Part A — Create Your Account

First things first — download Instagram and create your account

Chapter 01

📱 Create Your Instagram Account

Alright friends, let's start by understanding what Instagram actually is, why it matters, and how to download it and create your account. If you've never used Instagram before — no worries at all! We'll explain everything from scratch, completely step-by-step.

1.1 What is Instagram?

Instagram is an app where you can post photos and videos — and the whole world can see them. You know how you put up a WhatsApp status? Instagram is just like that, except way more people can see it — not just your contacts, but literally anyone!

Think of it as WhatsApp status + YouTube combined = Instagram! Post photos, make short videos (called "Reels"), put up stories — all in one single app.

Right now, over 30 crore people in India use Instagram. People from your gaon are slowly coming on Instagram too. And once you become a Setu Star, you'll use this app to promote shops and businesses in your area — so this app is your biggest weapon!

💡 Pro Tip

Instagram is completely FREE. There's zero cost — no charge to download, no charge to create an account, no charge to post. Everything is free!

What can you do on Instagram?

🌾 Example — Think of it this way

Say you're from Wardha. You post a nice photo of "Sharma Kirana Store" on Instagram. In the caption you write "Wardha's oldest kirana dukaan!" and add the hashtag #Wardha #KaryoSetuStar. Now anyone in Wardha who searches #Wardha on Instagram can see this photo! That's exactly how you'll make your area digital.

1.2 Download Instagram (from Play Store)

Now let's download Instagram. It's super easy. If your phone already has Instagram, skip this and move ahead. But if it doesn't, follow these steps:

Step-by-Step Download:

  1. Open Play Store — there's a colorful triangle-shaped icon on your phone that says "Play Store". Tap on it.
  2. Tap the search bar — at the very top you'll see a bar that says "Search for apps & games". Tap on it.
  3. Type "Instagram" — the keyboard will pop up, type i-n-s-t-a-g-r-a-m. As you type, suggestions will appear below.
  4. Tap the first result — it'll say "Instagram" with the company name "Meta Platforms, Inc." shown below. That's the correct app.
  5. Press the "Install" button — you'll see a green "Install" button. Tap it. The download will start.
  6. Wait — depending on your phone's internet speed, it might take 1-5 minutes. You'll see a progress bar filling up.
  7. Press "Open" — once the download is complete, "Install" will change to "Open". Tap it. Instagram will launch!
⚠️ Watch Out!

Download the right app! There are lots of fake apps on Play Store with names like "Insta" or "InstaGram Pro". Only download the app that shows the company name "Meta Platforms, Inc." Everything else is fake — they could steal your data!

💡 Running Low on Storage?

The Instagram app is about 200-250 MB. If your phone is running low on space, first delete some old photos or unused apps. Go to Settings → Storage to check how much space you have left.

1.3 Create Your Account (Sign Up)

Once Instagram is downloaded, the first time you open the app you'll get a sign up option. Let's do it step-by-step:

Create Account with Phone Number (Recommended):

  1. Open Instagram app — tap the colorful camera-like icon.
  2. Tap "Create New Account" — you'll see this option at the bottom. If you see "Log In" as well, ignore that — tap "Create New Account" or "Sign Up".
  3. Enter your phone number — type your mobile number. India's country code (+91) will already be selected. Just enter your 10 digit number.
  4. Press "Next" — Instagram will send an OTP (6 digit code) to your number via SMS.
  5. Enter the OTP — you'll get an SMS with a 6 digit code. Type that code here. Sometimes the phone auto-detects it.
  6. Enter your Full Name — write your real name. You can type anything for now, we'll change it to the proper format later (we'll cover that in Chapter 2).
  7. Create a Password — make a strong password. At least 8 characters — mix letters + numbers + special characters (like @, #, !).
  8. Press "Next" — keep pressing "Next" after each step.
  9. Enter your Birthday — select your date of birth. This stays private, nobody can see it. But Instagram needs to verify you're older than 13.
  10. Choose a Username — this is a very important step! The entire next section is about this.
💡 You Can Also Sign Up with Email

If you have a Gmail account, you'll also get a "Sign up with Email" option. Enter your email instead of phone number — the rest of the steps are the same. But signing up with phone number is easier because the OTP comes instantly.

1.4 How to Choose Your Username

Your username is your "address" on Instagram — like @raju_wardha_star. When someone searches for you or tags you, this username is what gets used. So pick it wisely!

Username Rules:

Username Format for Setu Stars:

We recommend including your name, area, and "karyosetu" or "star" in your username. This makes it easy for people to find you.

✅ Good Username Examples
  • @raju_karyosetu_wardha — name + brand + area
  • @priya_star_nagpur — name + star + area
  • @suresh.setu.amravati — uses dots, looks clean
  • @karyosetu_ravi_yavatmal — brand first, then name, then area
  • @digital_raju_wardha — "digital" tells people you work in the digital field
❌ Don't Use Usernames Like These
  • @raju12345 — boring, tells nothing about you
  • @king_raju_boss — unprofessional, this is a business account
  • @xXraju_coolXx — gaming-style, doesn't look professional
  • @raju — too common, will already be taken
  • @_______raju_______ — too many underscores, looks ugly
✏️ Activity — Create Your Username

Right now, think of 3 username options for yourself. Write them down (on paper or in your phone's notes):

  1. Option 1: _______________________________
  2. Option 2: _______________________________
  3. Option 3: _______________________________

Check on Instagram which one is available. If all three are taken, try adding numbers or dots.

