Part A — Get to Know the App

What is KaryoSetu, how to download it, how to create an account, and what the Home Screen looks like

Chapter 1

What is KaryoSetu?

In this chapter, we'll understand why KaryoSetu was built, who it's for, and how it's useful for your village or town.

🎯 Why learn this?

Until you yourself understand what KaryoSetu is and why it was created, how will you explain it to anyone else? This chapter is your "foundation" — read it carefully.

First — A Story

Ramesh bhai lives in a small village in Madhya Pradesh. He has an old tractor-trolley that he no longer needs. Finding a buyer in the city is difficult — creating a listing on OLX-Quikr is beyond him (you have to write in English, searches are city-level). There's no visible buyer in the neighbourhood. The trolley sits out in the sun and rain, rusting away.

Meanwhile, Dinesh in the next village needs a trolley — but he has no idea that Ramesh bhai, just 10 km away, wants to sell one.

This is exactly the problem KaryoSetu solves.

KaryoSetu — In One Line

KaryoSetu is a voice-first, hyperlocal C2C marketplace app that connects people in villages and towns with each other — to buy and sell goods, to offer and find services, and to find and provide work.

Let's break it down in simple language:

Vision — "Work for Every Hand, Recognition for Every Village"

KaryoSetu's dream is very simple: people in every village and town across India should be able to bring their skills, their goods, and their services onto a digital platform — without anyone's help, in their own language, using their own voice.

Imagine — if every skilled person in every village had a listing on KaryoSetu, then anyone could find out at any time "who's the plumber near me", "who gives tuitions", "whose buffalo is for sale".

💡 Think — How many people can this help

Sunita ji runs an SHG (Self Help Group). The women in her group make pickles, papad, and spices. Until now they only sold within the village. They put up a listing on KaryoSetu — and people from 20 km away started ordering. Monthly sales doubled!

13 Categories — What You Can Find on KaryoSetu

KaryoSetu has 13 main categories. Each category has different types of goods and services:

#CategoryWhat You'll Find (Examples)

Who Uses KaryoSetu?

KaryoSetu isn't just for one type of person — it's for everyone:

💡 Real-Life Examples

Farmer Ramesh: Listed his wheat crop for sale. The flour-mill owner nearby contacted him directly — the middleman was cut out, and Ramesh got ₹200/quintal more.

Electrician Dinesh: Listed his service — "Electrical work, wiring, MCB fitting". Now he gets calls from 3–4 villages. Earlier, he only got work in his own village.

Chai-stall owner Mangal bhai: Created a listing for his stall with photos. Now whenever a newcomer arrives in the area and searches "chai" on KaryoSetu, Mangal bhai's stall shows up.

Setu Saathi — Where Do You Fit In?

You are a Setu Saathi — the bridge between the KaryoSetu app and the people of your village. You will help people download the app, teach them how to use it, and assist them. For this, you'll get a special Saathi Dashboard where you can see your progress and track your earnings.

But first — you need to know the app so well that you can instantly answer any question someone asks. That's exactly why this booklet exists.

📝 Homework — Chapter 1
  1. Talk to 5 people in your village/neighbourhood and ask — "If you wanted to sell something or find a service, what would you do?" Write down their answers.
  2. Out of the 13 categories, which 3 would be most useful in your area? Why?
  3. KaryoSetu's tagline is "Work for Every Hand, Recognition for Every Village" (हर हाथ को काम, हर गांव को पहचान) — explain it in your own words to someone.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. KaryoSetu is a "voice-first" app — what does that mean?
→ You can search by speaking, create listings by speaking — no need to type.
  2. What does "hyperlocal" mean?
→ It focuses on your nearby area (10–50 km) — it shows things from your area, not all of India.
  3. How many categories does KaryoSetu have? Name any 3.
→ 13 categories — e.g., Agriculture, Livestock, Services, Vehicles, etc.
  4. Who is a Setu Saathi and what is their role?
→ A Setu Saathi is a community member who teaches people about the KaryoSetu app, helps them download it, and assists them.
Chapter 2

Downloading & Opening the App for the First Time

Now that you know what KaryoSetu is, let's download the app! This chapter will tell you — where to download it, how it gets installed, and what you'll see when you open it for the first time.

🎯 Why learn this?

When someone in the village asks you "Where do I get this app?", you should be able to answer instantly. Getting people to download the app — that's your first job as a Setu Saathi.

Step 1: Find It on the Play Store

KaryoSetu is available on the Google Play Store. It's not on iPhone (Apple) yet — since most of rural India uses Android phones, the initial focus is on Android.

How to find it on the Play Store:

  1. Open the Play Store app on your phone (the colourful triangle icon).
  2. Type in the search bar at the top: "KaryoSetu"
  3. The first result will appear — KaryoSetu with a green logo. You'll see "KaryoSetu Technologies" as the developer name.
  4. Press the "Install" button.
⚠️ Be Careful

Sometimes there can be fake apps with similar names. Always check the developer name — it should be "KaryoSetu Technologies Pvt. Ltd." If you're unsure, get the link directly from the website.

Step 2: Download & Install

After pressing the Install button:

💡 Pro Tip — Save Data

If you're helping someone download the app and they have limited data, get it done on WiFi. If there's no WiFi in the village, share a hotspot from your own phone — that's the mark of a good Setu Saathi!

Step 3: First Time Opening — What Will You See?

When the app opens for the first time, a few screens will appear:

Screen 1: Welcome / Splash Screen

The KaryoSetu logo appears on a green background. The next screen comes up in 2–3 seconds.

Screen 2: Language Selection

This is a very important screen! Here the app will ask — "Choose your language".

For most people, select Hindi. You can always change the language later from settings.

Screen 3: Onboarding Slides (2–3 slides)

Short slides will appear explaining:

  1. "Buy & sell in your area" — with illustration
  2. "Search by speaking, sell by speaking" — highlighting the voice feature
  3. "Connect with your community" — with illustration

Each slide has a "Next" button. The last slide will have a "Get Started" button.

