📋 What's Inside This Module

Phase A — Build the Foundation

First get to know KaryoSetu, then understand what being a Setu Star really means

Chapter 1

📱 What is KaryoSetu

"Work for every hand, identity for every village" — this isn't just a tagline, it's a dream. And KaryoSetu is the app that's turning this dream into reality.

1.1 — KaryoSetu: At a Glance

Look, let's keep it simple — KaryoSetu is a digital marketplace. But it's not some fancy app made for city folks. This app was built specifically for people in villages and small towns — for those who have incredible skills but no platform to sell their stuff.

Think about it — there's a bhabhi in your village who makes amazing achaar. Some uncle who crafts beautiful wooden furniture. Some didi who does gorgeous hand embroidery. But where does their stuff sell? Just in their own village, or maybe the next village over. The outside world has no idea these amazing skills even exist.

KaryoSetu solves exactly this problem. It's a platform where anyone — whether you're a farmer, a shopkeeper, an artisan, or a daily-wage worker — can list their products or services and show them to people in their area.

💡 Remember This

KaryoSetu is not an online shopping site like Amazon or Flipkart. It's a hyperlocal C2C marketplace — meaning Customer-to-Customer. One person sells directly to another person, with no middleman taking a cut.

Voice-First Design

Here's the biggest thing — KaryoSetu is a voice-first app. What does that mean? It means that even if someone can't type, even if they're an elderly person whose hands shake, or someone who never learned to read and write — they can still use this app easily. Just speak, and the app understands!

You just say into your phone — "I want to sell my cow" — and the app automatically creates the listing. No typing, no filling out forms, just speak and it's done!

🌾 Real-Life Example

Ramlal Chacha — 58 years old, from a village near Varanasi. Chacha can't type at all. His son gave him a phone, and he can barely manage WhatsApp. But on KaryoSetu, Chacha created a listing for his buffalo just by speaking into the phone. Within 3 days, a buyer came from the neighbouring village. Chacha said — "This is so easy, it just happened by talking!"

1.2 — KaryoSetu's Mission

KaryoSetu's mission is pretty simple:

🎯 Setu Star Script — KaryoSetu Mission

"Friends, imagine if every skill in your village could be seen by the world! What if dadi's chutney became famous not just in the village, but across the whole district? That's exactly what KaryoSetu is doing — making every village's talent go digital. And I'm your Setu Star, the one who'll show you all of this on Instagram!"

1.3 — What "Hyperlocal C2C Marketplace" Actually Means

Let's break down these big English words and make them simple:

What is Hyperlocal?

Hyperlocal means — super local, very nearby. Like your village, your block, your tehsil. When you list something on KaryoSetu, it shows up for people around you — within a 5 km, 10 km, 25 km, or 50 km radius. That's why it's hyperlocal — it's your neighbourhood's marketplace.

What is C2C?

C2C means Customer to Customer. One regular person is selling to another regular person. No big company in the middle. It's you, your product, and the buyer — that's it, a straight deal.

What is a Marketplace?

Marketplace simply means a bazaar. You know how your village has a weekly haat, right? That's a physical marketplace. KaryoSetu is a digital marketplace — the bazaar is right in your phone!

🏪 Think of it This Way

Imagine your village has a haat every Wednesday. Everyone brings their stuff — some sell vegetables, some sell clothes, some sell utensils. But the haat happens only one day a week, and only people who can walk there can come. Now imagine — KaryoSetu is a haat that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it lives in your phone! Anytime, from anywhere, anyone can browse it.

1.4 — KaryoSetu's 13 Categories

KaryoSetu has 13 different categories. You can list something in every single one. Let's go through them one by one:

# Category Hindi Name What You Can List Who Would Use It
1 Agriculture Kheti-Kisaani Crops, seeds, fertilizer, farming tools, tractors Farmers, farm labourers
2 Livestock Pashudhan Cows, buffaloes, goats, chickens, fodder, medicines Animal keepers, dairy owners

💡 Content Creator Tip

When you create content for Instagram, think of these 13 categories as your gold mine of ideas. You can make 10-20 reels from each category! Just look around your village and see who does what.

1.5 — Who Uses KaryoSetu

KaryoSetu is for everyone — but it's been built especially for these people:

👨‍🌾 Farmers

Farmers can sell their crops, seeds, fertilizer, and farming equipment. No need to go all the way to the mandi — the work gets done right from your phone. A buyer from the next village contacts you directly.

🌾 Example: Maniram the Farmer

Maniram listed his wheat on KaryoSetu — "50 quintals of wheat for sale, Wardha district." Within 2 days, 3 buyers contacted him. Without any middleman, he got ₹2,350 per quintal directly, while the mandi was offering only ₹2,100. Maniram earned ₹12,500 extra!

🏪 Shopkeepers

Small shop owners can showcase their shop and products on KaryoSetu. People who can't physically reach the shop can see everything on their phone and place orders.

🏪 Example: Shakuntala General Store

Shakuntala Didi's general store sits on the highway outside the village. She listed her store on KaryoSetu — "Shakuntala General Store — kirana, stationery, mobile recharge." Now people from 3 villages call her to order stuff. Her monthly business went up by ₹15,000!

🎨 Artisans / Kaarigars

There are lakhs of artisans in our country who do incredible work — but their craft never leaves their village. KaryoSetu makes their work visible.

👩‍👩‍👧 SHG / Self-Help Groups

Women's self-help groups are packed with talent — papad, achaar, stitching, embroidery, candles, soap. List all of it on KaryoSetu and sell it across your block.

