Alright friends, let's start by understanding what Instagram actually is, why it matters, and how to download it and create your account. If you've never used Instagram before — no worries at all! We'll explain everything from scratch, completely step-by-step.
Instagram is an app where you can post photos and videos — and the whole world can see them. You know how you put up a WhatsApp status? Instagram is just like that, except way more people can see it — not just your contacts, but literally anyone!
Think of it as WhatsApp status + YouTube combined = Instagram! Post photos, make short videos (called "Reels"), put up stories — all in one single app.
Right now, over 30 crore people in India use Instagram. People from your gaon are slowly coming on Instagram too. And once you become a Setu Star, you'll use this app to promote shops and businesses in your area — so this app is your biggest weapon!
Instagram is completely FREE. There's zero cost — no charge to download, no charge to create an account, no charge to post. Everything is free!
Say you're from Wardha. You post a nice photo of "Sharma Kirana Store" on Instagram. In the caption you write "Wardha's oldest kirana dukaan!" and add the hashtag #Wardha #KaryoSetuStar. Now anyone in Wardha who searches #Wardha on Instagram can see this photo! That's exactly how you'll make your area digital.
Now let's download Instagram. It's super easy. If your phone already has Instagram, skip this and move ahead. But if it doesn't, follow these steps:
Download the right app! There are lots of fake apps on Play Store with names like "Insta" or "InstaGram Pro". Only download the app that shows the company name "Meta Platforms, Inc." Everything else is fake — they could steal your data!
The Instagram app is about 200-250 MB. If your phone is running low on space, first delete some old photos or unused apps. Go to Settings → Storage to check how much space you have left.
Once Instagram is downloaded, the first time you open the app you'll get a sign up option. Let's do it step-by-step:
If you have a Gmail account, you'll also get a "Sign up with Email" option. Enter your email instead of phone number — the rest of the steps are the same. But signing up with phone number is easier because the OTP comes instantly.
Your username is your "address" on Instagram — like @raju_wardha_star. When someone searches for you or tags you, this username is what gets used. So pick it wisely!
We recommend including your name, area, and "karyosetu" or "star" in your username. This makes it easy for people to find you.
Right now, think of 3 username options for yourself. Write them down (on paper or in your phone's notes):
Check on Instagram which one is available. If all three are taken, try adding numbers or dots.
Super important step! Instagram has 3 types of accounts: Personal, Business, and Creator. You need to switch to a Creator Account. It's free and gives you a bunch of extra features.
| Feature | Personal Account | Creator Account ⭐ |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics (how many people saw your content) | ❌ Not available | ✅ Full data available |
| Contact Button | ❌ No | ✅ Email/Phone button |
| Category shows on profile | ❌ No | ✅ "Digital Creator" will show |
| Insights (when are most people active) | ❌ No | ✅ Yes, full insights |
| Promoted Content tools | ❌ No | ✅ Yes |
| DM Inbox categories (Primary/General/Requests) | ❌ No | ✅ Yes — organized inbox |
| Collab features | Limited | ✅ Full access |
No stress — you can change it anytime later. Go to Profile → Edit Profile → Category and change whenever you want. For now, "Digital Creator" is the best choice because it tells people exactly what you do.
Open your profile and check:
If all three are yes — awesome, your Creator Account is active! ✅
Account created — now secure it too. A lot of people get their accounts hacked because they don't follow basic security steps.
No matter how close someone is — never tell anyone your Instagram password. If someone pretends to be "Instagram team" and asks for your password via DM — that's FRAUD! Instagram never asks for passwords in DMs.
❌ Bad: raju123 — way too easy, anyone can guess it
❌ Bad: password — the most common password ever
✅ Good: Raju@Wardha_2026! — strong, and you'll remember it too
✅ Good: Setu$tar_99# — special characters included
Account created? Great! Now let's make it look professional. When someone visits your profile, the first thing they'll see is your Display Name. You need to set it up so that at a glance, people know — who you are, where you're from, and what you do.
Every Setu Star's display name should follow a standard format. This makes all Setu Star members look uniform — like a team! People immediately know this is a KaryoSetu Star Partner.