1.5 Switch to a Creator Account

Super important step! Instagram has 3 types of accounts: Personal, Business, and Creator. You need to switch to a Creator Account. It's free and gives you a bunch of extra features.

Why Creator Account?

Feature Personal Account Creator Account ⭐
Analytics (how many people saw your content) ❌ Not available ✅ Full data available
Contact Button ❌ No ✅ Email/Phone button
Category shows on profile ❌ No ✅ "Digital Creator" will show
Insights (when are most people active) ❌ No ✅ Yes, full insights
Promoted Content tools ❌ No ✅ Yes
DM Inbox categories (Primary/General/Requests) ❌ No ✅ Yes — organized inbox
Collab features Limited ✅ Full access

Step-by-Step: Switch to Creator Account

  1. Go to your Profile — open Instagram, at the bottom right you'll see your small profile photo. Tap on it. Your profile will open.
  2. Tap the ☰ Menu button — on the profile screen, at the top right corner, you'll see three horizontal lines (☰). Tap them.
  3. Tap "Settings and privacy" — a menu will open. At the very top you'll see ⚙️ "Settings and privacy". Tap it.
  4. Find "Account type and tools" — scroll down a bit. You'll see "Account type and tools" or "For professionals" kind of option. Tap it.
  5. Tap "Switch to professional account" — you'll see this option. Tap it.
  6. Select "Creator" — two options will appear: "Creator" and "Business". Select "Creator".
  7. Choose a category — lots of categories will show up. In the search box, type "Digital Creator" and select it. If "Digital Creator" isn't available, select "Entrepreneur".
  8. Press "Done" / "Next" — a few more screens will pop up asking optional settings (like connecting a Facebook page). Skip all of them for now, you can do it later.
  9. Congratulations! 🎉 — your Creator Account is ready!
💡 Want to Change the Category Later?

No stress — you can change it anytime later. Go to Profile → Edit Profile → Category and change whenever you want. For now, "Digital Creator" is the best choice because it tells people exactly what you do.

✏️ Activity — Verify It

Open your profile and check:

  1. Can you see the category below your username? (like "Digital Creator")
  2. Is there an "Insights" button on your profile?
  3. Can you see "Contact Options" inside "Edit Profile"?

If all three are yes — awesome, your Creator Account is active! ✅

1.6 Account Security — Keep Your Account Safe

Account created — now secure it too. A lot of people get their accounts hacked because they don't follow basic security steps.

Essential Security Steps:

  1. Use a Strong Password — don't use useless passwords like "123456" or "password". At least 8 characters with a capital letter, small letter, number, and special character.
  2. Turn ON Two-Factor Authentication — go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication → turn on SMS. This way, whenever someone tries to login from a new device, an OTP will come to your phone.
  3. Check Login Activity — Settings → Security → Login Activity. This shows which devices your account is logged into. If you see any unknown device, remove it.
  4. Verify your Email — Settings → Account → Personal Information → Email. Add and verify your email so you can recover your account if you forget the password.
🔒 Very Important — Never Share Your Password!

No matter how close someone is — never tell anyone your Instagram password. If someone pretends to be "Instagram team" and asks for your password via DM — that's FRAUD! Instagram never asks for passwords in DMs.

🔑 Strong Password Examples

❌ Bad: raju123 — way too easy, anyone can guess it
❌ Bad: password — the most common password ever
✅ Good: Raju@Wardha_2026! — strong, and you'll remember it too
✅ Good: Setu$tar_99# — special characters included

Part B — Set Up Your Profile

Account created — now let's make it professional and attractive

Chapter 02

✨ Profile Setup — Name & Identity

Account created? Great! Now let's make it look professional. When someone visits your profile, the first thing they'll see is your Display Name. You need to set it up so that at a glance, people know — who you are, where you're from, and what you do.

2.1 Setu Star Naming Convention

Every Setu Star's display name should follow a standard format. This makes all Setu Star members look uniform — like a team! People immediately know this is a KaryoSetu Star Partner.

Official Format:

📌 Naming Format

[Your Name] | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ [Your Area]

This format conveys 3 things in a single line:

  1. [Your Name] — who you are (personal touch)
  2. KaryoSetu Star ⭐ — which program you're part of (brand identity)
  3. [Your Area] — where you're active (local identity)

Real Examples:

✅ This is How Your Name Should Look
  • Raju | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ Wardha
  • Priya | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ Nagpur Rural
  • Suresh | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ Amravati
  • Meena | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ Yavatmal
  • Vikram | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ Chandrapur
  • Sneha | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ Akola
  • Ramesh | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ Buldhana
  • Anita | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ Washim

Why is This Format Important?

Reason Explanation
Brand Recognition When anyone searches "KaryoSetu Star", all Setu Star members will show up. A powerful network forms!
Local Identity The area name helps local people identify you. "Oh hey, this person is from Wardha — let me follow!" — that's the kind of reaction you'll get.
Searchability Instagram's search algorithm indexes the display name too. Having your area name means you'll rank higher in local searches.
Trust Building Uniform naming shows professionalism. People think "this looks like a serious program" — and trust grows.
Team Spirit All Setu Star members look the same — like wearing the same jersey! Gives a real community feel.