📚 Students

Students can list their old books, notes, and tuition services. Someone can teach coding, someone else can teach math.

👷 Daily Wage Workers / Mazdoor

If you're a mistri, plumber, or electrician — list your service on KaryoSetu. People nearby will find a worker, and you'll find work.

✏️ Activity: Survey Your Village

Grab a piece of paper right now and write down the names of 10 people in your village who could use KaryoSetu. Next to each name, write — what they could sell and which category it falls under.

  • Example: Ramesh Chacha — wants to sell a cow — Livestock
  • Example: Suman Didi — gives tuition — Education
  • Example: Vijay Bhai — electrician — Services

This list will become your source for content ideas later!

1.6 — How KaryoSetu Changes Lives

Let's look at a few more real-life scenarios to see how KaryoSetu actually helps people:

Scenario 1: The Struggle of Selling Crops

Problem: Ramu the farmer's tomato crop is ready, but the mandi is 30 km away. A tempo will cost ₹1,500. The commission agent at the mandi will take an 8% cut.

KaryoSetu Solution: Ramu created a voice listing on KaryoSetu — "200 kg tomatoes, fresh, 5 km from Wardha." The next day, 3 local shopkeepers contacted him. One shopkeeper came to the village himself and bought everything at ₹18/kg. No mandi trip, no middleman, no tempo expenses!

Scenario 2: An Artisan's Hidden Talent

Problem: Sunita Behen makes beautiful bamboo baskets and decorative items. People in the village pay her ₹50-100 for them. The same items sell for ₹500 in the city, but she has no way to get there.

KaryoSetu Solution: Sunita uploaded photos of her baskets. A gift shop owner from a nearby town placed an order — 50 baskets at ₹250 each. Sunita's income went up 5x!

Scenario 3: The Service Provider

Problem: Vikram Bhai is a great plumber, but he only gets work in his own village. The neighbouring villages don't even know he exists.

KaryoSetu Solution: Vikram created a listing — "Plumber — pipeline, boring, motor fitting." Now whenever anyone within a 5 km radius searches for a plumber, Vikram Bhai's name shows up. He started getting 8-10 extra jobs every month!

⚠️ Don't Get the Wrong Idea

Just putting up a listing on KaryoSetu doesn't mean things will sell automatically. It's a platform where people can see your stuff — but good photos, an accurate description, and a fair price are essential. And teaching people exactly this is your job as a Setu Star!

1.7 — KaryoSetu vs OLX vs Quikr — What's the Difference?

A lot of people ask — "Isn't this just like OLX or Quikr? What's new here?" Great question! Let's compare:

🎬 Reel Script — KaryoSetu vs OLX

"Bhai, you list something on OLX and some guy from Delhi calls — 'Ship it to me!' How do you ship from a village? But when you list on KaryoSetu, the guy from the next village comes and picks it up himself! That's the power of hyperlocal. Download KaryoSetu, link in bio! #KaryoSetu #GaonKaBazaar #VocalForLocal"

Chapter 2

⭐ Who is a Setu Star

Now that you understand KaryoSetu — what's your role in all of this? You are a Setu Star — your village's digital storyteller, your area's Instagram influencer!

2.1 — Setu Star: Your Village's Digital Storyteller

Let's put it simply — a Setu Star is someone who tells the world about KaryoSetu through Instagram content.

You are a content creator. Your job is to:

Think of yourself as your village's brand ambassador — but not the traditional kind who just sticks up posters. You're modern. You make reels, post stories, interact with people. You are your village's influencer!

💡 Remember This

"You are your village's influencer!" — always keep this in mind. You're not a Bollywood star. You don't need millions of followers. Your 500-5000 followers are more than enough — as long as they are real people from your area who actually listen to what you say.

You're a Content Creator, Not a Salesman!

This is really important — you are a content creator, not a salesman. Understand the difference:

See the difference? A salesman pushes directly. A content creator tells a story — and the product naturally comes into the story. You'll learn this skill in detail in Modules 2 and 3.

🎬 Intro Reel Script

"Namaste friends! I'm [your name], and I'm the Setu Star of [your village name]! I'll show you the stories of my village, the talented people here, and an amazing app called KaryoSetu. Follow me — let's explore the digital side of village life together! ⭐ #SetuStar #KaryoSetu #GaonKiKahani"

2.2 — Setu Star vs Setu Saathi — What's the Difference?

A lot of people get confused — "Are Setu Saathi and Setu Star the same thing?" Nope! They are completely different roles. Let's understand in detail:

Who is a Setu Saathi?

A Setu Saathi is someone who directly helps people use the app. Like — helping an aunty download the app on her phone, creating a listing for her, teaching her how to add photos. A Setu Saathi is on-ground support — they physically go to people in the village and sit with them.

Who is a Setu Star?

A Setu Star is someone who creates content on Instagram to spread awareness about KaryoSetu. A Setu Star makes reels, posts stories, and inspires people to download the app. A Setu Star is the digital presence.

Parameter Setu Saathi 🤝 Setu Star ⭐
Primary Role Teaching people how to use the app Creating Instagram content to spread awareness
Where You Work In the village — door-to-door, at the haat, at the chaupal On Instagram — reels, stories, posts
Main Skill Teaching, patience, communication Content creation, storytelling, camera confidence
Tools Phone + KaryoSetu app + patience Phone + Camera + Instagram + editing apps
Audience Individual users (1-on-1) Instagram followers (1-to-many)
Earning Source Per-user onboarding commission Referral code + content bonuses
Ideal For Patient people who like helping others Creative people who like making videos
Reach 1 village, 50-100 people/month Instagram reach: 1,000-50,000+ people/month
Growth Path Saathi → Senior Saathi → Saathi Lead Star → Silver Star → Gold Star → Diamond Star
🤔 Easy Way to Remember

Setu Saathi = Teacher — teaches people one by one.
Setu Star = Influencer — inspires thousands at once.

