 8,500 views, 3 new orders in the first week, Sunita didi referred 2 more
shops — her neighbour's electrical shop and the parlor next door!
Title: "Mangal Chai Stall — The village adda since 6 AM"
Hook: "6 AM — the village hasn't woken up yet, but Mangal bhai's chai steam is already rising! ☕"
Content: Steam rising from chai, close-up of bubbling tea with ginger and cardamom,
Mangal bhai pouring chai with skill (oonchi dhaar!), group of men sipping chai and laughing.
Result: 22,000 views (chai content goes VIRAL!), people from outside the village
started coming to drink chai, Mangal bhai even put up a board: "As seen on Instagram!" 😄
Every Shop Spotlight must have these 4 things:
No drama, no overacting. Show it as it is. People catch fake stuff in one second. If the dukaan is small, show it small — but highlight its quality and service. "Small shop, big heart!" — that should be your approach.
On Instagram Reels, attention span is super short — people decide in 3 seconds whether to watch or scroll past. So keep your video 30-60 seconds, maximum 90 seconds. Talk less, show more.
The viewer should get some useful information — where is the shop, what do they sell, what are the rates, what are the timings, what's special about it. Don't just say "nice shop" and end the video — give details!
There should be some fun element! Don't make a boring documentary. Use trending music, get the shopkeeper to say something funny, add a challenge ("Guess the price?"), or share a surprising fact.
| Feature | ❌ Bad Spotlight | ✅ Good Spotlight |
|---|---|---|
| Length | 3-minute long video | 30-60 seconds, crisp |
| Audio | Horns honking, dogs barking in background | Trending music or clear voice |
| Content | "This is a shop… it's nice…" that's it | Name, location, products, rate, specialty |
| Filming | Shaky, dark, wrong angles | Steady, well-lit, products clearly visible |
| CTA | No call to action | "Follow for more, link in bio, download KaryoSetu!" |
| Feel | Boring, flat, like a school project | Fun, energetic, like a friend telling you about it |
Simple rule: Minimum 2-3 Shop Spotlights per week.
"Wait, 2-3 is too many?" — Nah, making one reel takes maximum 30-45 minutes (filming + editing). Invest 1.5 hours per week — and watch how your page grows.
| Level | Spotlights / Week | Monthly Total | Expected Reach |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🟡 Minimum | 2 | 8 | 20,000-40,000 views |
| 🟢 Good | 3-4 | 12-16 | 50,000-80,000 views |
| 🔥 Star Level | 5-7 | 20-28 | 1,00,000+ views |
Quality > Quantity — always. 2 good videos are better than 5 bad ones. But 0 videos is the worst! Post something every week — consistency is king.
Make a simple weekly plan:
| Day | Task | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Identify 2-3 shops you want to film | 15 min |
| Tuesday | Talk to the shopkeeper, get permission | 30 min |
| Wednesday | Film Dukaan #1 | 30 min |
| Thursday | Edit and post Video #1 | 30 min |
| Friday | Film Dukaan #2 | 30 min |
| Saturday | Edit and post Video #2 | 30 min |
| Sunday | Check results, plan next week | 15 min |
Total weekly time: ~3 hours. You probably spend more than that watching memes on WhatsApp anyway, right? 😄
Right now, take a piece of paper and list 20 shops in your village/area that you could make a Spotlight of. For each shop, write down:
This list will become your content calendar for the next 2 months!
Go on Instagram and search for: #ShopSpotlight, #LocalBusiness, #SmallBusinessIndia. Watch at least 5 good videos and note down:
This will give you an idea of what works and what doesn't.
Chapter 2
This is the most important chapter. You can make the best videos in the world — but if you can't convince the shopkeeper, the video simply won't happen! 😅
A lot of people feel shy about approaching shopkeepers. "What if they say no?" "What if they get offended?" "How do I even start?"
Relax! You are not asking them for money — you are GIVING them something for FREE! You are doing FREE marketing for their dukaan! Most shopkeepers will be happy once they understand this.
You are not selling — you are HELPING. You are making the shopkeeper's life easier. Go with this mindset — confidence will come naturally.