[Your Name] | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ [Your Area]
This format conveys 3 things in a single line:
| Reason | Explanation |
|---|---|
| Brand Recognition | When anyone searches "KaryoSetu Star", all Setu Star members will show up. A powerful network forms! |
| Local Identity | The area name helps local people identify you. "Oh hey, this person is from Wardha — let me follow!" — that's the kind of reaction you'll get. |
| Searchability | Instagram's search algorithm indexes the display name too. Having your area name means you'll rank higher in local searches. |
| Trust Building | Uniform naming shows professionalism. People think "this looks like a serious program" — and trust grows. |
| Team Spirit | All Setu Star members look the same — like wearing the same jersey! Gives a real community feel. |
Whatever name you entered while creating the account, now change it to the proper format. Follow these steps:
[Your Name] | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ [Area]
Instagram only lets you change your name 2 times in 14 days. So get it right the first time! Don't make spelling mistakes. Type it somewhere else first to check, then copy-paste it.
| ✅ Do's — Do This | ❌ Don'ts — Don't Do This |
|---|---|
| Use your real first name | Don't use a fake name or nickname |
| Write "KaryoSetu Star" exactly like this | Don't write "Karyo Setu" or "karyosetu star" (lowercase) |
| Always include the ⭐ emoji | Don't use 💫 or 🌟 or ✨ — only ⭐ |
| Properly capitalize the area name (Wardha, Nagpur) | Don't write "wardha" (lowercase) or "WARDHA" (all caps) |
| Use the pipe symbol ( | ) for separation | Don't use slash (/), dash (-), or comma (,) |
| Use a short area name (Wardha, Nagpur Rural) | Don't write your full address ("Wardha, Maharashtra, India") |
| Keep the name concise — fits in 1 line | Don't make it so long it wraps to 2 lines |
Replace with your name and area:
_______ | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ _______
Follow the steps above and change your display name right now. Then take a screenshot and send it to your Setu Star WhatsApp group so the team can verify! 📸
Along with the display name, a profile picture is also essential. We'll cover this in detail in Chapter 4, but for now just put up any clear photo where your face is visible. You can update it to the perfect photo after reading Chapter 4.
Friends, the Instagram bio is that short piece of text on your profile, right below your name. It's your "introduction card" — just like a visiting card tells people who someone is and what they do. Except on Instagram, it's digital!
When a new person visits your profile, the first 3 things they look at are:
If the bio is empty or boring — people will leave without following you. But if the bio is interesting and informative — people will follow, send DMs, and engage with your content.
Research says a visitor spends only 3-5 seconds on your profile deciding whether to follow or not. In those 3-5 seconds, the bio is what makes the call — so your bio needs to be strong!
A good Setu Star bio should have 4 things:
| Element | What to Write | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
| Line 1 — What You Are | A tagline like "Your gaon's digital friend" | Instantly tells people your role |
| Line 2 — Brand + Area | "KaryoSetu Star ⭐ [Area]" or "@karyosetu Partner" | Brand recognition + local identity |
| Line 3 — CTA (Call to Action) | "DM me", "Follow for tips", "Link below 👇" | Tells people what to do next |
| Link | KaryoSetu app download link (with referral code) | Drives traffic to the app |
Instagram bio allows a maximum of 150 characters. That's very little! Every word counts — don't write unnecessary stuff. Use emojis because they communicate more in less space.
To start a new line in your bio, just press "Enter" / "Return" directly in the Instagram app. If that doesn't work — write your bio in your phone's Notes app with line breaks, then copy the whole thing and paste it into Instagram's bio field. The line breaks will stay!
Below are 5 complete bio templates. Pick any one, fill in your area name, and paste it. You can customize later!
Your gaon's digital friend 📱

Best for: — People interested in making reels and videos. "Content creator" is a very popular and respected word on Instagram.
Line-by-line explanation:
Below the bio there's a "Website" field where you can put one clickable link. This is where you'll put the KaryoSetu app download link — with your referral code!