Step 4: Permissions — What the App Will Ask For

The app needs certain permissions. People often get scared — "Why is it asking for this?" — you need to know how to explain this.

PermissionWhy It's NeededWhat to Tell the User
📸 CameraTo take photos for listings and profile photos"This is so you can take a photo of your item directly from the app"
📍 LocationTo show nearby listings, to power the "nearby" feature"This is so the app can show you what's available in your area — within 10–20 km"
🔔 NotificationsTo inform you about new inquiries, messages, listing updates"This is so you get notified right away when someone views your listing or sends a message"
🎤 MicrophoneFor voice search, voice listing creation"This is so you can search by speaking — no need to type"
🗣️ When someone is scared of permissions — say this

"भैया/बहनजी, ये permission इसलिए माँगता है ताकि app ठीक से काम कर सके। जैसे WhatsApp भी camera और mic permission लेता है — photo भेजने और voice message के लिए। बिल्कुल वैसे ही ये है। आपका data safe रहता है।"

(Brother/Sister, the app asks for these permissions so it can work properly. Just like WhatsApp also asks for camera and mic permissions — for sending photos and voice messages. It's exactly the same. Your data stays safe.)

⚠️ If Someone Denies a Permission

The app will work at a basic level even without permissions, but some features won't work — for example, voice search won't work without mic permission, and nearby listings won't show without location. They can allow permissions later from Settings → App Permissions.

🎯 Now you try!

Download the KaryoSetu app on your phone (if you haven't already). Open it for the first time and observe every screen carefully. Allow all permissions. Check — what languages are available in the language selection?

💡 Real Scenario — Download Problem

Situation: Ramesh bhai's phone is old, with 16GB storage. It shows "Storage full".

Solution: First go to Settings → Storage and delete unnecessary apps. Or clear cache (Settings → Apps → Play Store → Clear Cache). KaryoSetu is only ~30MB — it's a very small app.

📝 Homework — Chapter 2
  1. Download KaryoSetu on 2 people's phones. Note — how long did it take, were there any problems?
  2. Write one line in your own words about each of the app's 4 permissions — "Why is this permission needed?"
  3. If someone's phone storage is full, list 3 solutions.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. What is the approximate size of the KaryoSetu app?
    → About 30 MB
  2. Why is location permission needed?
→ So the app can show you nearby listings from your area.
  3. If someone denies the microphone permission, what will happen?
→ Voice search and voice listing won't work — the rest of the app will still function.
Chapter 3

How to Create an Account

The app is downloaded and opened — now it's time to create an account. It's a very simple process — you just need a phone number and an OTP. Let's go through it step by step.

🎯 Why learn this?

This is the most common place where people get stuck — especially on OTP. If you can explain OTP well, you'll be able to solve 90% of the problems.

Step 1: Enter Your Phone Number

After selecting the language (or after the onboarding slides), a screen will appear:

"Enter your mobile number"

⚠️ Don't enter the wrong number!

The OTP will come to the number you enter. If you enter someone else's number, you won't receive the OTP. And this number becomes your account — so always enter your own number.

Step 2: OTP — What It Is and How It Works

OTP = One Time Password. It's a temporary code — 4 or 6 digits — that comes to your phone via SMS.

🗣️ How to explain OTP in simple language

"भैया/बहनजी, OTP मतलब एक code — जैसे ताले की चाभी। ये code आपके phone पर message में आएगा — 4 या 6 नंबर का। बस वो नंबर app में डाल दो। ये इसलिए भेजा जाता है ताकि confirm हो जाए कि ये वाकई आपका ही phone है, कोई और आपके नाम से account नहीं बना रहा।"

(Brother/Sister, OTP means a code — like a key to a lock. This code will come to your phone as a message — 4 or 6 digits. Just enter that number in the app. It's sent to confirm that this is really your phone and no one else is making an account in your name.)

What to do after the OTP arrives:

  1. An SMS notification will come — it'll contain a 4/6 digit code (e.g., "Your KaryoSetu OTP is 4829").
  2. Often the app reads the OTP automatically — so you don't need to type anything. Just wait 5–10 seconds.
  3. If it doesn't auto-read, go to the SMS app, see the code, remember it, and type it in the KaryoSetu app.
  4. Press the "Verify" button.
💡 Example — Explaining OTP

Sunita ji: "Bhai, what is this OTP-OTP thing? I don't understand all this."

Setu Saathi (You): "Didi, don't worry at all. Look, a message will come to your phone right now — it'll have a number written in it. Just enter that number here. Think of it like entering your PIN at an ATM — it's exactly like that. Come, let me show you."

Common Problems — OTP Not Arriving

This is the most frequently asked question. There can be several reasons why an OTP doesn't arrive:

ProblemReasonSolution
OTP didn't arriveNetwork is slowWait 1–2 minutes. Press "Resend OTP".
Pressing Resend repeatedlyServer overloadWait 5 minutes, then try again.
DND (Do Not Disturb) is onTelecom company is blocking SMSCall 1909 → Deactivate DND. Or send SMS → STOP DND.
Entered wrong numberTypoCheck the number, enter the correct one, then send OTP again.
Number is on SIM 2SMS is arriving on the other SIMCheck the inbox of the other SIM.
💡 Resend OTP — How Many Times?

Usually you can resend 2–3 times. There's a timer between each resend (30–60 seconds). If OTP doesn't arrive even after 3 tries, try again after 15–30 minutes.

Step 3: Profile Setup

After OTP verification, the profile setup screen will appear. You need to fill in:

1. Name

Enter your full name — like "Ramesh Yadav" or "Sunita Devi". You can write in Hindi or English.

2. Village / City

Enter the name of your village or town. This is important so people know where you're from. Nearby listings also work based on this.

3. Profile Photo (Optional — but recommended)

Adding a photo isn't mandatory, but it builds trust. Think about it — if a listing appears with the seller's photo, you feel more confident that it's a real person.