When you are approaching a shopkeeper for the first time, someone you don't personally know:
"Namaste uncle/bhaiya! I'm [Your Name], from [Area]. I make Instagram videos of local shops in our area. Your dukaan looks really nice — can I make a short video of it? It'll reach 10,000+ people and it's completely free for you!"
If they seem interested after this, add:
"See, I'm a Star Partner with KaryoSetu. We are bringing the best local businesses online. There's zero cost to you — I'll make the video, post it, and people will learn about your dukaan. It'll take just 2 minutes!"
Raj is a Setu Star and went to a kirana store.
Raj: "Namaste chacha ji! I'm Raj, from Sawai Madhopur. I make Instagram videos of
shops in our area. Your dukaan caught my eye — how long have you been running it?"
Shopkeeper: "25 years now, beta."
Raj: "25 years! Wow chacha ji! That must be the oldest dukaan in the area. Look, I'll
make a short 30-second video — I'll post it on Instagram. 10,000 people will see it,
you'll get new customers too. Zero cost to you. Should I make it?"
Shopkeeper: "Yes beta, go ahead!" 😊
When the shopkeeper already knows you — a neighbour's shop, a relative's dukaan, or somewhere you go regularly:
"Bhaiya/Didi, do you know I'm a Star Partner with KaryoSetu? I feature the best shops in our area on Instagram. Your dukaan should be the first one! Just 2 minutes — can I shoot a quick video?"
When someone already knows you, the conversation is much easier. You just need to explain what you are doing and how it benefits them.
Make your first 3-4 videos of shops you already know. This way you: (a) Get practice without pressure, (b) Build a portfolio to show others, (c) Build confidence for cold approaches!
Sometimes you need to explain in detail what the benefit is. Use this script then:
"Look, these days everyone searches on their phone. 'Near me kirana', 'best tailor in [area]' — this is what people Google. If your dukaan is not online, how will new customers find you? I'll make a reel — totally free — and 5,000-10,000 people will see it. Zero cost to you! And if you want even more customers, you can create a free listing on the KaryoSetu app too!"
Not every shopkeeper will say yes. Some will refuse. That's okay — handle it professionally. Here are common objections and how to respond:
"Absolutely, no pressure at all. But think about this — what if your competitors go online? Their customers will grow while yours stay the same. This is a FREE opportunity — what's the harm in trying? And if you don't like the video, I won't post it — promise!"
"Totally fine! I'll only show the dukaan and products — your face won't be in the video. Many shopkeepers prefer it this way — just the shop is shown, and I do a voiceover. No problem at all!"
Many shopkeepers don't want to appear on camera at first. But once they see results — views coming in, customers showing up — they themselves say: "Bhai, show me in the next video too!" 😄 Be patient.
"Benefits? Ji, one shopkeeper got 15 new customers from a single video. Let me show you on my phone — here's the video, look at how many views it got. It's free — what do you lose by trying? Even if just 1 new customer comes, that's pure profit!"
"Absolutely! I'll come tomorrow morning/afternoon — it'll take just 2 minutes. Can I take your number so I can call and confirm first? Don't want to disturb you."
"That's great! But think about it — more customers means more business, right? And since it's FREE, there's no loss. Plus, when people see your dukaan's video, they'll say 'Wow, what a nice shop!' — your reputation grows even more!"
"I understand, ji. But look — even your kids use phones, right? Ask them — everyone is on Instagram. Today's generation searches everything on their phone. If your dukaan is not there, an entire generation won't know about you. I'm just making a short video — nothing else. No signup, no payment, nothing."