2.2 How to Change Your Display Name

Whatever name you entered while creating the account, now change it to the proper format. Follow these steps:

  1. Open your Profile — on Instagram, tap your photo at the bottom right corner.
  2. Tap "Edit Profile" — below your profile photo you'll see an "Edit Profile" button. Tap it.
  3. Tap the "Name" field — you'll see a "Name" field with your old name in it. Tap it.
  4. Delete the old name — select all the text and delete it.
  5. Type the new name — type it in the format: [Your Name] | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ [Area]
  6. How to add the ⭐ emoji? — on your keyboard there'll be an emoji button (a 😊 kind of icon). Tap it, search for "star", and select ⭐ (yellow star). Not ✨ (sparkles) — you need ⭐ (star)!
  7. Tap "Done" / ✓ — saved!
⚠️ Name Change Limit!

Instagram only lets you change your name 2 times in 14 days. So get it right the first time! Don't make spelling mistakes. Type it somewhere else first to check, then copy-paste it.

2.3 Profile Name — Do's and Don'ts

✅ Do's — Do This ❌ Don'ts — Don't Do This
Use your real first name Don't use a fake name or nickname
Write "KaryoSetu Star" exactly like this Don't write "Karyo Setu" or "karyosetu star" (lowercase)
Always include the ⭐ emoji Don't use 💫 or 🌟 or ✨ — only ⭐
Properly capitalize the area name (Wardha, Nagpur) Don't write "wardha" (lowercase) or "WARDHA" (all caps)
Use the pipe symbol ( | ) for separation Don't use slash (/), dash (-), or comma (,)
Use a short area name (Wardha, Nagpur Rural) Don't write your full address ("Wardha, Maharashtra, India")
Keep the name concise — fits in 1 line Don't make it so long it wraps to 2 lines
📝 Copy-Paste Template

Replace with your name and area:

_______ | KaryoSetu Star ⭐ _______

✏️ Activity — Set Your Name Right Now!

Follow the steps above and change your display name right now. Then take a screenshot and send it to your Setu Star WhatsApp group so the team can verify! 📸

2.4 Profile Picture — Quick Preview

Along with the display name, a profile picture is also essential. We'll cover this in detail in Chapter 4, but for now just put up any clear photo where your face is visible. You can update it to the perfect photo after reading Chapter 4.

📝 Chapter 2 Checklist
  1. ☐ Set display name in proper format
  2. ☐ Double-checked spelling
  3. ☐ Added ⭐ emoji correctly
  4. ☐ Wrote area name properly
  5. ☐ Took screenshot and shared in group
Chapter 03

📝 Bio Template — Make a Killer First Impression!

Friends, the Instagram bio is that short piece of text on your profile, right below your name. It's your "introduction card" — just like a visiting card tells people who someone is and what they do. Except on Instagram, it's digital!

When a new person visits your profile, the first 3 things they look at are:

  1. Profile Photo — "What do they look like?"
  2. Display Name — "Who is this person?"
  3. Bio — "What do they do? Should I follow them?"

If the bio is empty or boring — people will leave without following you. But if the bio is interesting and informative — people will follow, send DMs, and engage with your content.

💡 First Impression = Last Impression!

Research says a visitor spends only 3-5 seconds on your profile deciding whether to follow or not. In those 3-5 seconds, the bio is what makes the call — so your bio needs to be strong!

3.1 What Should Your Bio Include?

A good Setu Star bio should have 4 things:

Element What to Write Why It Matters
Line 1 — What You Are A tagline like "Your gaon's digital friend" Instantly tells people your role
Line 2 — Brand + Area "KaryoSetu Star ⭐ [Area]" or "@karyosetu Partner" Brand recognition + local identity
Line 3 — CTA (Call to Action) "DM me", "Follow for tips", "Link below 👇" Tells people what to do next
Link KaryoSetu app download link (with referral code) Drives traffic to the app

Character Limit:

Instagram bio allows a maximum of 150 characters. That's very little! Every word counts — don't write unnecessary stuff. Use emojis because they communicate more in less space.

💡 How to Add Line Breaks?

To start a new line in your bio, just press "Enter" / "Return" directly in the Instagram app. If that doesn't work — write your bio in your phone's Notes app with line breaks, then copy the whole thing and paste it into Instagram's bio field. The line breaks will stay!

3.2 Ready-Made Bio Templates (Just Copy-Paste!)

Below are 5 complete bio templates. Pick any one, fill in your area name, and paste it. You can customize later!

3.3 How to Write / Change Your Bio (Step-by-Step)

  1. Open your Profile — Instagram → bottom right → tap your photo.
  2. Tap "Edit Profile"
  3. Tap the "Bio" field — below the "Bio" label you'll see an empty text area (or your old bio if you wrote one before).
  4. Paste your chosen template — copy one of the 5 templates above, replace [Area] and name, and paste it.
  5. Check line breaks — after pasting, make sure the lines are properly separated. If everything ended up on one line, try the Notes app method (explained in the tip above).
  6. Check character count — shouldn't exceed 150 characters. Instagram automatically tells you how many characters are left.
  7. Tap "Done" / ✓ — Saved!

3.4 Link in Bio — KaryoSetu Download Link

Below the bio there's a "Website" field where you can put one clickable link. This is where you'll put the KaryoSetu app download link — with your referral code!

How to Add the Link:

  1. Edit Profile → tap the "Website" field
  2. Paste your KaryoSetu referral link
  3. Save it
🔗 Link Format

Your referral link will look something like this:
https://karyosetu.com/download?ref=YOUR_CODE

If you don't know your referral code, open the KaryoSetu app → Profile → "Share App" / "Refer" section. Or ask your Team Leader.