🗣️ To encourage someone to add a photo, say this

"भैया, photo लगाना ज़रूरी नहीं है — लेकिन लगाओगे तो लोगों को भरोसा ज़्यादा होगा। जैसे WhatsApp पर भी DP लगाते हो ना — बिल्कुल वैसा ही। एक अच्छी सी selfie लगा दो।"

(Brother, adding a photo isn't required — but if you do, people will trust you more. Just like you put a DP on WhatsApp, right? It's exactly like that. Just add a nice selfie.)

4. Language Selection (if not done earlier)

Hindi / English — whichever you prefer. You can change it anytime later.

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Create your account (if you haven't already).
  2. Add your name, village/city, and photo in the profile.
  3. Now create an account on someone else's phone — guide them yourself, tell them to wait for the OTP. See how well you can explain OTP.
📝 Homework — Chapter 3
  1. Create accounts for 3 people. Each time note — where did they get stuck, what questions did they ask.
  2. "What is OTP" — explain it in 3 different ways (to a child, to an elderly person, and to a shopkeeper).
  3. If OTP isn't arriving, write down 4 possible reasons and their solutions.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. What is the full form of OTP?
    → One Time Password
  2. If OTP doesn't arrive in more than 2 minutes, what will you do first?
→ Press the "Resend OTP" button. If it still doesn't come, wait 5 minutes and try again.
  3. Is adding a profile photo mandatory?
→ No, it's optional — but it builds trust, so it's recommended.
  4. What is DND and how does it affect OTP?
→ Do Not Disturb — the telecom company blocks promotional SMS, but sometimes transactional SMS (OTP) also gets blocked. You can turn it off by calling 1909.
Chapter 4

Understanding the Home Screen

Account created — now you're inside the app! The Home Screen is the first screen you see when you open the app. You need to know which button is where and what it does.

🎯 Why learn this?

The Home Screen is your "starting point" — like the main entrance to a temple. If you don't know where everything is, you'll be confused yourself and confuse others too.

Think of the Home Screen Like This...

Imagine you're standing at the crossroads in your village. There's a notice board with details about who's selling what, which services are available. Above it is a megaphone you can speak into to search. Beside it are category-wise lanes — a farming lane, a goods lane, a services lane. And in the corner there's an information centre with your profile, notifications, and more.

KaryoSetu's Home Screen is just like this — only it's all digital!

Understanding Every Part of the Home Screen

1. Search Bar (At the Very Top)

At the top of the Home Screen there's a search bar — it says "What are you looking for?" or "Search here...". It has two parts:

This is the most powerful feature of the app. We'll learn about it in detail in Chapter 5.

2. Category Grid (Below the Search Bar)

A grid of colourful icons appears — each icon represents a category:

Tap on any icon — all listings from that category will appear.

3. Nearby Listings

Below the category grid there's a section — "Near You" or "Nearby". This shows all listings near your location (10–30 km) — latest first.

Each listing card shows:

💡 This is what Nearby Listings look like

Imagine these listings on your Home Screen:

  • 🌾 "Wheat 10 quintals — ₹2,200/quintal" — 5 km away — 1 hour ago
  • 🔧 "Plumber — tap and tank repair" — 2 km away — 3 hours ago
  • 🐄 "Desi cow for sale — 6 litres milk" — 8 km away — yesterday
  • 🏠 "Used fan — good condition" — 1 km away — 2 days ago

4. Trending / Popular Items

Some listings that have been viewed by many people or have received many inquiries appear in the "Trending" section. This is a horizontal scrollable list.

5. Notification Bell 🔔 (Top Right)

In the top-right corner of the screen there's a bell icon (🔔). Tap it — all your notifications will appear:

If there's a red dot / number on the bell, it means there are new unread notifications.

6. Profile Icon (Top Left or Right)

This is a small icon of your profile photo (or a default avatar). Tap it — the profile page opens with your details, your listings, and settings.

7. Bottom Navigation Bar

At the very bottom of the screen there's a bar with 4–5 tabs:

TabIconWhat It Does
Home🏠Main Home Screen — this is the first page
Search / Explore🔍Search page — categories and search
Add / Sell (+)Button to create a new listing — appears large in the centre
Messages / Chat💬Buyer-seller conversations
Profile / Account👤Your profile, listings, settings
💡 The Most Important Button

The "+" (Add/Sell) button in the middle of the bottom bar is the most important — it's bright-coloured and larger than the others. Tap it — and start creating a listing! We'll learn about this in detail in Chapter 6.

🗣️ While explaining the Home Screen to someone, say this

"देखो, ये आपका Home Screen है — जैसे आपके गाँव का चौराहा। ऊपर ये search bar है — यहाँ बोलो या लिखो जो चाहिए। ये colorful icons categories हैं — खेती, सामान, service — जो चाहो tap करो। नीचे scroll करो — अपने area की listings दिखेंगी। और सबसे नीचे — ये 5 buttons हैं: Home, Search, Sell (नया बेचो), Messages, और Profile। बस इतना ही समझना है!"

(Look, this is your Home Screen — like the crossroads of your village. At the top is this search bar — speak or type whatever you need. These colourful icons are categories — farming, goods, services — tap whichever you want. Scroll down — you'll see listings from your area. And at the very bottom — these 5 buttons: Home, Search, Sell (sell something new), Messages, and Profile. That's all you need to understand!)

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the app and look at the Home Screen carefully. Find every element — search bar, categories, nearby listings, bell icon, bottom tabs.
  2. Tap on each bottom tab and see what opens.
  3. Tap the notification bell — are there any notifications?
  4. Look at 3 nearby listings — what information do they show?
📝 Homework — Chapter 4
  1. Make a list of the 7 main elements of the Home Screen — with a one-line description for each.
  2. Write down the names and functions of the 5 tabs in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Explain the Home Screen to a family member — notice which part they didn't understand.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. What is the mic icon in the search bar for?
→ For voice search — to search for things by speaking.
  2. What does a red dot on the notification bell mean?
→ There are new unread notifications that haven't been viewed yet.
  3. What does the "+" button in the bottom bar do?
→ It opens the page to create a new listing — if you want to sell something, start here.
  4. What kind of listings appear in the "Nearby" section?
→ The latest listings from around your location (10–30 km).