If someone clearly says no 2-3 times, accept it and leave politely. "That's perfectly fine, ji. Whenever you feel like it, just let me know. Here's my number." Give them your card or number and leave gracefully. Sometimes they call back on their own a week later! 😊
It's not just about words — your body language matters a lot too. Remember these basics:
| ✅ Do | ❌ Don't |
|---|---|
| 😊 Smile — genuine, friendly | 😐 Don't go with a boring/serious face |
| 🤝 Fold hands or offer handshake as greeting | 🙅 Don't keep hands in pockets |
| 👀 Maintain eye contact — builds trust | 📱 Don't look at your phone while talking |
| 🧍 Stand straight, confident posture | 🫣 Don't go hunched over and nervous |
| 🗣️ Clear, confident, friendly tone | 🤫 Don't speak too softly or mumble |
| 👂 Listen to them — actively listen | 💬 Don't just talk about yourself, let them speak |
| 🎽 Wear clean, decent clothes | 👔 Don't dress so formal that it scares them |
When the shopkeeper says yes — great! Now do these things immediately:
Always show the video to the shopkeeper first — then post. If they want something changed or removed — do it. This builds trust, and they end up referring other shopkeepers to you too!
Listen, rejection is normal. Every successful person faces rejections. If you approach 10 shopkeepers:
Never take it personally. They are rejecting the concept, not you. And quite often, when they see results (a competitor's video goes viral), they themselves call up: "Bhai, make mine too!" 😄
Practice at home with a family member or friend. They play the shopkeeper, you play the Setu Star. Do it 5 times — handle a different objection each time:
Practice builds confidence — 100% tested! 💪
Turn on your phone's front camera and record your shopkeeper approach. Watch yourself in the video — how do you look? Is there a smile? Is there confidence? Record 5 times and save the best one. This is your "practice reel"!
Chapter 3
No matter what type of dukaan it is — these 8 shots always work. Think of this as your "checklist" — get these shots in every video:
| # | Shot Type | What to Capture | Duration | Camera Tip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 🏪 Shop Front | Board / Banner / Shop name | 3 sec | Shoot from slightly below, angled up — makes the dukaan look bigger |
| 2 | 🚶 Walk-in Shot | You walking towards the shop | 2 sec | Hand your phone to a friend — they shoot you walking in |
| 3 | 📦 Products Display | Slowly pan across products | 5-8 sec | Smooth, slow pan — left to right or top to bottom |
| 4 | 🔍 Close-up Products | Best / unique / interesting items | 5 sec | Hold phone 15-20cm away — let it focus first, then shoot |
| 5 | 🗣️ Shopkeeper Talking | If they're comfortable, get 1-2 lines from them | 5-10 sec | Their face should be clearly visible, good lighting |
| 6 | ⚙️ Process / Making | Chai being made, stitching, repair work | 5-8 sec | This is the most engaging shot — show the action! |
| 7 | 💰 Price / Offer | Mention rates as text overlay | 3 sec | Add text in editing — bold, readable font |
| 8 | 📣 CTA (Call to Action) | Face the camera — follow, link bio, KaryoSetu | 5 sec | Look straight into the camera, smile, keep your energy up! |
Always shoot more footage than you need. If you want to make a 30-second reel, shoot 2-3 minutes of footage. It's way easier to select the best parts during editing. Too little footage = no options!
Every dukaan is different — and every type of shop needs slightly different content. Here are common shop types and their specific shots:
For a kirana store, show these:
Shot 1: Board — "Sharma General Store" (3 sec) → Shot 2: Walk in through door (2 sec) → Shot 3: Pan across atta/dal/oil shelves (5 sec) → Shot 4: Close-up of special items — jaggery, pickles (3 sec) → Shot 5: Sharma ji weighing atta for a customer (5 sec) → Shot 6: Text overlay: "30 years of trust, everything under one roof!" (3 sec) → Shot 7: You face the camera: "Follow for more local shops! KaryoSetu link in bio!" (5 sec)
At a tailor's shop, show these:
At a mechanic's shop, show these:
For food stalls — this is the content most likely to go viral:
Food videos are the most viral content out there! Chai, samosa, pakoda — these create an emotional connection. Even if you only make videos of food stalls in your area, your page will grow. Food content is KING! 👑
At a beauty parlor, show these:
| Shop Type | Key Shots | Hook Idea |
|---|---|---|
| 📱 Mobile Shop | Phone display, accessories, repair work | "Screen cracked? New one fitted in 30 minutes!" |
| 💊 Medical Store | Medicine shelves, organized setup | "Open 24 hours! Your lifesaver in emergencies!" |
| 🪑 Furniture | Finished pieces, crafting process, wood | "Custom furniture — made exactly for your home!" |
| ⚡ Electrician | Wiring, switches, tools, repair work | "Power out? This bhai will be there in 15 minutes!" |
| 🌾 Seeds/Fertilizer | Product bags, variety, advisory service | "Best seeds for the best crops — everything available here!" |
| 📚 Stationery | Notebooks, pens, school supplies | "School season starts — all supplies in one place!" |
| 🧴 Cosmetics | Product range, branded items, prices | "Branded cosmetics — at honest rates!" |
| 🏗️ Hardware | Tools, paints, pipes, fixtures | "Building a house? Everything you need is right here!" |
Don't forget this — getting permission is mandatory! Making and posting a video without the shopkeeper's consent is WRONG. Follow these rules:
Posting a video without permission is wrong and can even cause legal trouble. If the shopkeeper says no, RESPECT that. Never shoot secretly. If trust breaks, word will spread in the whole area — "This person posts videos without asking!" — then nobody will cooperate with you.