💡 Need Multiple Links?

Instagram only allows 1 link in the bio. If you need multiple links (like WhatsApp + App Download + Google Map), you can use a free service like Linktree. But when starting out, just the KaryoSetu link is enough.

3.5 Character Count Tips

Use these tricks to fit within 150 characters:

  2. Replace [Area] with your area name

  4. Write it in the Notes app (with line breaks)
  5. Copy and paste into Instagram bio

Chapter 04

📸 Profile Photo — Your Identity

Listen, your profile photo is super important! It's that small round image that shows up everywhere — on your posts, comments, DMs, search results. People see your photo before they see your content. So it needs to look good and professional.

4.1 Why is the Profile Photo Important?

Think about it — you're scrolling Instagram and a post shows up. Above the post there's a tiny profile photo. If that photo is clear, has a smile, good lighting — you think "okay, this looks professional." But if it's blurry, dark, or a group photo where you can't tell who's who — you'll just ignore it.

That's exactly what other people think when they see your photo too!

3 Jobs of Your Profile Photo:

  1. Recognition — people recognize you again and again (same face, same photo)
  2. Trust — shows a real person, not a fake account
  3. Professionalism — looks like someone who does serious work, not a timepass account

4.2 What Makes a Good Profile Photo?

✅ Do's — Do This:

❌ Don'ts — Don't Do This:

⚠️ Don't Use a Fake Photo!

Don't put up a photo of an actor, cricketer, or anyone else as your profile pic. It's wrong and breaks trust. Use your real photo — you're perfect just the way you are!

4.3 Do's and Don'ts — Quick Reference Table

✅ Do's ❌ Don'ts
Solo photo (just you) Group photo
Clear face, close-up (chest-up) Full body / far-away photo
Smile 😊 Angry / serious face
Good lighting (natural light is best) Dark / backlit photo
Plain background Messy / cluttered background
Look at camera Looking away / side pose
Recent photo (last 2-3 months) A 5-year-old photo
Natural / minimal editing Heavy filters / dog ears
KaryoSetu branded cap/t-shirt (if you have one) Sunglasses / mask

4.4 KaryoSetu Branded Merchandise

If KaryoSetu gave you a branded cap, t-shirt, or badge — wear it in your profile photo! It looks extra professional and strengthens brand identity.

If you haven't received branded merchandise yet — no worries. Take a nice photo in your normal clothes. When you get the merchandise, update the photo then.

💡 Branded Photo Tip

If you take a photo wearing the KaryoSetu t-shirt, make sure the logo is front-facing and clearly visible. The purple KaryoSetu logo looks great on dark-colored clothes!

4.5 How to Take a Good Selfie with Your Phone

No need for an expensive camera — your phone camera is enough! Just follow these tips:

Step 1: Fix the Lighting

Lighting is the most important thing! Stand in front of a window where natural light (sunlight) is coming in from outside. Your face should face the window — so the light falls on your face.

🪟 Ring Light Alternative — Window Light!

YouTubers use ring lights — but you don't need to buy one! During the day (9-11 AM or 3-5 PM), just stand in front of a window — that's your natural ring light! Your face will be fully lit, no shadows, and the photo will look professional. Completely FREE!

Step 2: Clean Background

What's behind you matters too. Best option is a plain wall (white or light color). If you're outdoors, stand somewhere with a simple background — like an open field or in front of a plain wall.

Step 3: Camera Position

Step 4: Pose and Expression

Step 5: Take Multiple Photos!

Don't stop at one photo. Take 10-15 photos, then pick the best one. Even professional photographers do this — they take 100 photos and select the 1 best!

💡 Use the Timer

If selfies aren't coming out great — prop your phone up somewhere (use a book or bottle for support) and set the camera timer (3 sec or 10 sec). Set the timer → strike a pose → click! This looks more natural than a selfie.

4.6 Set / Change Your Profile Photo

  1. Open Profile — Instagram → bottom right → tap photo
  2. Tap "Edit Profile"
  3. Tap on the profile photo — tap the round photo image
  4. Select "New Profile Photo"
  5. Choose photo from Gallery — select the best photo you just took
  6. Crop it — get your face in the center, adjust the zoom
  7. Tap "Done" — saved!
⚠️ Crop It Right!

Instagram profile photos show in a circle shape. While cropping, make sure your face is in the center of the circle and nothing gets cut off — especially your forehead and chin.

✏️ Activity — Profile Photo Mission!
  1. Go near a window (natural light)
  2. Find a plain background
  3. Take 10-15 selfies (smiling, looking at camera)
  4. Pick the best one
  5. Set it as your Instagram profile photo
  6. Take before and after screenshots and share in the group
📝 Chapter 4 Checklist
  1. ☐ Took a clear solo photo (good lighting, plain background)
  2. ☐ Photo has a smile 😊
  3. ☐ It's a close-up (face clearly visible)
  4. ☐ Set it as Instagram profile photo
  5. ☐ Cropped correctly (face centered)

Part C — Make Your First Post

Profile is ready — now start creating content! Collab, Highlights, and your first Introduction Reel

Chapter 05

🤝 Collab Setup — Partner with @karyosetu

Alright friends, now let's talk about a really powerful feature — Instagram Collab! This feature is rocket fuel for your growth. Let's understand what it is and how to use it.

5.1 What is Instagram Collab?

Collab means "Collaboration" — working together. On Instagram, when you post a photo or reel, you can add another account as a collaborator. This means the post will appear on both profiles!