Part B — Use the App

Searching, Creating Listings, and Transactions — now let's get hands-on!

Chapter 5

How to Search

Searching for anything on KaryoSetu is super easy — type, speak, or browse by category. In this chapter, we'll learn all the methods.

🎯 Why learn this?

Search is the first thing any user does. Once someone learns to search properly, they'll find the app useful and will keep coming back to it.

Method 1: Text Search — Search by Typing

Tap on the search bar on the Home Screen. The keyboard will open. Now type what you're looking for:

As you type, suggestions will appear — just like in a Google search. Tap a suggestion or finish typing and press the search icon (🔍).

Method 2: Voice Search — Search by Speaking 🎤

This is KaryoSetu's most awesome feature! Many people find typing difficult — voice search is for them.

How to use it:

  1. Tap the mic icon (🎤) in the search bar.
  2. A popup will appear — "Speak now..." / "Listening..."
  3. Now say what you're looking for — in Hindi, in your own dialect:
💡 Voice Search Examples — Say these
  • "Plumber chahiye" → Plumber listings will appear
  • "Tractor kiraye pe" → Tractors for rent
  • "Desi ghee" → Desi ghee for sale
  • "Bijli ka kaam" → Electrician services
  • "Purani cycle" → Used bicycles for sale
  • "Silai ka kaam chahiye" → Tailoring services
  • "Bhains bikau" → Buffalo-for-sale listings
💡 Voice Search Tips

• Speak clearly — not too fast, not too slow.
• Less background noise means better results.
• No need to speak full sentences — 2–3 words are enough.
• You can speak in Hindi or Hinglish.

Method 3: Category Browse — Search by Category

If you don't know exactly what to search for but know the category, then:

  1. On the Home Screen, tap the category icon you want (e.g., 🌾 Agriculture).
  2. All listings from that category will appear — latest first.
  3. Now scroll through them to find what you need.
💡 Scenario — Mangal bhai is looking for supplies for his chai stall

Mangal bhai needs a used gas stove for his chai stall. Here's what he did:

  1. Tapped the 🏠 Household Goods category
  2. Scrolled through the listings
  3. Found "Gas stove" — ₹1,500, 4 km away
  4. Opened the listing, checked the photos, and messaged the seller
  5. Went the next day and bought it!

Filters — Refine Your Results

After searching, results appear. To make them more specific, you can use Filters:

FilterWhat It DoesExample
💰 PriceSet a min–max price range₹500 to ₹5,000
📍 DistanceHow far to show results5 km, 10 km, 25 km, 50 km
⭐ RatingFilter by seller rating4 stars and above
🕐 PostedWhen the listing was postedToday, this week, this month

How to use Filters:

  1. On the search results page, tap the "Filter" icon (usually a funnel 🔽 icon).
  2. Set the price range, choose distance.
  3. Press "Apply".
  4. Results will now be filtered!

"Nearby" Feature — What's Around You

The "Nearby" section is already visible on the Home Screen, but in search results too there's a "Nearby first" option — which shows the closest listings first.

⚠️ "No results found" showing up?

Sometimes a search returns no results — zero listings. This can happen because:
• There are still few listings in your area (this is normal — the app is new)
• The spelling is wrong — try voice search
• Filters are too tight — increase the distance or widen the price range
As a Setu Saathi — the more listings you help create, the more search results there will be!

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Text search: Type "milk" and see what results appear.
  2. Voice search: Press the mic and say "Plumber chahiye".
  3. Category browse: Tap the Services category.
  4. Use Filters: Set price ₹100–₹1000, distance 10 km — how many listings showed up?
📝 Homework — Chapter 5
  1. Do 5 different voice searches — say something different each time. Note — were the results accurate?
  2. Browse 3 categories and note the top 3 listings in each.
  3. Use Filters to specifically find a listing under ₹500 and within 5 km.
  4. Teach voice search to a family member and note their reaction.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Which icon do you press to do a voice search?
→ The mic icon (🎤) in the search bar
  2. If too many search results are showing, what will you do to narrow them down?
→ Use Filters — set price, distance, rating.
  3. What does "category browse" mean?
→ Tap one of the category icons on the Home Screen — all its listings will appear.
  4. If "No results found" appears, what are 3 possible reasons?
→ 1) There are few listings in the area 2) The spelling is wrong 3) Filters are too tight
Chapter 6

Creating a Listing — Step by Step

So far you've learned to search — to look at other people's listings. Now learn how to create your own listing — that is, sell something or list your service. This chapter is very important!

🎯 Why learn this?

As a Setu Saathi, your biggest job is to help people create listings. The more listings there are, the more active the marketplace becomes. That's why creating a listing should be second nature to you — for yourself and for others.

The Complete Listing Creation Flow

Creating a listing happens in 6 simple steps. Let's look at each step in detail.

Step 1: Press the "+" Button

Tap the "+" (Add/Sell) button in the middle of the bottom navigation bar. The new listing screen will open.

Step 2: Choose a Category

First, select which category this listing belongs to:

⚠️ Choose the Right Category!

Putting a listing in the wrong category means people won't be able to find it. For example, if you put "Tuition" under "Household Goods" instead of "Services", no one will find it. If you're confused, choose "🎭 Others".

Step 3: Take / Upload Photos

After selecting the category, the photo section will appear:

💡 Tips for Good Photos

Good lighting — take photos during the day, outside, in natural light.
Clean background — don't have too much clutter in the background.
Multiple angles — take 2–3 photos from the front, side, and close-up.
Real photos — don't use photos from the internet; use real photos of your own item.
Quality — don't use blurry photos — hold your hand steady.

💡 Photo Example — Ramesh bhai's buffalo

Ramesh bhai wants to sell his buffalo. He took 4 photos for a good listing:

  1. Full body of the buffalo — from the side (so the size is visible)
  2. Close-up from the front (so the condition is visible)
  3. While milking (so the buyer trusts that it gives milk)
  4. The buffalo's ear tag (if there's a government tag)

Step 4: Write (or Speak!) the Description

Now the description — tell what it is, what the condition is like, any special details.