Some things should NEVER appear in your videos — no matter how tempting:
If you're in doubt about whether to show something — DON'T SHOW IT. Safety first. Make positive, helpful, honest content — leave everything else alone.
Check this list before every filming session:
Chapter 4
This is the most basic rule, and it's the one most people mess up!
ALWAYS shoot VERTICAL! Meaning phone held upright — the way you normally hold it. Never shoot horizontal (landscape)!
If you shoot horizontal, it will look tiny on Instagram — black bars above and below. Views will be low, engagement will drop. Don't make this mistake — VERTICAL ONLY! If there's one thing to remember from this entire module, this is it! 📱
9:16 = Width 9 parts, Height 16 parts = VERTICAL (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok) ✅
16:9 = Width 16 parts, Height 9 parts = HORIZONTAL (YouTube long video, TV) ❌ Not for Instagram
1:1 = Square = Okay for Instagram feed posts, not for Reels ❌
Lighting decides 70% of your video quality. An average phone in good lighting gives amazing video. And an expensive phone in bad lighting gives terrible video.
Light source (sun, bulb, tube light) should ALWAYS be BEHIND the camera, IN FRONT of the subject!
Meaning: You hold the camera, light comes from behind you, and falls on whatever you're shooting. Simple!
If you're shooting outside the shop, these 2 times are best:
When shooting inside a shop: (1) Turn on tube lights/bulbs — more light is always better. (2) Shoot near a window — natural light is best. (3) If it's very dark, use your phone's flash — but flash makes things look unnatural, so keep it as your last option. (4) Ask your friend to turn on their phone's flashlight and point it at the subject — instant studio light! 💡
Shaky, wobbly video looks terrible. People scroll past it instantly. Follow these tips:
You can get a phone tripod for ₹200-300 — from Amazon or the local market. Best investment ever! Shoot on a tripod — zero shaking, professional look.
No tripod? No problem! Prop your phone between books to hold it upright, lean it against a water bottle, or tie it to a stand with a rubber band. Jugaad is also engineering! 😄
In your phone's camera settings, there's an option called "Grid" or "Gridlines". Turn it ON! It creates 9 boxes on your screen (like tic-tac-toe).
Video can be great but if the audio is bad — everything is ruined. Pay attention to audio quality:
1) Horns — in traffic areas, shoot early morning when traffic is less. 2) Generator — ask them to turn it off for 2 minutes if possible. 3) Dogs barking — change location or wait it out. 4) Wind — cover the mic with your hand or shoot indoors. 5) Phone notification sounds — turn DND mode ON before shooting!
If there's one format to memorize, it's this — the perfect 30-second reel:
| Time | Section | What to Do | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0-3 sec | 🎣 HOOK | Grab attention! | "This dukaan has been running for 25 years!" |
| 3-8 sec | 🏪 INTRO | Shop name, location | "[Name] ji's shop, on the main road in [Area]" |
| 8-20 sec | 📦 SHOW | Products, service, process | Pan across products, close-ups, making process |
| 20-25 sec | ⭐ SPECIAL | Something special — rate, offer, specialty | "Rate? Ladies suit from ₹300! And ready in 2 days!" |
| 25-30 sec | 📣 CTA | Follow, like, download KaryoSetu | "Follow for more local shops! Link in bio!" |
You need to grab the viewer's attention in the first 3 seconds — otherwise they scroll! Try these hook ideas:
Make 3 different versions of the same video with different hooks. Post one first — if views aren't great, delete it and re-post with a different hook. This trick really works — even professional creators do this!