Imagine — you made an awesome Shop Spotlight reel. You added @karyosetu as a collaborator. @karyosetu accepted it. Now this reel shows on your profile and on @karyosetu's profile! All of @karyosetu's followers will see this reel too!

💥 Understand It in Numbers

Say you have 200 followers. @karyosetu has 10,000 followers. If you make a normal post, it reaches a maximum of 200 people. But if you make a collab post, it can potentially reach 10,200 people! Without spending a single rupee — that's the power of collab!

Collab vs Tag — What's the Difference?

Feature Tag (@mention) Collab (Collaborator) ⭐
Where does the post appear? Only on your profile On both profiles!
Likes/Comments shared? No Yes — shown combined
Does reach increase? A little A lot!
Does the collaborator need to accept? No (automatic) Yes — they need to accept the invite
Both names visible? Only in the tagged section In the post header — prominently!

5.2 Why Collab with @karyosetu?

KaryoSetu's official Instagram handle is @karyosetu. When you collab with them:

💡 Collab Isn't Needed on Every Post!

Don't send @karyosetu a collab invite on every single post. Only invite on quality content — like Shop Spotlights, Tutorial Reels, Area Features. Sending collab invites on random personal posts will likely get rejected.

5.3 How to Create a Collab Post — Step by Step

Let's walk through the entire process of creating a collab post right now. Follow carefully — every button, every tap:

Step 1: Create Your Post / Reel

First, create your normal post or reel — select a photo or record a video, edit it, add filters (if you want), add music (for reels) — do everything normally, just like you'd make any post.

Step 2: Get to the "New Post" Screen

After you've selected and edited your photo/video, you'll land on the "New Post" screen. This is where you can write a caption, add a location, and tag people.

Step 3: Tap "Tag People"

On the "New Post" screen, you'll see a "Tag People" option. Tap it.

Step 4: Tap "Invite Collaborator"

After the Tag People screen opens, you'll see two tabs at the top:

Step 5: Search for @karyosetu

In the search bar, type "karyosetu". In the results, the @karyosetu account will appear — the official KaryoSetu page, possibly with a blue tick or verified badge. Tap it.

Step 6: Confirm and Post

After selecting @karyosetu, tap "Done". You'll return to the "New Post" screen. Now write your caption, add hashtags, add location — and press the "Share" button!

Step 7: Wait for Acceptance

After you share the post, @karyosetu will get a notification — "You've been invited to collaborate." Until they accept, the post will only show on your profile. Once they accept, it'll appear on both profiles!

⏳ It May Take Some Time to Get Accepted

The @karyosetu team receives a lot of collab requests. It might take 1-2 days to get accepted. Be patient. If it hasn't been accepted after 3 days, let your Team Leader know.

5.4 When to Use Collab?

These content types are perfect for collab:

Content Type Collab Recommended? Reason
🏪 Shop Spotlight Reel ✅ Definitely! Brand-relevant content, promotes KaryoSetu
📱 App Tutorial ✅ Definitely! Grows app users, both sides benefit
🎬 Introduction Reel ✅ Yes! Builds your identity with a wider audience
💡 Business Tip ⚠️ Sometimes If the tip is KaryoSetu related, then yes

5.5 Increase Your Chances of Collab Acceptance

  3. Relevant hashtags — use hashtags like #KaryoSetuStar, #DigitalGaon
  4. On-brand content — shops, tutorials, tips — related to the KaryoSetu mission
  5. Clear audio — in reels, the voice should be clear
  6. Mention KaryoSetu — include a KaryoSetu mention in the caption or reel
📝 Collab Request Message (Optional — DM)

"Namaste @karyosetu team! I'm [Name], from [Area] — your Setu Star partner. I made a Shop Spotlight reel today and sent you a collab invite. Please review and accept it. 🙏 #KaryoSetuStar"

⭐ Highlights Setup — Save Your Stories Forever

Instagram Stories disappear after 24 hours — but if you add them to Highlights, they stay forever! Highlights appear as circular icons on your profile, right below your bio. When a new visitor checks your profile, Story Highlights are one of the first things they notice.

6.1 What are Highlights?

Highlights = "Pinned Stories" — meaning stories you've permanently saved. Just like how you pin important messages on WhatsApp, you can turn important Instagram stories into Highlights.

On your profile, they show up as round circles, each with a name and cover image. Tap on one and all the stories in that category play.

🔍 What Does It Look Like?

Below your bio on your profile, it'll look something like this:

[ 🏪 Shops ]   [ 📱 Tutorials ]   [ 💡 Tips ]   [ 👋 About Me ]

Each circle is a category. Tap it and all the stories in that category appear!

6.2 Why are Highlights Important?

6.3 Create These 4 Highlights as a Setu Star

Every Setu Star needs to create these 4 Highlights. These are standard — all Setu Star members should have the same 4 Highlights:

1. 🏪 Shops — Dukaan Stories

🏪 Highlight: Shops

Name: 🏪 Shops
What to put here: Every Shop Spotlight story you make — add them all here. Kirana store, kapde ki dukaan, chai stall, salon — every dukaan story goes in this highlight.
What visitors get: Tap "Shops" and see all the dukaanein in your area in one place. Like a digital directory!