Your referral link will look something like this:
https://karyosetu.com/download?ref=YOUR_CODE
If you don't know your referral code, open the KaryoSetu app → Profile →
"Share App" / "Refer" section. Or ask your Team Leader.
Instagram only allows 1 link in the bio. If you need multiple links (like WhatsApp + App Download + Google Map), you can use a free service like Linktree. But when starting out, just the KaryoSetu link is enough.
Use these tricks to fit within 150 characters:
Listen, your profile photo is super important! It's that small round image that shows up everywhere — on your posts, comments, DMs, search results. People see your photo before they see your content. So it needs to look good and professional.
Think about it — you're scrolling Instagram and a post shows up. Above the post there's a tiny profile photo. If that photo is clear, has a smile, good lighting — you think "okay, this looks professional." But if it's blurry, dark, or a group photo where you can't tell who's who — you'll just ignore it.
That's exactly what other people think when they see your photo too!
Don't put up a photo of an actor, cricketer, or anyone else as your profile pic. It's wrong and breaks trust. Use your real photo — you're perfect just the way you are!
| ✅ Do's | ❌ Don'ts |
|---|---|
| Solo photo (just you) | Group photo |
| Clear face, close-up (chest-up) | Full body / far-away photo |
| Smile 😊 | Angry / serious face |
| Good lighting (natural light is best) | Dark / backlit photo |
| Plain background | Messy / cluttered background |
| Look at camera | Looking away / side pose |
| Recent photo (last 2-3 months) | A 5-year-old photo |
| Natural / minimal editing | Heavy filters / dog ears |
| KaryoSetu branded cap/t-shirt (if you have one) | Sunglasses / mask |
If KaryoSetu gave you a branded cap, t-shirt, or badge — wear it in your profile photo! It looks extra professional and strengthens brand identity.
If you haven't received branded merchandise yet — no worries. Take a nice photo in your normal clothes. When you get the merchandise, update the photo then.
If you take a photo wearing the KaryoSetu t-shirt, make sure the logo is front-facing and clearly visible. The purple KaryoSetu logo looks great on dark-colored clothes!
No need for an expensive camera — your phone camera is enough! Just follow these tips:
Lighting is the most important thing! Stand in front of a window where natural light (sunlight) is coming in from outside. Your face should face the window — so the light falls on your face.
YouTubers use ring lights — but you don't need to buy one! During the day (9-11 AM or 3-5 PM), just stand in front of a window — that's your natural ring light! Your face will be fully lit, no shadows, and the photo will look professional. Completely FREE!
What's behind you matters too. Best option is a plain wall (white or light color). If you're outdoors, stand somewhere with a simple background — like an open field or in front of a plain wall.
Don't stop at one photo. Take 10-15 photos, then pick the best one. Even professional photographers do this — they take 100 photos and select the 1 best!
If selfies aren't coming out great — prop your phone up somewhere (use a book or bottle for support) and set the camera timer (3 sec or 10 sec). Set the timer → strike a pose → click! This looks more natural than a selfie.
Instagram profile photos show in a circle shape. While cropping, make sure your face is in the center of the circle and nothing gets cut off — especially your forehead and chin.
Alright friends, now let's talk about a really powerful feature — Instagram Collab! This feature is rocket fuel for your growth. Let's understand what it is and how to use it.
Collab means "Collaboration" — working together. On Instagram, when you post a photo or reel, you can add another account as a collaborator. This means the post will appear on both profiles!
Imagine — you made an awesome Shop Spotlight reel. You added @karyosetu as a collaborator. @karyosetu accepted it. Now this reel shows on your profile and on @karyosetu's profile! All of @karyosetu's followers will see this reel too!