Both are important. Without the teacher, students won't learn anything. Without the influencer, students won't even know the school exists. Together, they make KaryoSetu bigger!

⚠️ Important Clarification

One person can do both roles — be a Saathi and a Star. But each role needs different skills and has different targets. If you want to do both, that's awesome! But get good at one first, then start the other.

2.3 — What Makes a Good Setu Star

Now the question is — anyone can become a Setu Star, but what makes a good one? Let's see:

1. Creativity

You need to show things in a unique way. Think different. Like — everyone posts a photo of a shop, but you show the behind-the-scenes — how the goods arrive, how they're arranged, how customers come in. That's creativity!

2. Confidence

You shouldn't feel shy speaking in front of the camera. Everyone feels nervous at first — that's totally normal. But it goes away with practice. Make 10 reels, and by the 11th you'll look like a pro!

3. Village Connection

You need to love your village. You need to know the people — who does what, whose craft is special, what sells where. This knowledge is what will fuel your content.

4. Smartphone with Camera

You need a phone with a decent camera. No iPhone needed! A phone in the ₹8,000-10,000 range works just fine as long as the camera is decent and there's enough storage.

5. Internet Connection

You need internet to upload reels on Instagram. Mobile data (4G/5G) works just fine. WiFi is even better if you have it.

6. Consistency

Success on Instagram doesn't come in a day. You need to post content regularly. At least 2-3 reels per week are a must. The star who stays consistent is the one who grows.

💡 Golden Rule

"Done is better than perfect!" — Your first reel won't be perfect, maybe not the second one either. But by your 20th reel, you'll look amazing to everyone. Just start, and you'll keep improving!

✏️ Self-Assessment Activity

Rate yourself from 1 to 5 on each of these qualities (1 = low, 5 = very high):

  • Creativity: ___ / 5
  • Camera Confidence: ___ / 5
  • Village Connection: ___ / 5
  • Phone/Tech Knowledge: ___ / 5
  • Consistency/Discipline: ___ / 5
  • Communication Skills: ___ / 5

Work harder on the quality where you scored low. And the one where you scored high — that's your strength, make full use of it!

2.4 — What Kind of Content Does a Setu Star Create

A Setu Star creates many types of content. You'll learn all of these in detail in Modules 2 and 3, but here's an overview:

Content Type What It Is Example
Shop Spotlight Featuring a local shop or business "Today we meet Ramu Halwai — been making jalebi for 30 years!"
App Tutorial Teaching a KaryoSetu app feature "Create a listing in 5 seconds — just by speaking!"
Business Tips Tips for small businesses "Take shop photos that actually attract customers!"
Success Stories Stories of people whose lives changed with KaryoSetu "This didi started earning ₹15,000/month from achaar!"
Village Life Showing village life, markets, festivals "Our village haat — look at the colours, look at the talent!"
📱 Pro Tip: Reels vs Stories

Reels have a long life — they show up on the explore page and bring in new followers. This is your main content.

Stories disappear after 24 hours — but they're great for boosting engagement with existing followers. Daily updates, behind-the-scenes, polls — put all of that in stories.

2.5 — A Day in the Life of a Setu Star

Let's see what a typical day looks like for an active Setu Star:

Morning (8:00 - 10:00 AM)

Afternoon (12:00 - 2:00 PM)

Evening (5:00 - 7:00 PM)

Night (9:00 - 10:00 PM)

💡 Time Management Tip

You don't need to spend the whole day on Instagram! Just 2-3 hours daily is enough — shooting (1 hour) + editing (30-45 min) + engagement (30 min). The rest of the time, do your own thing — study, farm, work — whatever you do. Being a Setu Star is a side hustle, not a full-time job (at least in the beginning)!

✏️ Activity: Create Your Daily Schedule

Look at the schedule above and create your own daily schedule. Fit it around your normal routine (job, studies, farming, or whatever). Write down:

  • What time will you check Instagram in the morning?
  • What time will you do field work?
  • What time will you edit?
  • What time will you post?

Phase B — Understand the System

Where you are, where you can go, and how you'll earn — it's all here

Chapter 3

🏆 The 4-Tier System

The Setu Star program has 4 levels — each level comes with more rewards, more recognition, and more opportunities. It's a ladder — the higher you climb, the more you earn and the more well-known you become.

3.1 — The Four Tiers: At a Glance

The Setu Star program has 4 tiers:

  1. ⭐ Star — The beginning, your first step
  2. 🥈 Silver Star — Consistent performer, growing creator
  3. 🥇 Gold Star — Established creator, community leader
  4. 💎 Diamond Star — Top performer, professional creator, team lead

Each tier has its own requirements and its own rewards. Let's look at them in detail:

3.2 — Tier Requirements (Full Table)

Parameter ⭐ Star 🥈 Silver Star 🥇 Gold Star 💎 Diamond Star
Min Referrals (via code) 10 50 200 500
Min Reels/Month 8 12 16 20
Min Followers 100 500 2,000 5,000

Commission Rate Base (1x) 1.5x 2x 3x
Rewards Base commission 1.5x commission + merch kit 2x commission + events + feature 3x commission + salary + travel + team lead
💡 These Numbers Aren't Scary!