2. 📱 Tutorials — Teach the App

📱 Highlight: Tutorials

Name: 📱 Tutorials
What to put here: All the stories that teach people how to use the KaryoSetu app. "How to download the app", "How to create a listing", "How to search" — add all these tutorial clips here.
What visitors get: If they want to learn the app, all tutorials are just one tap away!

3. 💡 Tips — Business Tips

💡 Highlight: Tips

Name: 💡 Tips
What to put here: Business tips, digital marketing tips, social media tips, pricing tips — any useful tip that helps dukaan owners or local businesses.
What visitors get: Practical knowledge — "this person shares useful stuff, let me follow!"

4. 👋 About Me — About Me

👋 Highlight: About Me

Name: 👋 About Me
What to put here: Your introduction — who you are, where you're from, what you do, how you became a Setu Star, what your area looks like. Stories with a personal touch.
What visitors get: They get to know you personally — trust builds!

6.4 How to Create a Highlight — Step by Step

To create a Highlight, you first need Stories (either current stories or old stories saved in your archive). There are two methods:

Method 1: Create Highlight from a Current Story

  1. Post a Story — any relevant story (like a shop visit)
  2. Open your Story — go to your profile and tap your story circle
  3. Tap the "Highlight" button — below the story you'll see a "Highlight" option (heart-like icon)
  4. Tap "New" — to create a new Highlight
  5. Type the name — like "🏪 Shops"
  6. Tap "Add" / "Done"
  7. Congratulations! Your first Highlight is created! 🎉

Method 2: Create Highlight from Profile (from Archive)

  1. Go to your Profile
  2. Tap the "+" button — below your bio, in the highlights section, you'll see a "+" or "New" circle
  3. Archived stories will appear — a gallery of your old stories will open
  4. Select stories — tap the stories you want in this highlight (you can select multiple)
  5. Tap "Next"
  6. Type the name and choose a cover
  7. Tap "Done" / "Add"
💡 Is Archive Turned ON?

Old stories will only appear if Story Archive is ON. Check: Settings → Privacy → Story → "Save Story to Archive" — it should be ON. If it's OFF, turn it ON. From now on, every story you post will be saved to the archive after 24 hours.

6.5 How to Make Highlight Covers

A Highlight cover is the small round image that shows in the highlight circle. Good covers make your profile look professional and organized.

Option 1: Solid Color Cover (Easy Method)

  1. Take a solid color photo with your phone camera (plain wall, plain paper)
  2. Post it as a Story
  3. Set that Story as the Highlight cover

Option 2: Make a Cover with Canva (Best Method)

  1. Download the Canva app (from Play Store, it's free)
  2. Search: "Instagram Highlight Cover" — templates will appear
  3. Choose a template — match it with purple or brand colors
  4. Add an icon — 🏪 shop icon, 📱 phone icon, 💡 bulb icon, 👋 wave icon
  5. Download it
  6. Post it as a Story → then set it as the Highlight cover
💡 How to Change a Cover

Long press the Highlight → "Edit Highlight" → "Edit Cover" → choose a new cover photo from gallery → Done! You can change it anytime.

Option 3: Emoji Only Cover (Simplest)

If you don't want to use Canva, here's a trick — open Instagram Story, make the background a solid color (tap Aa and fill with color), then put a big emoji in the center (like 🏪). Post this story and set it as the highlight cover. Simple, clean, effective!

6.6 Organize Content into Highlights

Over time you'll post lots of stories. Keep adding them to the right Highlights:

Story Type Highlight Category
Kirana store visit 🏪 Shops
Kapde ki dukaan review 🏪 Shops
"How to download the app" tutorial 📱 Tutorials
"How to create a listing" video 📱 Tutorials
"How to take good photos of your dukaan" tip 💡 Tips
"How to set pricing" tip 💡 Tips
Introduction: "Who am I" 👋 About Me
"What my area looks like" story 👋 About Me
Event coverage (mela, bazaar) 🏪 Shops (or create a new Highlight!)
💡 You Can Create More Highlights Too!

The 4 above are mandatory. But if you want, you can create more — like "🎪 Events", "🍕 Food", "📸 Behind the Scenes", "⭐ Reviews". Create as many as you like! But make sure you create these 4 first.

✏️ Activity — Create Your Highlights Now!
  1. Make 4 Stories (one about a shop, one tutorial, one tip, one introduction)
  2. Add all four to their respective Highlights
  3. Set covers (solid color + emoji method is the easiest)
  4. Check your profile — can you see 4 Highlights? Take a screenshot!
⚠️ Highlight Order Matters!

The most recently edited Highlight appears on the far left. Recommended order: About Me → Shops → Tutorials → Tips. "About Me" should show first so new visitors get to know you first.

📝 Chapter 6 Checklist
  1. ☐ Created "🏪 Shops" Highlight
  2. ☐ Created "📱 Tutorials" Highlight
  3. ☐ Created "💡 Tips" Highlight
  4. ☐ Created "👋 About Me" Highlight
  5. ☐ Set covers for all of them
  6. ☐ Story Archive is ON
  7. ☐ Took profile screenshot
Chapter 07

🎬 First Post — Create Your Introduction Reel!

Friends, this is the most exciting chapter! So far you've created the account, set up the profile, written the bio, added the photo, set up highlights — now it's time to make your first post! And your first post should be an Introduction Reel — where you tell the world who you are and what they'll find on your page!