Say you have 200 followers. @karyosetu has 10,000 followers. If you make a normal post, it reaches a maximum of 200 people. But if you make a collab post, it can potentially reach 10,200 people! Without spending a single rupee — that's the power of collab!
| Feature | Tag (@mention) | Collab (Collaborator) ⭐ |
|---|---|---|
| Where does the post appear? | Only on your profile | On both profiles! |
| Likes/Comments shared? | No | Yes — shown combined |
| Does reach increase? | A little | A lot! |
| Does the collaborator need to accept? | No (automatic) | Yes — they need to accept the invite |
| Both names visible? | Only in the tagged section | In the post header — prominently! |
KaryoSetu's official Instagram handle is @karyosetu. When you collab with them:
Don't send @karyosetu a collab invite on every single post. Only invite on quality content — like Shop Spotlights, Tutorial Reels, Area Features. Sending collab invites on random personal posts will likely get rejected.
Let's walk through the entire process of creating a collab post right now. Follow carefully — every button, every tap:
First, create your normal post or reel — select a photo or record a video, edit it, add filters (if you want), add music (for reels) — do everything normally, just like you'd make any post.
After you've selected and edited your photo/video, you'll land on the "New Post" screen. This is where you can write a caption, add a location, and tag people.
On the "New Post" screen, you'll see a "Tag People" option. Tap it.
After the Tag People screen opens, you'll see two tabs at the top:
In the search bar, type "karyosetu". In the results, the @karyosetu account will appear — the official KaryoSetu page, possibly with a blue tick or verified badge. Tap it.
After selecting @karyosetu, tap "Done". You'll return to the "New Post" screen. Now write your caption, add hashtags, add location — and press the "Share" button!
After you share the post, @karyosetu will get a notification — "You've been invited to collaborate." Until they accept, the post will only show on your profile. Once they accept, it'll appear on both profiles!
The @karyosetu team receives a lot of collab requests. It might take 1-2 days to get accepted. Be patient. If it hasn't been accepted after 3 days, let your Team Leader know.
These content types are perfect for collab:
| Content Type | Collab Recommended? | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| 🏪 Shop Spotlight Reel | ✅ Definitely! | Brand-relevant content, promotes KaryoSetu |
| 📱 App Tutorial | ✅ Definitely! | Grows app users, both sides benefit |
| 🎬 Introduction Reel | ✅ Yes! | Builds your identity with a wider audience |
| 💡 Business Tip | ⚠️ Sometimes | If the tip is KaryoSetu related, then yes |
| 🍕 Personal food photo | ❌ No | Not brand-relevant |
| 🎂 Birthday wish post | ❌ No | Personal content, collab not appropriate |
The @karyosetu team doesn't accept all collab requests — only quality content. Follow these tips so your collab request definitely gets accepted:
"Namaste @karyosetu team! I'm [Name], from [Area] — your Setu Star partner. I made a Shop Spotlight reel today and sent you a collab invite. Please review and accept it. 🙏 #KaryoSetuStar"
Do this right now: open Instagram → select any existing photo (don't post it, just practice!) → "Tag People" → "Invite Collaborator" → search "karyosetu" → see how the process looks. Cancel it afterwards — this is just practice!
Instagram Stories disappear after 24 hours — but if you add them to Highlights, they stay forever! Highlights appear as circular icons on your profile, right below your bio. When a new visitor checks your profile, Story Highlights are one of the first things they notice.
Highlights = "Pinned Stories" — meaning stories you've permanently saved. Just like how you pin important messages on WhatsApp, you can turn important Instagram stories into Highlights.
On your profile, they show up as round circles, each with a name and cover image. Tap on one and all the stories in that category play.
Below your bio on your profile, it'll look something like this:
[ 🏪 Shops ] [ 📱 Tutorials ] [ 💡 Tips ] [ 👋 About Me ]
Each circle is a category. Tap it and all the stories in that category appear!
Every Setu Star needs to create these 4 Highlights. These are standard — all Setu Star members should have the same 4 Highlights:
Name: 🏪 Shops
What to put here: Every Shop Spotlight story you make — add them
all here. Kirana store, kapde ki dukaan, chai stall, salon — every dukaan story
goes in this highlight.
What visitors get: Tap "Shops" and see all the dukaanein in your
area in one place. Like a digital directory!
Name: 📱 Tutorials
What to put here: All the stories that teach people how to use the
KaryoSetu app. "How to download the app", "How to create a listing", "How to
search" — add all these tutorial clips here.