There are two ways:

🗣️ Voice Description — Speak like this

"भैंस बिकाऊ है। मुर्रा नस्ल, 4 साल की उम्र। रोज़ 10 लीटर दूध देती है। एक बछड़ा है साथ में। दोनों की कीमत 80,000 रुपये। बात करना हो तो call करो।"

(Buffalo for sale. Murra breed, 4 years old. Gives 10 litres of milk daily. One calf included. Price for both: ₹80,000. Call if you want to talk.)

💡 What Makes a Good Description

Clear title — Not just "buffalo for sale", but "Murra buffalo for sale — 10 litres milk, 4 years" is better.
Give details — condition, age, size, quantity, reason for selling.
Be honest — if there's a defect, mention it. It builds trust.
Don't get too technical — use simple language, the way you'd talk in the village.

Step 5: Set the Price

⚠️ Don't Set the Price Too High or Too Low

If the price is too high, no one will look. If it's too low, you won't benefit. Check what rate is going in the market around you and set a realistic price.

Step 6: Set the Location

Step 7: Press "Publish"!

After filling everything in, press the "Publish" or "Post" button. That's it! Your listing is live! 🎉

What Happens After Publishing?

How to Edit or Delete a Listing?

Editing:

  1. Go to Profile → "My Listings".
  2. Tap the listing you want to edit.
  3. Tap the "Edit" option.
  4. Change whatever you need — price, description, photos.
  5. Press "Update".

Deleting:

  1. Same — open the listing → "Delete" option.
  2. Confirm — "Yes, delete it".
  3. The listing will be permanently deleted.
💡 Full Example — Sunita ji's Listing

Sunita ji is an SHG leader. She wants to sell mango pickle made by her group. Let's create the listing:

  1. Pressed "+"
  2. Category: 🍯 Handmade/Food → Home-made Food
  3. Photos: 3 photos of the pickle — jar close-up, label, packaging
  4. Title: "Homemade mango pickle — pure mustard oil"
  5. Description (spoken via voice): "This is made by the women of our SHG group. Made in pure mustard oil. 500g and 1 kg packs both available. We'll deliver ourselves within 10 km."
  6. Price: ₹150 (500g), Negotiable ✅
  7. Location: Automatic — Ganjbasoda, MP
  8. Pressed "Post" → Listing is live! 🎉
🎯 Now you try!
  1. Create a practice listing — for some old item in your house (like an old phone, a book, a tool).
  2. Take 3 photos — in good light, from different angles.
  3. Give the description via voice — see if the app writes it correctly.
  4. Set the price and location.
  5. Publish it, then edit it and change the price.
  6. Practice done? Delete it (so it doesn't stay as a fake listing).
📝 Homework — Chapter 6
  1. Create 3 real listings — for something you own or a service you offer. Each listing should have at least 3 photos and a detailed description.
  2. Help 2 people create listings (guide them on their phones). Note — where did they need help?
  3. Create one listing entirely by voice (don't type at all) — how long did it take?
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Which button do you press to create a listing?
→ The "+" (Add/Sell) button in the bottom bar
  2. Give 3 tips for good photos.
→ 1) Take them in natural light 2) Clean background 3) Take from multiple angles
  3. How can you give the description via voice?
→ Press the mic icon in the description field and speak — the app will automatically write it.
  4. How do you edit a listing after it's published?
→ Profile → My Listings → tap the listing → Edit → make changes → Update
Chapter 7

How Transactions Work

The listing is created, search is done — now how does the actual buying and selling happen? Let's understand the complete buyer-seller flow.

🎯 Why learn this?

People's biggest fear is — "How can I trust an online deal? How to pay? Will I get cheated?" If you can explain the transaction flow well, this fear will disappear.

Transaction Flow — Step by Step

A transaction on KaryoSetu follows a simple flow. Let's understand it with an example:

💡 Story — Dinesh needs a Plumber, Raju is a Plumber

Dinesh's tap is leaking at home. He searched "Plumber" on KaryoSetu. Raju's listing came up — "Plumber service — taps, tanks, pipeline, 5 years experience". Let's see what happens next...

Step 1: View the Listing

The buyer (Dinesh) opened the listing. On the listing page, he can see:

Step 2: Contact the Seller

The listing page has two buttons:

💡 Chat vs Call — When to Use Which

Chat is good: When you want to ask the rate, check availability, or request details.
Call is good: When the work is urgent, you need to discuss in detail, or fix an appointment right away.

Step 3: Negotiate

The buyer and seller talk — they agree on price, timing, and delivery/service details:

🗣️ Chat Conversation Example

Dinesh: "Bhai, the tap is leaking. When can you come?"
Raju: "I can come tomorrow morning at 10. Where should I come?"
Dinesh: "OK, I'll send you my address. How much will you charge?"
Raju: "Depends — if it's a small job, ₹200; if it's a big job, ₹400–500. Materials are extra."
Dinesh: "OK bhai, come tomorrow."

Step 4: Agreement on Price & Delivery/Service

Both agree on:

Step 5: Payment — How to Pay

Payment on KaryoSetu can happen in two ways:

Payment MethodHow It WorksWhen to Use
💵 COD (Cash on Delivery)Pay cash when you receive the goods / serviceWhen meeting directly, when trust is established
📱 UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, etc.)Online payment — via QR scan or UPI IDWhen advance payment is needed, when you don't have cash
⚠️ Safety Tips — While Making Payment

Never make full advance payment without seeing the goods or receiving the service.
Cash on Delivery is the safest — check the goods, then pay.
Always take a screenshot of UPI payments — for proof.
Tell the seller too — "Bhai, please send a payment screenshot for confirmation."

Step 6: Receive the Goods / Service

Delivery or service gets completed:

Step 7: Give a Review / Rating ⭐

After the transaction is complete, the app will show an option — "Rate this transaction" or "Give a Review":

💡 Why Reviews Matter

Reviews help the community — the next buyer gets to know if a seller is good or not. Good sellers get more business. Give honest reviews — neither unnecessary praise, nor unfair criticism.