10 referrals in the first month — that's not even 1 referral per day. There are at least 50-100 people in your village who use smartphones. If you make 1 good reel every day and share your code, 10 referrals is super easy!

3.3 — Each Tier in Detail

⭐ Tier 1: Star (Setu Star)

This is your starting point — the first step. When you join the Setu Star program, you become a Star.

Requirements:

What You Get:

🌟 Star Level Example

Priya (Nagpur) — college student, made 8 reels in the first month, brought in 14 referrals. Instagram followers reached 150. Monthly earning: ₹700 (14 × ₹50). Priya said — "₹700 might seem less, but this is just the start! Next month, I'm going for Silver Star!"

🥈 Tier 2: Silver Star

When you perform consistently for 3 months, you become a Silver Star. This is the stage where people start taking you seriously.

Requirements:

What You Get:

💡 Silver Star Hack

Don't panic at 500 followers! If you regularly post good content, use local hashtags, and follow people from your village — 500 followers in 3 months is a very realistic target. Grow just 5-6 followers per day, 3 months = ~500!

🥇 Tier 3: Gold Star

Gold Star — now you're an established creator. Your content regularly pulls in views, people are following you, and you're well-known in your area.

Requirements:

What You Get:

🏅 Gold Star Example

Vikas (Wardha) — 220 referrals in 6 months, 2,400 followers, 97 reels published. Total earnings so far: ₹25,000+. KaryoSetu shared his reel on their official page — his views skyrocketed. Vikas is now known in his district as "that KaryoSetu guy!"

💎 Tier 4: Diamond Star

Diamond Star — this is the top of the game. These are the people who've become professional-level content creators and are creating serious impact for KaryoSetu.

Requirements:

What You Get:

⚠️ Reality Check

Becoming a Diamond Star isn't easy — 12 months of consistent effort, 500 referrals, 5,000 followers — all of that takes time and dedication. But it's also not impossible! There are plenty of village influencers across India with 10,000-50,000 followers. You can be one too — just stay consistent!

3.4 — How to Move Up a Tier: Step by Step

Tier upgrades don't happen automatically — you need to apply. Here's the process:

  1. Check — Do you meet all the requirements for the next tier? (referrals, reels, followers, duration)
  2. Apply — Apply for a tier upgrade in the KaryoSetu app or through the WhatsApp support group
  3. Review — The KaryoSetu team reviews your profile and content quality (3-5 days)
  4. Approval — If everything checks out, your tier gets upgraded!
  5. Celebrate — Tell your followers! Make a "I just became a Silver Star!" reel!
💡 Pro Tip: Quality > Quantity

Tier upgrades aren't based on numbers alone — content quality matters a lot too. 12 high-quality reels are better than 16 low-quality ones. The KaryoSetu team looks at overall content quality, engagement rate, and community impact.

3.5 — Benefits Comparison: Tier-by-Tier

Chapter 4

💰 The Earning Model

Now let's get to the most important part — how will you actually earn money? Let's understand the entire earning system, rupee by rupee.

4.1 — Referral-Based Earning: Your Main Income Source

A Setu Star's primary earning comes from referrals. It's really simple:

  1. You get a unique referral code
  2. You share that code in your Instagram content
  3. Someone uses your code to download KaryoSetu
  4. That person creates their first listing on the app
  5. Once the listing is created — you get paid!
⚠️ Important: Download Alone Isn't Enough!

Pay attention — you do not get paid just because someone downloaded the app. You only get credited when that person creates their first listing. That's when your referral counts and your payment gets processed. This is why your content needs to inspire people not just to download, but to actually use the app!

4.2 — Your Referral Code

When you join the Setu Star program, you get a unique referral code. This code is your digital identity — it tracks how many people came to the app because of you.

Code Format

Your code will look something like this:

This code is unique — nobody else in the world will have the same code!

Where to Share Your Code

Where How Example
Instagram Bio Write the code in your bio "📱 Download KaryoSetu — Code: STAR-RAJU-WRD"
Reel Captions Include in every reel caption "Download KaryoSetu app & use code STAR-RAJU-WRD! Link in bio 🔗"
Reel Video (Text Overlay) Show it as text in the video Code appears on screen at the end of the reel
Verbally in Reel Say it out loud "Friends, download KaryoSetu right now and enter my code — STAR RAJU WRD!"
Instagram Stories Story with link + code Story sticker with code
WhatsApp Status Share on your status Image/video with code
WhatsApp Groups Share in village/local groups "Your village's digital bazaar — code: STAR-RAJU-WRD"
💡 Smart Code Sharing

Don't be spammy when sharing your code! Don't say "download download download" every 2 minutes. Instead, create great content — content so good that people ask on their own "Where can I download this app?" That's when you say — "Link's in the bio, use my code!"

4.3 — Earning Math: How Much Will You Make?

Now let's look at concrete numbers — how much you can actually earn:

By the time you reach Diamond Star, you'll have earned at least ₹44,900 — just from referral commissions alone! Content bonuses and salary are extra!

4.5 — Bonus Earnings: Extra Income Opportunities

Beyond referral commissions, there are more ways to earn:

1. Content Bonus — Viral Reels

If one of your reels goes viral (10,000+ views), you get an extra bonus:

2. Monthly Top Performer Bonus

Every month, the top 3 performers get an extra bonus:

Top performers are chosen based on a combination of referrals + content quality + engagement rate.