What visitors get: If they want to learn the app, all tutorials are
just one tap away!
Name: 💡 Tips
What to put here: Business tips, digital marketing tips, social
media tips, pricing tips — any useful tip that helps dukaan owners or local
businesses.
What visitors get: Practical knowledge — "this person shares useful
stuff, let me follow!"
Name: 👋 About Me
What to put here: Your introduction — who you are, where you're
from, what you do, how you became a Setu Star, what your area looks like. Stories
with a personal touch.
What visitors get: They get to know you personally — trust builds!
To create a Highlight, you first need Stories (either current stories or old stories saved in your archive). There are two methods:
Old stories will only appear if Story Archive is ON. Check: Settings → Privacy → Story → "Save Story to Archive" — it should be ON. If it's OFF, turn it ON. From now on, every story you post will be saved to the archive after 24 hours.
A Highlight cover is the small round image that shows in the highlight circle. Good covers make your profile look professional and organized.
Long press the Highlight → "Edit Highlight" → "Edit Cover" → choose a new cover photo from gallery → Done! You can change it anytime.
If you don't want to use Canva, here's a trick — open Instagram Story, make the background a solid color (tap Aa and fill with color), then put a big emoji in the center (like 🏪). Post this story and set it as the highlight cover. Simple, clean, effective!
Over time you'll post lots of stories. Keep adding them to the right Highlights:
| Story Type | Highlight Category |
|---|---|
| Kirana store visit | 🏪 Shops |
| Kapde ki dukaan review | 🏪 Shops |
| "How to download the app" tutorial | 📱 Tutorials |
| "How to create a listing" video | 📱 Tutorials |
| "How to take good photos of your dukaan" tip | 💡 Tips |
| "How to set pricing" tip | 💡 Tips |
| Introduction: "Who am I" | 👋 About Me |
| "What my area looks like" story | 👋 About Me |
| Event coverage (mela, bazaar) | 🏪 Shops (or create a new Highlight!) |
The 4 above are mandatory. But if you want, you can create more — like "🎪 Events", "🍕 Food", "📸 Behind the Scenes", "⭐ Reviews". Create as many as you like! But make sure you create these 4 first.
The most recently edited Highlight appears on the far left. Recommended order: About Me → Shops → Tutorials → Tips. "About Me" should show first so new visitors get to know you first.
Friends, this is the most exciting chapter! So far you've created the account, set up the profile, written the bio, added the photo, set up highlights — now it's time to make your first post! And your first post should be an Introduction Reel — where you tell the world who you are and what they'll find on your page!
When someone visits your profile for the first time and looks at your posts section — the very first post they see should be your introduction. It tells people:
On Instagram, Reels get 10x more reach than regular photos. Instagram's algorithm pushes Reels much more. Your introduction should reach as many people as possible — so make a Reel, not a photo post!
Now the most important part — what to say in the Reel. Below is the complete script. Read it, understand it, customize it for yourself, and film it!
"Namaste! I'm [Your Name], from [Your Area].
From today, I'll be showing you the best dukaanein, services, and tips from my
area — all digital!
I'm a KaryoSetu Star Partner.
KaryoSetu is an app where you can buy and sell things from your area — completely
free!
On my page you'll find:
— Dukaan reviews
— App tutorials
— And business tips
Follow me, hit the bell — and let's make our gaon digital!
Link in bio 👇"
| Line | Purpose | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| "Namaste! I'm [Name], from [Area]." | Introduction — who you are, where from | Start with a smile, confident tone |
| "From today I'll be showing you..." | Promise — what this page is about | Keep it natural, like you're talking to a friend |
| "I'm a KaryoSetu Star Partner." | Authority — brand association | Say it with pride — this is an achievement! |
| "KaryoSetu is an app..." | App Introduction — product pitch | Use simple words, no jargon |
| "On my page you'll find..." | Content Pillars — reason to follow | 3 points — don't say too much |
| "Follow me, hit the bell..." | CTA — Call to Action | Say it with energy, exciting tone! |
| "Link in bio 👇" | Conversion — drive app downloads | Point downward (gesture) |
"Namaste! I'm Raju, from Wardha. From today I'll be showing you the best dukaanein, services, and tips from my area — all digital! I'm a KaryoSetu Star Partner. "Namaste! I'm Priya, from Nagpur Rural. From today I'll be showing you the best dukaanein, services, and tips from my area — all digital! I'm a KaryoSetu Star Partner. KaryoSetu is an app where you can buy and sell things from your area — completely free! On my page you'll find: dukaan reviews, app tutorials, and business tips. Follow me, hit the bell — and let's make our gaon digital! Link in bio!"