💡 Full Transaction Example — Buying a Buffalo

Buyer — Kishan: Searched "buffalo for sale" → Found Ramesh bhai's listing (₹75,000) → Messaged: "Bhai, what condition is the buffalo in?" → Talked on a call → Kishan went to Ramesh bhai's village, saw the buffalo, checked the milk → Negotiated the price to ₹70,000 → Cash on Delivery (on the spot) → Kishan took the buffalo → Gave a 5-star review on the app: "Excellent buffalo, Ramesh bhai was completely honest about everything".

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open any listing — find the "Message" and "Call" buttons.
  2. Send a practice message to some seller (politely ask — "Is this still available?").
  3. After a transaction is complete, look for the option to give a review.
📝 Homework — Chapter 7
  1. Write the 7 steps of the transaction flow in your own words.
  2. What is the difference between COD and UPI — write in 2–3 lines.
  3. From the safety tips, pick the top 3 you think are most important — write them and give reasons.
  4. Note a real transaction experience (if you've had one) — who was the buyer/seller, how did the conversation happen, how was payment made.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. What are the 2 ways to contact a seller?
→ Message (in-app chat) and Call (direct phone call)
  2. What is the full form of COD?
→ Cash on Delivery — paying cash when you receive the goods
  3. Why is giving a review important?
→ It helps the community — future buyers learn whether the seller is good. Good sellers get more business.

Part C — Advanced Features

Voice features, Notifications, Profile management, and Saathi Dashboard

Chapter 8

Voice Features — Samjho Assistant

KaryoSetu's most special feature is voice — "You don't need to type — just speak!" In this chapter, we'll do a deep dive into voice features.

🎯 Why learn this?

Many people in villages find it difficult to type — some struggle with the English keyboard, some with the Hindi keyboard, some with spelling. Voice features solve all these problems. Once you teach this, people will say — "Wow, it's that easy!"

Voice Feature 1: Voice Search

We already covered this in Chapter 5, but here's a bit more depth:

How it works internally:

  1. You press the mic icon and speak — "Tractor chahiye"
  2. The app converts your voice to text (Speech-to-Text)
  3. Then it creates a search query from that text
  4. Shows the results

All of this happens in 2–3 seconds!

💡 Voice Search — What you can say
  • "Mujhe plumber chahiye" → Plumber listings
  • "Gehun ka rate" → Wheat listings with prices
  • "Koi electrician hai nearby" → Nearby electricians
  • "Purani bike chahiye 50 hazaar mein" → Bikes under 50K
  • "Shaadi ke liye tent wala" → Event/tent services
  • "Coaching classes Ganjbasoda" → Coaching listings in Ganjbasoda

Voice Feature 2: Voice Listing Creation

You can give the description via voice while creating a listing — this was covered in Chapter 6. But here are more details:

🗣️ Voice Listing Example — Speak like this

"Solar panel बिकाऊ है। 100 watt का है, 6 महीने पुराना। Luminous company का है। Warranty card भी है। Price 4,000 rupaye, thoda mol-bhav ho sakta hai। Delivery main khud kar dunga 15 kilometer tak।"

(Solar panel for sale. 100 watts, 6 months old. Luminous company. Warranty card included. Price ₹4,000, some negotiation possible. I'll deliver it myself up to 15 km.)

Voice Feature 3: Samjho AI Assistant

KaryoSetu has an AI assistant — "Samjho". It's a voice-based assistant that helps you:

What Samjho can do:

💡 Talking to Samjho — Examples

You: "Samjho, koi tractor milega kiraye pe?"
Samjho: "Haan ji! Aapke area mein 3 tractor kiraye pe available hain. Dikhata hoon..." → shows listings

You: "Samjho, meri listing ka price update karna hai"
Samjho: "Kaun si listing ka price badalna hai? Aapki 2 active listings hain..." → guides you

Language Switching

Voice features work in Hindi, Hinglish, and English. The app automatically detects which language you're speaking.

If you want to change the language:

  1. Profile → Settings → Language
  2. Select the new language
  3. The app may restart
⚠️ Voice Feature Not Working?

Check mic permission — Settings → Apps → KaryoSetu → Permissions → Microphone → Allow
Internet is needed — Voice features don't work without internet (speech-to-text processing happens on the server).
Reduce background noise — Accuracy drops in noisy environments.
Speak clearly — Speaking too fast or too slow reduces accuracy.

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Do 5 different voice searches — in both Hindi and Hinglish.
  2. Create a listing entirely by voice — give the description via voice after choosing the category.
  3. Activate Samjho assistant and talk to it — ask at least 3 different things.
  4. Teach voice search to an elderly person — observe their reaction!
📝 Homework — Chapter 8
  1. Voice search, voice listing, and Samjho assistant — what's the difference between these three? Write in your own words.
  2. Create 10 voice search queries — for different categories. Test them and note the accuracy (how many out of 10 gave correct results?).
  3. Teach the voice feature to someone who can't type. Write about the experience.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. What's needed for voice search to work?
→ 1) Mic permission 2) Internet connection 3) Press the mic icon 4) Speak clearly
  2. What is Samjho assistant?
→ KaryoSetu's AI voice assistant that helps with search, listing creation, and navigation — you can talk to it by speaking.
  3. While creating a voice listing, if the app writes something wrong, what will you do?
→ Tap the wrong word and edit it manually.
Chapter 9

Notifications, Seller Profile & Profile

After learning the app, it's important to manage your notifications, understand other sellers' profiles, and set up your own profile properly. This chapter is all about that.

Notifications — When, Why, How

Notifications are messages that the app sends you — they appear as popups on your phone, or inside the app under the bell (🔔) icon. KaryoSetu has many types of notifications — each one means something different.

🎯 Why learn this?

Notifications are your biggest connection to buyers/sellers. If you miss a notification, you might miss a customer. And if users don't know the notification types, they get confused — "What is this that keeps coming?" As a Saathi, you should be able to explain every notification type.