3. Festival Bonuses

During festivals (Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas, Navratri), special campaigns run with bonus referral rates — usually 2x the normal rate!

4. Collaboration Bonuses

If you create collaboration content with a local business and that business gets listed on KaryoSetu, you get an extra ₹100 bonus per business listing!

💡 Maximize Your Earnings

Best strategy — include your referral code in every reel (both in the video and the caption), put in extra effort during festival seasons (2x rates!), and create quality content so you can earn viral bonuses. One viral reel = the impact of 50 normal reels!

4.6 — How You Get Paid

Payment Method: UPI Direct Transfer

Your earnings go straight into your UPI account. No cheques, no trips to the bank, no waiting!

Payment Schedule: Weekly Payouts

KaryoSetu pays out every week — usually on Monday:

Payment Process:

  1. Someone uses your referral code → Downloads + creates first listing
  2. The system automatically verifies the referral (24-48 hours)
  3. The verified referral shows up in your dashboard
  4. Payment gets processed in the weekly payout cycle
  5. Money is transferred to your UPI account
  6. You get a notification — "₹XX credited to your UPI!"
💵 Payment Example

Raju's Week:

Monday: 2 referrals ✅

Wednesday: 1 referral ✅

Friday: 3 referrals ✅

Sunday: 1 referral ✅

Total: 7 referrals × ₹50 = ₹350

Payment processed next Monday → ₹350 in UPI by Tuesday!

⚠️ Payment Rules

• Minimum payout is ₹100 — if you earned less than ₹100 in a week, it carries over to the next week
• Fake referrals (like creating multiple accounts yourself) get detected and your account can be banned — never ever do this!
• Payment is only for verified referrals — verified means download + first listing completed

4.7 — Full Earning Calculation: Seema's Story

Let's walk through a complete calculation example:

📊 Case Study: Seema (Silver Star, Amravati)

Profile: Seema, 22 years old, college student, 600 Instagram followers

Month: April 2026

Week 1:

  • 3 reels posted — Shop Spotlight (bakery), Tutorial (voice listing), Village market
  • Referrals: 6 (₹60 × 6 = ₹360)

Week 2:

  • 3 reels posted — Business tips, Success story (tailor), App feature
  • Referrals: 8 (₹60 × 8 = ₹480)
  • 1 reel got 12,000 views → Viral bonus ₹200

Week 3:

  • 3 reels posted — Dukan feature, Festival special, How-to guide
  • Referrals: 5 (₹60 × 5 = ₹300)

Week 4:

  • 3 reels posted — Street vendor, Agricultural tool, Referral code special
  • Referrals: 7 (₹60 × 7 = ₹420)

Monthly Total:

  • Referral earnings: ₹360 + ₹480 + ₹300 + ₹420 = ₹1,560
  • Viral reel bonus: ₹200
  • 2nd place monthly performer bonus: ₹1,000
  • Grand Total: ₹2,760

12 reels, 26 referrals, ₹2,760 income — not bad for a college student spending 2-3 hours daily!

✏️ Activity: Calculate Your Earnings

Work out the math for yourself:

  • I can make ___ reels per week
  • I have/will have ___ followers in the first month
  • Realistically, I can bring in ___ referrals per week
  • My monthly earning will be: ___ referrals × ₹50 = ₹____
  • In 6 months (at Silver Star), my monthly earning will be: ___ referrals × ₹60 = ₹____

Write these numbers down and check every month — are you hitting your targets or not!

Phase C — Take Action

You've got the knowledge — now go do it! Create content, run your Instagram, become your village's star

Chapter 5

🎬 Content Pillars

Now you know what a Setu Star is, how the tier system works, and how you'll earn. But the most important question — What content will you actually create? What will you post on Instagram that people like, that grows your followers, and that brings in referrals?

For this, we've created 5 Content Pillars — these are the 5 types of content every Setu Star should create. Think of them as the foundation of your content strategy.

5.1 — The 5 Content Pillars: Overview

# Pillar Name In Simple Terms Content Mix Main Purpose
1 Shop Spotlight Feature a local shop 40% Showcase local businesses
2 App Tutorial Teach the app 25% Show KaryoSetu features
3 Business Tips Share useful tips 15% Help small businesses grow
4 Success Stories Tell real stories 10% Share real user success stories
5 Village Life Show village vibes 10% Showcase village culture, markets, festivals
💡 How to Follow the Content Mix

If you make 10 reels a month, here's how to split them:
• 4 reels = Shop Spotlight
• 2-3 reels = App Tutorial
• 1-2 reels = Business Tips
• 1 reel = Success Story
• 1 reel = Village Life
It doesn't have to be an exact match — this is a guideline, not a rule!

5.2 — Pillar 1: Shop Spotlight (Feature a Local Shop) — 40%

This is your bread and butter content — the kind you'll make the most. In this type, you feature a local shop, workshop, or small business.