Script is ready — now pick up that camera and film it! But first, read these filming tips:
A lot of people get stuck at this very step — "The video isn't coming out perfect", "I'm getting nervous in front of the camera", "Let me try one more time"... and then they never post! Remember — Done is better than perfect! The first video will be a little awkward — and that's TOTALLY NORMAL. Every creator's first video was awkward. By the 10th video you'll be a pro. Just start!
Before turning on the camera, stand in front of a mirror and say the script 2-3 times. Watch your expressions, practice your smile, try out hand gestures. When you feel comfortable — then turn the camera on!
A caption alongside the Reel is very important. Here's a ready-made template:
Namaste! 🙏

Hashtags (#) are super important! Instagram uses hashtags to recommend content to people. The more relevant your hashtags, the greater your reach.
• Maximum 30 hashtags allowed per post — but 15-20 is optimal
• Use a mix of big (#DigitalIndia — crores of posts) and small (#Wardha — thousands
of posts) hashtags
• Don't use irrelevant hashtags — #love #beautiful #cute won't help
• Put hashtags in the caption itself, not in a comment (Instagram's algorithm has changed)
Posting time matters on Instagram. If you post at 3 AM, nobody's going to see it! But if you post at the right time, engagement goes up.
| Time Slot | Rating | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Morning 7:00 - 9:00 AM | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | People wake up and check their phones |
| Afternoon 12:00 - 1:00 PM | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Lunch break — the most active time! |
| Evening 5:00 - 7:00 PM | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | After work, relaxation time — peak hours |
| Night 9:00 - 10:00 PM | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Before-bed scrolling — good engagement |
| Night 11:00 PM - Morning 6:00 AM | ⭐ | Most people are sleeping — avoid! |
| Sunday | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Day off — everyone's on their phone! Best day for reels |
Go to your Creator Account's Insights (Profile → Insights → Audience → Most Active Times). You'll find exact data on which day and time your followers are most active. Follow that data!
After posting the Reel, there's one more important step — share it to your Story! Why? Because a lot of followers watch Stories more than posts. Sharing to Story means more people will know you posted a new reel.
Add the Introduction Reel's Story to the "👋 About Me" Highlight! This way, whenever a new visitor comes and checks the "About Me" highlight — they'll see your introduction. Permanent visibility!
Your job isn't done after posting the Reel! Here's what to do after:
"Friends, I've started my Instagram page! 🎬 I'll be promoting dukaanein and businesses from our area digitally. Please like, comment, and share my first reel — it'll really help! 🙏 Link: [reel ka link]"
This is your most important activity. Follow these steps:
The first reel is the hardest — you'll feel nervous, it'll feel awkward, you'll do 10 retakes. But this is all NORMAL! Every big creator was once a beginner. By your 10th reel, you'll laugh at yourself thinking "I was so nervous in the first one!" Just start — everything else comes with time.

Less than 4: 🔄 Read the module again — slowly, step by step!
Just reading won't cut it — you need to actually do it! Complete these homework tasks and share screenshots in the WhatsApp group:
These homework tasks are essential — don't start Module 3 without completing them. Progress in the Setu Star program only happens when you actually do the work, not just by reading! If you run into any problems, ask in the WhatsApp group — the team will help.
Make your first Shop Spotlight Story — visit a dukaan in your area, talk to the dukaan owner, take 2-3 photos/videos, make a Story, and add it to the "🏪 Shops" Highlight. This is preparation for Module 3!