7.1 Why is an Introduction Reel Important?

When someone visits your profile for the first time and looks at your posts section — the very first post they see should be your introduction. It tells people:

  1. Who you are — your name, area
  2. What you do — Setu Star, digital promotion
  3. Why they should follow you — what value they'll get
  4. What is KaryoSetu — a brief app intro
💡 Why a Reel? Why Not a Photo Post?

On Instagram, Reels get 10x more reach than regular photos. Instagram's algorithm pushes Reels much more. Your introduction should reach as many people as possible — so make a Reel, not a photo post!

7.2 Introduction Reel Script — What to Say

Now the most important part — what to say in the Reel. Below is the complete script. Read it, understand it, customize it for yourself, and film it!

🎬 Introduction Reel — Complete Script

"Namaste! I'm [Your Name], from [Your Area].

From today, I'll be showing you the best dukaanein, services, and tips from my area — all digital!

I'm a KaryoSetu Star Partner.

On my page you'll find:
— Dukaan reviews
— App tutorials
— And business tips

Follow me, hit the bell — and let's make our gaon digital!

Script Breakdown — Why Each Line?

"From today I'll be showing you..." Promise — what this page is about Keep it natural, like you're talking to a friend
"I'm a KaryoSetu Star Partner." Authority — brand association Say it with pride — this is an achievement!
"KaryoSetu is an app..." App Introduction — product pitch Use simple words, no jargon
"On my page you'll find..." Content Pillars — reason to follow 3 points — don't say too much
"Follow me, hit the bell..." CTA — Call to Action Say it with energy, exciting tone!
"Link in bio 👇" Conversion — drive app downloads Point downward (gesture)
🎯 Filled Example — Raju, Wardha

"Namaste! I'm Raju, from Wardha. From today I'll be showing you the best dukaanein, services, and tips from my area — all digital! I'm a KaryoSetu Star Partner. KaryoSetu is an app where you can buy and sell things from your area — completely free! On my page you'll find: dukaan reviews, app tutorials, and business tips. Follow me, hit the bell — and let's make our gaon digital! Link in bio!"

7.3 How to Film the Reel — Step by Step

Script is ready — now pick up that camera and film it! But first, read these filming tips:

Filming Tips:

📍 Choose Your Location

📸 Camera Setup

🎤 Audio Tips

🎭 Performance Tips

⚠️ Don't Wait for Perfection!

A lot of people get stuck at this very step — "The video isn't coming out perfect", "I'm getting nervous in front of the camera", "Let me try one more time"... and then they never post! Remember — Done is better than perfect! The first video will be a little awkward — and that's TOTALLY NORMAL. Every creator's first video was awkward. By the 10th video you'll be a pro. Just start!

🎬 Practice Script — In Front of a Mirror

Before turning on the camera, stand in front of a mirror and say the script 2-3 times. Watch your expressions, practice your smile, try out hand gestures. When you feel comfortable — then turn the camera on!

7.4 How to Post a Reel on Instagram

  1. Open Instagramtap the "+" button (center bottom)
  2. Select "REEL" — at the bottom you'll see options: POST, STORY, REEL. Tap "REEL".
  3. Press the record button — the big circle button. Press = start recording, press again = stop recording. Or select a pre-recorded video from your Gallery.
  4. Edit (optional) — add text, stickers, effects — whatever you want. Keep it simple for now, you'll learn editing later.
  5. Tap "Next"
  6. Choose a Cover Photo — the Reel's thumbnail. Select the frame where you look the best (the smiling moment).
  7. Write the Caption — template given below!
  8. Tag People → Invite Collaborator → @karyosetu (just like Chapter 5!)
  9. Add Hashtags (list given below)
  10. Tap "Share" / "Post" — that's it! 🎉

7.5 Caption Template

A caption alongside the Reel is very important. Here's a ready-made template:

📝 Caption Template — Introduction Reel

Namaste! 🙏

I'm [Name], from [Area] — and from today, I'm your very own digital dost! 📱

I'm a KaryoSetu Star Partner ⭐ On my page you'll find:

Namaste! 🙏

Follow ✅ Hit the bell 🔔 Share 🔄

#KaryoSetuStar #DigitalGaon #Wardha #LocalBusiness #GaonKiDukaan #DigitalIndia #SupportLocal #Maharashtra #ShopLocal #Vidarbha

7.6 Hashtag Strategy

Hashtags (#) are super important! Instagram uses hashtags to recommend content to people. The more relevant your hashtags, the greater your reach.

Mandatory Hashtags (use on every post):

Location Hashtags (based on your area):

Category Hashtags (based on content type):

💡 Hashtag Tips

• Maximum 30 hashtags allowed per post — but 15-20 is optimal
• Use a mix of big (#DigitalIndia — crores of posts) and small (#Wardha — thousands of posts) hashtags
• Don't use irrelevant hashtags — #love #beautiful #cute won't help
• Put hashtags in the caption itself, not in a comment (Instagram's algorithm has changed)

7.7 When to Post? Best Posting Times

Posting time matters on Instagram. If you post at 3 AM, nobody's going to see it! But if you post at the right time, engagement goes up.

Time Slot Rating Reason
Morning 7:00 - 9:00 AM ⭐⭐⭐⭐ People wake up and check their phones
Afternoon 12:00 - 1:00 PM ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lunch break — the most active time!
Evening 5:00 - 7:00 PM ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After work, relaxation time — peak hours
Night 9:00 - 10:00 PM ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Before-bed scrolling — good engagement
Night 11:00 PM - Morning 6:00 AM Most people are sleeping — avoid!
Sunday ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Day off — everyone's on their phone! Best day for reels
💡 Find Your Own Best Time!