Some shops deserve more detail — 30 seconds isn't enough to cover everything. Use the 60-second format then:
| Time | Section | Content |
|---|---|---|
| 0-3 sec | 🎣 Hook | Strong opening — surprise, question, or bold claim |
| 3-10 sec | 🏪 Intro | Shop name, location, how many years running |
| 10-25 sec | 📦 Products Tour | Complete walk-through — show everything |
| 25-40 sec | 🗣️ Shopkeeper Story | Their story — struggle, journey, what makes them special |
| 40-50 sec | 💰 Rates & Offers | Prices, discounts, home delivery, etc. |
| 50-55 sec | 📍 Location | Where it is — with landmarks for reference |
| 55-60 sec | 📣 CTA | Follow, link bio, download KaryoSetu |
Music is super important in Instagram Reels — the right music can 2-3x your views!
In the Instagram Reels editor, when you select audio, some tracks have a ↗️ (trending arrow) next to them — pick those! Using trending audio makes Instagram automatically show your reel to more people.
Text overlays make your video more informative and professional. Add these:
Make a "Shop Spotlight" of your own home! Pretend your kitchen or a room is a dukaan and make a 30-second practice reel. Follow these steps:
Don't post this practice reel on Instagram — it's just for practice! 😄
Shoot the same thing (your face or an object) in 4 different lighting conditions:
Compare them — see how much difference it makes! Front light will ALWAYS be the best.
Chapter 5
Here are 5 complete scripts — copy them, customize for your area and shop, and shoot! Each script has 5 elements: Hook, Body, CTA, Caption, and Hashtags.
These are templates — don't read them word-for-word in front of the camera! Say it in your own language, your own style. Replace [Name] with the shopkeeper's name, [Area] with your area. Speak naturally — like you're telling a friend about it!
"This kirana has been serving the village for 50 years! 🏪"

Choose a dukaan from your area (from the list you made in Activity 1.1) and write a complete script for it — Hook, Body, CTA, Caption, and Hashtags. Use the templates above as reference but write in your own words. Write it on paper or in your phone's notes. This will be your first real script!
Read the script you wrote out loud 3 times. Set a timer — does it fit in 30 seconds? If not, trim it down. Practice in front of the camera — see how you look. Speak naturally, don't read it like a robot!
Chapter 6
This is a MANDATORY step — never skip it!
After editing the video, BEFORE posting it, show it to the shopkeeper. Send it on WhatsApp or go to their dukaan and show it on your phone.
"[Name] ji, your dukaan's video is ready! Have a look — how do you like it? If you want anything changed, just tell me, I'll fix it. I need your okay before I post it. And I'll send you the video on WhatsApp too — you can share it with your customers!"
After showing the video, if the shopkeeper seems really happy, say: "Are there any other shops nearby that would want this too? I can make theirs as well!" — This is how you get organic referrals! 🔄
This is the MOST IMPORTANT step for your earnings! Making the video is just for content — the real game is here: Get the shopkeeper to create a listing on the KaryoSetu app!
"[Name] ji, there's an app called KaryoSetu — you can create a free listing for your dukaan there. Search 'KaryoSetu' on Google or I'll send you the link on WhatsApp."
"Enter your phone number, an OTP will come, put your name — that's it, account created!"
"Now tap 'Create Listing'. Enter your dukaan name, select what you sell, choose your area, add 2-3 good photos. I'll help you!"
"Let me click 3-4 nice photos of your dukaan right now — we'll add them to the listing. These are the photos people will see when they search — so they need to be good quality!"
"One more step — enter this code: [YOUR_CODE]. This gets you some extra benefits and gives me credit too!"