Why This Content is Important

How to Create a Shop Spotlight — Step by Step

  1. Pick a shop — Choose an interesting shop in your village/area. One that sells something unique, or has been around forever, or whose owner has a great story.
  2. Get permission — Tell the shopkeeper: "I'm making an Instagram video, I'd like to feature your shop — is that okay?" Most people will happily say yes!
  3. Chat with them (Interview) — Ask: How long have you had this shop? What's special about it? How did you start? What challenges do you face? These answers = content!
  4. Shoot the video — Wide shot of the shop, close-ups of products, shopkeeper talking, shopkeeper working
  5. Edit it — Make a 30-60 second reel, add trending audio, put in text overlays
  6. Mention KaryoSetu — At the end: "And guess what, [shopkeeper] is now on KaryoSetu too! Download it — code in bio!"
🎬 Shop Spotlight Script Template

"Friends, today I'm bringing you the most [unique quality] shop in [village/area] — [shop name]! This is [shopkeeper's name] uncle/bhai/didi, who's been [what they make/sell] for [X years]. Look at how [show the process]... Amazing, right? And now their shop is on KaryoSetu too — which means people from the whole area can find them! List your shop too — link in bio, code [your code]! ⭐"

📍 10 Shop Spotlight Ideas
  • The village's oldest kirana store — "50 years old, 3 generations!"
  • Street food vendor — "₹10 ki chaat that beats any MasterChef dish!"
  • Potter — "The hands that turn mud into gold"
  • Tailor — "One needle, one thread, and incredible talent!"
  • Blacksmith — "The magician who bends iron like wax"
  • Chai stall — "This chai has tasted the same for 30 years!"
  • Village barber — "The village nai who gives Bollywood-style haircuts!"
  • Farmer — "A progressive farmer doing organic kheti"
  • SHG group — "10 women came together and built a business!"
  • Mechanic/Repair shop — "Any machine, these guys will fix it!"

5.3 — Pillar 2: App Tutorial (Teach the App) — 25%

This content directly teaches KaryoSetu app features. Two big benefits — people learn how to use the app (they create listings = your referral count goes up!), and you build an "expert" image.

Tutorial Content Ideas

How to Make a Tutorial

  1. Screen Recording — Record your phone screen while using the app
  2. Voiceover — Explain over the recording: "First tap here, then select this..."
  3. Keep it short — 30-60 seconds max. People don't watch long tutorials
  4. 1 Topic = 1 Reel — Don't try to cover everything in one reel, one feature per reel
  5. End CTA — "Try it now! Download link is in the bio, code [code]!"
🎬 Tutorial Script Example

"Friends, creating a listing on KaryoSetu is so easy, it takes just 5 seconds! Watch — [screen recording starts] — just press this mic button and say 'I want to sell my buffalo, Wardha district' — done! The app created the listing by itself! Add a photo, enter the price, and hit Done! Now your buffalo is visible to the entire district. Download it — link in bio!"

⚠️ While Making Tutorials

• Make sure no personal information (phone number, address) is visible in the screen recording!
• If you're creating a demo listing for the tutorial, delete it afterwards — don't leave fake listings up
• Use simple language — don't say "Navigate to Settings," say "Tap the 3 dots in the top corner"

5.4 — Pillar 3: Business Tips — 15%

This content is educational — you're giving small business owners tips on how to grow their business. This kind of content positions you as a knowledge leader and attracts followers who are interested in business.

Business Tips Content Ideas

🎬 Business Tips Script Example

"Friends, here's one tip that can get your listing 3x more views — Photos! Look at this photo [show bad photo] — dark, blurry, can't see anything. Nobody's going to click on it. Now look at this photo [show good photo] — bright, clear, product is crystal clear. Just do 3 things: 1) Take photos in natural light, 2) Keep the background clean, 3) Show multiple angles. That simple! Now go update your KaryoSetu listings — link in bio!"

🎓 Tips Series Ideas

You can create a series — a "Business Tips" series, like:

  • Business Tip #1: How to take good photos
  • Business Tip #2: How to set prices
  • Business Tip #3: How to talk to customers
  • Business Tip #4: How to get repeat customers
  • Business Tip #5: How to run festival offers

Series content is loved by the Instagram algorithm — people who watch Part 1 will follow you for Part 2!

5.5 — Pillar 4: Success Stories — 10%

This is the most powerful type of content — real stories from real people. When someone watches and thinks "Hey, this person is just like me, and they did so well with KaryoSetu" — they'll want to try it too.

How to Find Success Stories

Success Story Format

  1. Introduction: "This is [name], from [village/town], they [what they do]"
  2. Problem: "Before, they had this [problem]..."
  3. Solution: "Then they did [what] on KaryoSetu..."
  4. Result: "And now [result — income went up, found customers, etc.]"
  5. Quote: Have the person speak directly — "I'm so happy, KaryoSetu really helped me!"
  6. CTA: "You try it too — download link in bio!"
🎬 Success Story Script Template

"Friends, today meet [name] [bhai/didi/chacha/aunty]. They [work] in [village]. Before, their problem was [problem]. Then they listed their [listing/service] on the KaryoSetu app. And in just [X days/weeks], [result]! [Person speaks to camera]: 'Yes, it was great, now [positive outcome].' See? Completely real! You try it too — link in bio, code [code]! ⭐"

💡 Success Story Tips

• Always get permission — ask the person "Can I share your story on Instagram?"
Don't exaggerate — if someone earned ₹5,000, don't say ₹50,000
• Keep it relatable — the viewer should feel "I could do this too!"
• In the video, let the person speak for themselves — their words have more impact than yours

5.6 — Pillar 5: Village Life — 10%

This content isn't directly about KaryoSetu — it showcases your village's culture, beauty, and energy. But it's really important because:

Village Life Content Ideas

🎬 Village Life Script Example

"Friends, this is our [village name]'s Saturday bazaar! Look — Ramu Chacha is selling vegetables, this didi is selling hand-ground masala, and this bhai has brought fresh gur! The village bazaar = the real India! And now all of this is available on KaryoSetu too — right on your phone! 📱 #GaonKaBazaar #VillageLife #KaryoSetu"

5.7 — Content Mix: Monthly Calendar

If you're making 12 reels per month (Silver Star level), here's the ideal mix:

Week Mon Wed Fri
Week 1 🏪 Shop Spotlight 📱 App Tutorial 🏪 Shop Spotlight
Week 2 💡 Business Tips 🏪 Shop Spotlight 📱 App Tutorial
Week 3 🏪 Shop Spotlight 🌟 Success Story 📱 App Tutorial
Week 4 🏪 Shop Spotlight 💡 Business Tips 🌾 Village Life

Total: 5 Shop Spotlight (42%), 3 Tutorials (25%), 2 Business Tips (17%), 1 Success Story (8%), 1 Village Life (8%) — perfect mix!