Go to your Creator Account's Insights (Profile → Insights → Audience → Most Active Times). You'll find exact data on which day and time your followers are most active. Follow that data!

7.8 Share to Story After Posting

After posting the Reel, there's one more important step — share it to your Story! Why? Because a lot of followers watch Stories more than posts. Sharing to Story means more people will know you posted a new reel.

How to Share to Story:

  1. Open your posted reel
  2. Tap the Share button (paper plane icon ✈️)
  3. Tap "Add to Story" / "Add Reel to Your Story"
  4. Add text — write something like "New Reel! 🎬 Check it out!"
  5. Tap "Your Story" — posted!
💡 Story + Highlight Combo

Add the Introduction Reel's Story to the "👋 About Me" Highlight! This way, whenever a new visitor comes and checks the "About Me" highlight — they'll see your introduction. Permanent visibility!

7.9 After Posting — Engagement Tips

Your job isn't done after posting the Reel! Here's what to do after:

  1. Stay active for the first 30 minutes — after posting, stay on Instagram for 30 minutes. Reply immediately to anyone who comments. This signals to Instagram's algorithm that this is an "active" post.
  2. Share on WhatsApp — send the Reel link to your contacts, family groups, and friends. Request them to "please like, comment, and share!"
  3. Reply to every comment — reply to every comment, even if someone just wrote "nice". Replying increases engagement.
  4. Follow related accounts — follow local businesses, news pages, and community pages in your area. They'll notice and might follow back.
📝 WhatsApp Share Message Template

"Friends, I've started my Instagram page! 🎬 I'll be promoting dukaanein and businesses from our area digitally. Please like, comment, and share my first reel — it'll really help! 🙏 Link: [reel ka link]"

✏️ Activity — Introduction Reel Mission!

This is your most important activity. Follow these steps:

  1. Read the script and customize with your name/area
  2. Practice 3 times in front of a mirror
  3. Decide the location (dukaan/outdoor/home)
  4. Set up the camera (vertical, eye-level, stable)
  5. Record 3-5 takes (pick the best one)
  6. Post the Reel on Instagram (caption + hashtags + collab invite)
  7. Share to Story
  8. Add to "About Me" Highlight
  9. Share on WhatsApp
  10. Stay active for 30 minutes and reply to comments
💪 Motivation — This is the First Step!

The first reel is the hardest — you'll feel nervous, it'll feel awkward, you'll do 10 retakes. But this is all NORMAL! Every big creator was once a beginner. By your 10th reel, you'll laugh at yourself thinking "I was so nervous in the first one!" Just start — everything else comes with time.

Troubleshooting

❓ Common Problems & Solutions

Some common problems can pop up while setting up Instagram. Solutions are given below — check here first, and if it still isn't solved, ask in the group.

Problem 1: "Username already taken" is showing

💡 Solution

The username must be unique — if someone already has it, you'll need to try another. Add your area name, numbers, or dots after your name. For example, if @raju_wardha is taken, try @raju.wardha.star or @raju_karyosetu_wardha.

Problem 2: OTP isn't coming

💡 Solution

Wait 1-2 minutes — sometimes there's a delay. If it doesn't come in 5 minutes, tap the "Resend OTP" button. Check if your phone number is correct — +91 followed by 10 digits. If DND (Do Not Disturb) is active, SMS might be getting blocked — turn off DND from your Jio/Airtel app.

Problem 3: Can't switch to Creator Account

💡 Solution

Update the Instagram app (Play Store → Instagram → Update). Restart your phone. Then try again. If the "Switch to Professional Account" option isn't visible, go to Settings → Account → Account Type → Switch to Professional Account. For new accounts, sometimes you need to wait 24-48 hours.

Problem 4: Line breaks aren't showing in the bio

💡 Solution

Write your bio in the Notes app (or Google Keep) with line breaks. Then copy the entire text and paste it into Instagram's bio. The line breaks will be preserved. If that still doesn't work — before starting a new line in the bio, paste an invisible character (⠀) after pressing Enter — that's a trick!

Problem 5: How do I send a collab invite? Option isn't showing

💡 Solution

The Collab feature might not be available on very new accounts or old Instagram versions. Solutions: 1) Update the Instagram app. 2) Your account should be at least 2-3 days old. 3) After tapping "Tag People", look for the "Invite Collaborator" tab at the top — sometimes you need to scroll.

Problem 6: Camera quality is really bad

💡 Solution

1) Clean the camera lens (wipe with a cloth — fingerprints cause blurriness)! 2) Good lighting is essential — face the window. 3) Use your phone's default camera app instead of the Instagram camera — quality is better. Record with the phone camera, then import from gallery into Instagram. 4) Set the quality to "High" in camera settings.

Problem 7: Storage full — app won't install

💡 Solution

Go to Settings → Storage → Apps → clear cache of apps that take up lots of space. Delete unused apps. Back up old photos/videos to Google Photos (free!) and delete from phone. The WhatsApp media folder also takes up a lot of space — clean that up.

Problem 8: Getting nervous in front of the camera

💡 Solution

Totally normal! Tips: 1) Practice alone first — in front of a mirror. 2) Don't memorize the script, just remember the points. 3) Imagine you're talking to a friend. 4) Take 3-5 takes — each one will be better. 5) Remember: EVERYONE's first video is awkward — that's normal! 6) Show the video to a friend for feedback before making it public.