All Notification Types — In Detail:

Notification TypeWhen It ComesWhat to Do
📩 New InquirySomeone inquired about your listingReply immediately — the buyer is waiting!
💬 New MessageSomeone sent a message in chatOpen the message and reply
👀 Listing ViewedSomeone viewed your listingGood news — people are seeing your listing!
⭐ New ReviewSomeone gave you a reviewCheck it — if it's a good review, say thank you
📦 Order UpdateOrder status changed — confirmed, shipped, deliveredTrack the order, update the buyer/seller
🏛️ Scheme UpdateA new government scheme is available or eligibility changedCheck the Schemes section — there may be a chance to apply
⚖️ Dispute UpdateAn update on your disputeCheck dispute details, reply if needed
📢 PromotionalKaryoSetu offers, discounts, or special eventsRead it — there might be a good deal!
📢 App UpdateNew feature, offer, or update from KaryoSetuRead it — could be useful information
🎯 Saathi UpdateUpdates related to the Saathi DashboardCheck it — earnings, new features
🔔 Listing Alert MatchA listing matching your set alert has appearedView the listing — maybe what you were looking for has arrived!
💡 Quick Response = More Business

Sellers who reply quickly get more business. If an inquiry comes and you reply after 2 hours — the buyer may have already talked to someone else. Target: Reply within 15 minutes.

Notifications Page — /notifications

Pressing the bell icon (🔔) opens the Notifications page. All notifications are shown in a list here — latest first. Tap any notification — it will open the related page (e.g., tapping a message notification opens the chat, tapping an order update opens order details).

Understanding Notification Types — How to explain to users:

🗣️ While explaining notification types, say this

(Look bhai, different types of messages come from the app. If someone sent you a message, you'll see 💬 — reply right away. If an order update comes, you'll see 📦 — means your order is progressing. If a government scheme notification comes 🏛️ — definitely check it, there might be a scheme useful for you. And if a 🔔 listing alert comes — it means what you were looking for, someone has listed it! Just remember this much.)

Notification Settings — How to manage them:

  1. Profile → Settings → Notifications
  2. Here you can choose which notifications you want and which you don't:
⚠️ Don't Turn Off Notifications!

Some people say "Too many notifications" and turn everything off. Don't do that — at least keep Inquiry, Message, and Order Update notifications ON, otherwise you'll miss buyer messages or order updates. Keep Scheme Updates ON too — you might miss a government scheme benefit!

💡 Real Scenario — Got Work from a Notification

Situation: Raju the plumber listed his service on KaryoSetu. In the evening, a notification came — "📩 New Inquiry: Dinesh inquired about your 'Plumber Service' listing". Raju replied within 5 minutes, got the work the next day — earned ₹500.

If notifications were OFF: Raju would never have known, and Dinesh would have found another plumber.

Seller Profile — How to View and Understand Other Sellers

Every seller on KaryoSetu has a public profile. When you tap on any listing, the seller's name appears — tap on that name, and the seller profile will open.

🎯 Why is this important?

Before buying goods or taking a service from someone, it's important to check their profile — just like you'd ask about a shopkeeper before going to their shop. The Seller Profile tells you whether this person is trustworthy or not.

What's visible on a Seller Profile:

How to View a Seller Profile:

  1. Open any listing
  2. On the listing page, the seller's name/photo is shown — tap on it
  3. The Seller Profile page will open (/seller/:id)
  4. Check the Reviews tab for past reviews, the Listings tab for their other listings
💡 Example — Making a Decision from the Seller Profile

Situation: Sunita ji wants a used cycle for her son. Two listings came up — both for ₹2,000:

Seller A's profile: ⭐ 4.5 rating, 20 reviews ("Very good", "Delivered on time"), ✅ Aadhaar verified, member for 1 year

Seller B's profile: ⭐ No rating, 0 reviews, no verification, joined 2 days ago

Decision: Sunita ji bought from Seller A — a trusted seller!

🗣️ While explaining Seller Profile, say this

"भैया/बहनजी, किसी से कुछ खरीदने से पहले उसकी profile ज़रूर देखो। जैसे बाज़ार में किसी नई दुकान पर जाने से पहले पूछते हो 'ये दुकान कैसी है?' — वैसे ही app पर profile देखो। Stars कितने हैं? लोगों ने क्या लिखा है? Verified badge है? ये सब देखो — फिर decide करो।"

(Brother/Sister, always check someone's profile before buying from them. Just like you'd ask "How's this shop?" before going to a new shop in the market — check the profile on the app. How many stars? What have people written? Is there a verified badge? Look at all this — then decide.)

How to Follow a Seller:

On the Seller Profile page there's a "Follow" button. Press it — done! Now whenever that seller posts a new listing, you'll get a notification.

💡 When to Follow?

If you had a good experience with a seller — follow them. If a farmer regularly sells fresh vegetables — follow them, you'll get a notification each time. If a carpenter does good work — follow them, next time you need something you'll find them directly.

Profile — Your Digital Identity

The profile is the page that holds all your information — and what buyers/sellers see when they click on your listing.

What's in the Profile:

How to Edit Your Profile:

  1. Bottom bar → Profile tab (👤) tap
  2. Tap "Edit Profile"
  3. Change what you need — name, photo, location
  4. Press "Save"

My Listings — View All Your Listings

On the profile page there's a "My Listings" section. Here:

You can tap any listing to edit, delete, or renew it.

Transaction History

In the profile section there's also a "History" tab where your past transactions are shown — to whom you sold what, from whom you bought what, when, and for how much.