5.8 — Pillar → Format → Frequency → Example Caption (Detailed)

Pillar Best Format Frequency Example Caption
🏪 Shop Spotlight Walk-in style Reel (30-60 sec) 4-5/month "30 years, same spot, same taste! 🏪 Meet [Name] ji's [Shop]. Now on KaryoSetu too! 📱 Code: STAR-XXX #ShopSpotlight #KaryoSetu"
📱 App Tutorial Screen recording + voiceover (30-45 sec) 2-3/month "Create a listing in just 5 seconds — by speaking! 🎤 Watch how. Download now, link in bio! #KaryoSetuTutorial #VoiceListing"
💡 Business Tips Talking head / Before-After (15-30 sec) 1-2/month "Need to take a shop photo? 📸 Follow these 3 tips — guaranteed 3x more views! #BusinessTips #SmallBusiness"
🌟 Success Stories Interview style Reel (45-90 sec) 1/month "₹5,000 worth of stuff sold in 3 days! 🤩 Hear [Name]'s story — KaryoSetu magic! #SuccessStory #RealResults"
🌾 Village Life Cinematic/aesthetic Reel (15-30 sec) 1/month "Village mornings ☀️ No noise, just peace. And now the village bazaar is digital too! #VillageLife #GaonKaBazaar"
✏️ Activity: Create Your Content Plan

Make a content plan for the next 2 weeks. Write it down on paper:

  • Week 1, Day 1: [Pillar] — [Topic] — [Which shop/feature/tip]
  • Week 1, Day 3: [Pillar] — [Topic]
  • Week 1, Day 5: [Pillar] — [Topic]
  • Week 2, Day 1: [Pillar] — [Topic]
  • Week 2, Day 3: [Pillar] — [Topic]
  • Week 2, Day 5: [Pillar] — [Topic]

Having a plan keeps your content consistent — no more "what do I make today?" confusion!

💡 Hashtag Strategy

Always use these hashtags in every reel:

  • Brand hashtags: #KaryoSetu #SetuStar #GaonKaBazaar
  • Location hashtags: #Wardha #Nagpur #Maharashtra (use your area's names)
  • Content hashtags: #SmallBusiness #VillageLife #RuralIndia #VocalForLocal
  • Trending hashtags: Whatever's trending that day, use it if it's relevant

15-20 hashtags per reel is optimal. Don't add more than that — it looks spammy.

✅ Day 1 Checklist

📅 Day 2: Instagram Creator Account Setup + Intro Reel

Step-by-Step

  1. Instagram Creator Account — If you have a personal account, switch it (Settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account → Creator)

Starting today, I'll show you the real India of our village — the people, the talent, the shops, and an amazing app called KaryoSetu that's the digital bazaar for villages! Follow me, we'll have fun and learn a lot! ⭐ #SetuStar #GaonKiKahani #KaryoSetu"

✅ Day 2 Checklist

📅 Day 3: Your First Shop Spotlight

Theme: Start

Today you're going out into the field! Visit 3 local shops, chat with the owners, and create your first Shop Spotlight reel.

Step-by-Step

  1. Pick 3 shops — Identify 3 interesting shops in your village/area
  2. Visit them — Go there, talk to the shopkeeper, get permission
  3. Interview them:
    • "How long have you had this shop?"
    • "What's special about your shop?"
    • "How did you start?"
    • "Have you heard of KaryoSetu?"
  4. Shoot the video — Wide shot of the shop, product close-ups, shopkeeper talking
  5. KaryoSetu Pitch — "Bhai/Didi, your shop can be listed on KaryoSetu for free — everyone will see it!" If they agree, help them create a listing (referral!)
  6. Edit the best shop's reel — Make a 30-60 sec reel
  7. Post it — In the evening
⚠️ First Time in the Field

You'll feel nervous — "What do I say? How do I start? What if the shopkeeper says no?" — that's all completely normal! Remember — you're giving them free promotion, you're not taking anything from them. 8 out of 10 people will happily say yes!

✅ Day 3 Checklist

📅 Day 4: App Tutorial Reel

Theme: Teach

Today you'll make a reel teaching a KaryoSetu app feature. Use the screen recording + voiceover format.

  • "KaryoSetu download and signup — complete guide"
  • "How to find listings in your area"

✅ Day 4 Checklist

📅 Day 5: Business Tips Reel

Theme: Give Value

Today you'll create a Business Tips reel — something genuinely useful for small business owners.