Some common problems can pop up while setting up Instagram. Solutions are given below — check here first, and if it still isn't solved, ask in the group.
The username must be unique — if someone already has it, you'll need to try another. Add your area name, numbers, or dots after your name. For example, if @raju_wardha is taken, try @raju.wardha.star or @raju_karyosetu_wardha.
Wait 1-2 minutes — sometimes there's a delay. If it doesn't come in 5 minutes, tap the "Resend OTP" button. Check if your phone number is correct — +91 followed by 10 digits. If DND (Do Not Disturb) is active, SMS might be getting blocked — turn off DND from your Jio/Airtel app.
Update the Instagram app (Play Store → Instagram → Update). Restart your phone. Then try again. If the "Switch to Professional Account" option isn't visible, go to Settings → Account → Account Type → Switch to Professional Account. For new accounts, sometimes you need to wait 24-48 hours.
Write your bio in the Notes app (or Google Keep) with line breaks. Then copy the entire text and paste it into Instagram's bio. The line breaks will be preserved. If that still doesn't work — before starting a new line in the bio, paste an invisible character (⠀) after pressing Enter — that's a trick!
The Collab feature might not be available on very new accounts or old Instagram versions. Solutions: 1) Update the Instagram app. 2) Your account should be at least 2-3 days old. 3) After tapping "Tag People", look for the "Invite Collaborator" tab at the top — sometimes you need to scroll.
1) Clean the camera lens (wipe with a cloth — fingerprints cause blurriness)! 2) Good lighting is essential — face the window. 3) Use your phone's default camera app instead of the Instagram camera — quality is better. Record with the phone camera, then import from gallery into Instagram. 4) Set the quality to "High" in camera settings.
Go to Settings → Storage → Apps → clear cache of apps that take up lots of space. Delete unused apps. Back up old photos/videos to Google Photos (free!) and delete from phone. The WhatsApp media folder also takes up a lot of space — clean that up.
Totally normal! Tips: 1) Practice alone first — in front of a mirror. 2) Don't memorize the script, just remember the points. 3) Imagine you're talking to a friend. 4) Take 3-5 takes — each one will be better. 5) Remember: EVERYONE's first video is awkward — that's normal! 6) Show the video to a friend for feedback before making it public.
Instagram and the digital world use a lot of English and technical terms. If you don't understand a word, look it up here:
| Word | What It Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Reel | Short video (15-90 seconds) | Shop Spotlight Reel, Tutorial Reel |
| Story | A photo/video that lasts 24 hours | Daily updates, quick shares |
| Highlight | Stories that are permanently saved | 🏪 Shops, 📱 Tutorials |
| Bio | Short introduction text on your profile | "Your gaon's digital friend" |
| Username | Your unique @handle | @raju_karyosetu_wardha |
| Display Name | The name visible on your profile | "Raju | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ Wardha" |
| Collab | Two accounts making a joint post | You + @karyosetu collab |
| DM | Direct Message — private chat | "DM me — happy to help" |
| CTA | Call to Action — telling people "Do this!" | "Follow me!", "Check the link!" |
| Hashtag (#) | Search tag — categorizes content | #KaryoSetuStar, #DigitalGaon |
| Algorithm | Instagram's system that decides which post to show to whom | More engagement = more reach |
| Engagement | Likes + Comments + Shares + Saves | High engagement = popular post |
| Reach | How many unique people saw your post | "Reach 500 = 500 people saw it" |
| Insights | Analytics/Data — who saw, when they saw | Available in Creator Account |
| OTP | One Time Password — verification code | 6 digit code that comes via SMS |
| 2FA | Two-Factor Authentication — extra security | Asks for OTP on login |
| Archive | Old stories/posts are saved here | Story Archive ON = access old stories |
| Thumbnail | Cover photo of a video (preview image) | Pick a smiling frame for your Reel thumbnail |
| Caption | Text written below a post | Description + Hashtags |
| Tag | Mentioning/linking someone in a post | "@karyosetu tagged in this post" |