Entering your referral code is the most important thing — because THIS is how you earn! If the shopkeeper creates a listing but doesn't enter your code, you get no credit. Always do this step yourself — say "Let me enter it for you" and do it yourself.
Help the shopkeeper make a good listing:
❌ Bad Listing: "Sharma Store. Kirana." — That's it? Just that?
✅ Good Listing: "Sharma General Store — [Area]'s most trusted kirana for 25 years.
Atta, dal, oil, masala, soap, biscuits — everything for your home, all in one place!
Home delivery available. Open 7 AM to 10 PM. Contact: 9876543210."
After posting the video, do this:
You need maximum engagement in the first 30 minutes after posting — so: (1) Immediately message 5-10 close friends: "New reel is up — like and comment please!" (2) Leave 2-3 comments yourself (ask questions — "Is there a dukaan like this in your area?" etc.) (3) Share on your story with a poll: "Would you visit this shop?" This initial boost signals to Instagram's algorithm that your content is popular — and it shows it to more people! 🚀
Many Setu Stars make this mistake — they make the video, post it, and forget about it. Following up is essential!
One week later, visit the shopkeeper or give them a call:
"[Name] ji, namaste! I'm [Your Name] — the one who made your dukaan's video. How's it going? Did any new customers come after seeing the video? Let me tell you — your video was seen by [X] people! [X] likes! The response has been great. Should I make another video? This time we can show something new — maybe an offer or a new product?"
Priya made a video of a sweet shop. When she followed up a week later, the shopkeeper told her: "Beti, 8 new customers came because of the video! One of them ordered 10 kg laddu — for a wedding!" The shopkeeper was so happy that he gave Priya 3 phone numbers of his shopkeeper friends — "Make their videos too!" 🎉
Making one video and forgetting about it — that's the wrong approach. The magic happens when you build long-term relationships with shopkeepers.
If you maintain good relationships with 50 shopkeepers — those 50 people are your ambassadors. Each shopkeeper knows an average of 10 more people. 50 × 10 = 500 potential connections! This professional network is no less valuable than an MBA degree! 💪
One happy shopkeeper = 2-3 more referrals. Here's how the chain works:
Amit made a kirana store video in January. In February, that kirana wala referred 2 more shops. In March, each of those 2 referred 1 more each. By April, Amit had a chain of 8 shopkeepers — without a single cold approach! All of them created KaryoSetu listings — Amit's referral earnings kept growing! 📈
Track your progress — it keeps you motivated and helps you improve. Make a simple tracker:
| Date | Shop | Type | Views | Likes | KaryoSetu Signup? | New Customers? | Referral? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 Jan | Sharma Kirana | Kirana | 12,000 | 340 | ✅ Yes | 5 | Referred 2 more |
| 18 Jan | Sunita Tailors | Tailor | 8,500 | 210 | ✅ Yes | 3 | Referred 1 more |
| 22 Jan | Mangal Chai | Food | 22,000 | 680 | ✅ Yes | 8 | Referred 3 more |
Keep it simple — in your phone's Notes app, or in a notebook. If you're tech-savvy, use Google Sheets — you can access it from anywhere. Update it every week — this helps you see what's working and what's not.
Many new Setu Stars make these mistakes — learn from them so you don't:
| # | ❌ Mistake | ✅ Right Way |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Making video without showing shopkeeper | ALWAYS show them first, then post |
| 2 | Forgetting to enter referral code | Enter it yourself — say "Let me do it for you" |
| 3 | Not following up | Always visit or call 1 week later |
| 4 | Only making video, not creating listing | Video + KaryoSetu listing = COMPLETE job |
| 5 | Forgetting after one video | Make a monthly content plan — repeat visits |
| 6 | Making negative content (comparisons, price wars) | ALWAYS positive and helpful content |
| 7 | Posting without permission | Verbal permission + show before posting |
| 8 | Shooting horizontal video | VERTICAL — 9:16 — ALWAYS! |
| 9 | Boring, flat content — no energy | Fun, energetic, talk like a friend |
| 10 | No hashtags or just 1-2 | 10-15 relevant hashtags in every post |