Step-by-Step

  1. Pick a topic — "How to take good photos for your shop" is the best starting topic
  2. Prepare examples — Take one bad photo and one good photo (same product, different angles/lighting)
  3. Shoot it — Show the Before/After, explain the tips
  4. Give 3 Simple Tips:
    • Take photos in natural light
    • Keep the background clean
    • Show multiple angles
  5. Edit and post
🎬 Day 5 Script: Photo Tips

"Bhai, why does nobody click on your listing? 🤔 Because your photo looks like this! [Show bad photo] Now look at this — same item, but the photo is taken like this [Show good photo]. See the difference? 3 tips: One — take it in natural light, near a window. Two — keep the background clean, use a plain cloth. Three — take 3-4 angles, front, top, side. That's it! Now go update your KaryoSetu listing photos! Link in bio! 📱"

✅ Day 5 Checklist

Theme: Grow

Today you'll aggressively share your referral code and build engagement.

    • Story 4: Behind-the-scenes — "Here's how today's shooting went!"
  2. WhatsApp Status — Post an attractive image/video with your referral code
  3. WhatsApp Groups — Share in your village/local groups (don't spam, 1 message is enough)
  4. Reply to comments — Reply to all comments on your reels from the last 5 days
  5. Engage with other creators — Leave meaningful comments on 10 local creators'/pages' posts
  6. Check DMs — If anyone messaged you, reply
💡 Engagement = Growth

Instagram's algorithm pushes accounts that actively engage. This means — the more you reply to comments, comment on others' posts, and react to stories — the more Instagram will show your content to people. Spend 15-20 minutes daily just on engagement!

✅ Day 6 Checklist

📅 Day 7: Review & Plan Ahead

Theme: Learn and Move Forward

Today you'll review your first week — what worked, what didn't, what you learned — and plan next week.

Step-by-Step

  1. Check your analytics — Open Instagram Insights:
    • How many accounts did you reach?
    • Which reel got the most views?
    • How many new followers came in?
    • How was the engagement rate?
  2. Check your referrals — Look at the KaryoSetu app/dashboard — how many referrals came in?
  3. Identify your best performer — Which content performed best? Why?
  4. Write down your learnings — What went well, what needs improvement
  5. Plan next week:
    • Plan 3 reels (decide topics)
    • Which shops will you visit?
    • Which tutorial will you make?

  • Content quality: ___ / 5
  • Field visits: ___ / 5
  • Engagement effort: ___ / 5
  • Referral effort: ___ / 5

Day 2 Prepare Instagram setup Intro Reel Account ready
Day 3 Start 3 shop visits Shop Spotlight Reel 1st field content
Day 4 Teach Tutorial creation App Tutorial Reel Educational content

💡 What Happens After Week 1?

After Week 1 is done — just repeat the same pattern! 2-3 reels every week, regular stories, engagement, and referral code sharing. Module 2 will give you the advanced Instagram Creator account setup, editing tools, and detailed content strategy. Module 3 covers advanced content creation techniques. For now, just do one thing — START! 🚀

⚠️ Common Mistakes — In the First Week

Perfectionism: "The reel isn't perfect, I won't post it" — WRONG! An imperfect post > No post. Quality improves with time.
Comparison: "That creator has 10K followers, I have 10" — WRONG! Everyone's journey is different. Focus on YOUR progress.
Spam: Posting "Download it! Download it!" in every group — WRONG! Create value-based content and people will come on their own.
Inconsistency: "Don't feel like it today" — stay disciplined! You made a 7-day commitment, finish it!
No engagement: Posting and forgetting about it — WRONG! Reply to comments, post stories, stay active!

Assessment — What Did You Learn?

Module 1 complete! Now test yourself — how well did you understand? Take the quiz and do the homework!

Assessment

📝 Module 1 Quiz & Homework

🧠 Quiz: 5 Questions (Check Your Knowledge)

Quiz — Module 1: What is Setu Star?
  1. Q1: What is KaryoSetu's most unique feature that OLX/Quikr don't have?
    (a) Beautiful UI design
    (b) Voice-first — create listings by speaking
    (c) Lots of users
    (d) Free delivery
✅ Answer: (b) Voice-first — create listings by speaking. KaryoSetu is a voice-first app where you can create listings just by talking. OLX/Quikr don't have this feature. This is a game-changer for people who can't type.
  2. Q2: What is the main difference between a Setu Star and a Setu Saathi?
    (a) They're the same, just different names
    (b) Saathi = teaches people to use the app, Star = creates Instagram content to spread awareness
    (c) Star = does coding, Saathi = does designing
    (d) Saathi gets paid more
✅ Answer: (b) Saathi = directly teaches people how to use the app (on-ground support), Star = creates Instagram content to spread awareness (digital presence). Both are important roles but with different approaches.
  3. Q3: How many referrals do you need to become a Silver Star?
    (a) 10
    (b) 25
    (c) 50
    (d) 100
✅ Answer: (c) 50 referrals. To become a Silver Star, you need at least 50 referrals (cumulative), 500 followers, 12 reels/month, and 3 months of being active.
  4. Q4: When does a Setu Star get paid for a referral?
    (a) When someone downloads the app
    (b) When someone downloads the app and creates their first listing
    (c) When someone logs into the app
    (d) Once a month, for all referrals together
✅ Answer: (b) When someone downloads the app and creates their first listing. You don't get paid just for a download — the user has to create their first listing, then the referral gets verified and payment comes through the weekly payout cycle via UPI.
  5. Q5: Out of the 5 Content Pillars, which type of content should you create the most (40%)?
    (a) App Tutorial
    (b) Business Tips
    (c) Shop Spotlight
    (d) Success Stories
✅ Answer: (c) Shop Spotlight (Feature a local shop) — 40%. This is the main content type. Featuring local shops and businesses gets you local engagement, brings in referrals, and creates unique content that never gets boring.