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Tap the notification bell (🔔) — how many notifications are there? What type?
  2. Open the profile page — check all the information. Is the photo added?
  3. Do "Edit Profile" — update the photo (if there isn't one, add a nice selfie).
  4. Check the "My Listings" section — how many active listings are there?
  5. Check notification settings — are Inquiry and Message ON?
📝 Homework — Chapter 9
  1. Fill in your profile completely — photo, name, location, everything.
  2. Make a list of all notification types (11 types) and write a real-life example for each type.
  3. Check 3 people's profiles — is their photo and location correct? Help them update.
  4. Look at 2 sellers' profiles — compare their rating, reviews, and verification badges. Who looks more trustworthy? Why?
  5. Follow one good seller and explain what benefit following gives.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Which 3 notification types are the most important (should never be turned OFF)?
→ New Inquiry, New Message, and Order Update — because these involve direct buyer/seller interaction and you might miss business.
  2. Why is adding a profile photo important?
→ It builds trust — the buyer/seller feels confident that it's a real person.
  3. Where is the transaction history shown?
→ In the Profile section → History tab.
  4. How do you view a Seller Profile?
→ Open a listing → tap on the seller's name/photo → the Seller Profile page will open.
  5. What things are visible on a Seller Profile? Name at least 5.
→ Photo, name/location, rating (stars), reviews, active listings, verification badges, member since date, follow button
  6. What happens when you follow a seller?
→ When that seller posts a new listing, you'll get a notification — so you don't miss out.
Chapter 10

Saathi Dashboard — Overview

So far we've learned the app's regular features — the ones available to every user. But you are a Setu Saathi — there's a special section just for you: Saathi Dashboard. This is your command centre!

🎯 Why learn this?

The Dashboard lets you track your performance, onboard people, and view your earnings. It's only visible to Setu Saathis — regular users can't see it.

Where to Find the Dashboard?

The Saathi Dashboard is inside the app itself, but is only visible to approved Setu Saathis:

  1. Go to the Profile tab (👤)
  2. If you're a registered Setu Saathi, you'll see a special option — "Saathi Dashboard"
  3. Tap it — the Dashboard will open!
⚠️ Dashboard Not Showing Up?

If the "Saathi Dashboard" option isn't visible, then:
• Your Setu Saathi registration isn't complete
• Update the app — the latest version is needed
• Contact Support

What the Dashboard Shows

1. "Onboard New User" Button — The Most Important!

The most prominent element on the Dashboard is a big button — "Onboard New User".

Tap it → A simple form/flow opens where you enter:

When that user downloads and registers on the app, they'll be linked to your account. Your "Users Onboarded" count will go up.

💡 Onboarding Flow — Step by Step

Let's say you're onboarding farmer Ramesh bhai:

  1. Dashboard → Tap "Onboard New User"
  2. Enter Ramesh bhai's phone number
  3. Enter the name: "Ramesh Yadav"
  4. Press "Submit"
  5. An SMS/link will be sent to Ramesh bhai's phone — to download the app
  6. When Ramesh bhai registers, he'll be added to your onboarded list
  7. Your "Users Onboarded" count: +1! 🎉

2. Earnings Tab — See Your Earnings 💰

The Dashboard has an "Earnings" tab that shows:

💡 How Do You Earn?

A Setu Saathi earns from multiple sources:
Per onboarding — incentive for every new user registered
Active user bonus — when onboarded users stay active (create listings, make transactions)
Milestone rewards — bonus for onboarding 10, 25, 50, 100 users
Details will come in Training Module 2.

3. Users Onboarded — How Many You've Added

A list shows all the users you've onboarded:

4. Training Materials — Keep Learning

The Dashboard has a "Training" section with:

5. Support Chat — Need Help?

The Dashboard has a "Help" / "Support" option. From here you can:

🗣️ While showing the Dashboard to someone, say this

"ये है आपका Saathi Dashboard — जैसे आपका office है! यहाँ से आप नए users जोड़ सकते हो — ये 'Onboard New User' button दबाओ। यहाँ आपकी कमाई दिखती है — कितना कमाया, कितना pending है। यहाँ आपके सारे onboarded users की list है। और यहाँ Training materials — videos और booklets — मिलेंगी। कोई problem हो तो Support chat है — सीधा team से बात करो।"

(This is your Saathi Dashboard — think of it as your office! From here you can add new users — press this 'Onboard New User' button. Here you can see your earnings — how much you've earned, how much is pending. Here's the list of all users you've onboarded. And here you'll find Training materials — videos and booklets. If there's any problem, there's a Support chat — talk directly to the team.)

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Saathi Dashboard — explore all the sections.
  2. Try the "Onboard New User" flow — enter a family member's number (or use practice mode if available).
  3. Check the Earnings tab — what shows up?
  4. Explore the Training materials section.
  5. Open the Support chat — send a test message (like "Hello, testing support").
📝 Homework — Chapter 10
  1. Write the names and functions of the 5 main sections of the Saathi Dashboard.
  2. Onboard at least 2 people (real onboarding!) — check in the Dashboard whether the count went up or not.
  3. Write the "Onboard New User" flow in your own words, in 5 steps.
  4. Ask a question through Support chat — e.g., "When do earnings get credited?"
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Where do you find the Saathi Dashboard?
→ Profile tab → "Saathi Dashboard" option
  2. What does the "Onboard New User" button do?
→ It starts the flow to register a new user — enter the user's number and name, and they get linked to your account.
  3. What does the Earnings tab show?
→ Total earnings, this month, pending amount, paid amount
  4. Dashboard not showing — give 2 possible reasons.
→ 1) Setu Saathi registration isn't complete 2) The app isn't on the latest version

Part D — Advanced Features

Groups, Family Accounts, Government Schemes, Transport, Favorites, and much more — know the full power of the app!

Chapter 11

Groups and Group Profiles

KaryoSetu isn't just for individuals — you can create groups too! If your village has an SHG (Self Help Group), a farmers' collective, a women's cooperative, or a youth club — it can also have a profile on KaryoSetu.

🎯 Why learn this?

In Indian villages, a lot of work happens in groups — SHGs, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), women's mandals. If these groups have listings on KaryoSetu, they'll get more customers and more visibility. As a Saathi, you should know how to create and manage groups.

What is a Group on KaryoSetu?

A Group is like a shared account — where more than one person can work together. For example:

How to Create a Group — Step by Step

Step 1: Go to the Groups Section

In the app, tap "Groups" from the menu or profile section. The Groups page (/groups) will open.

Step 2: Press "Create New Group"

Tap the "Create Group" button.

Step 3: Fill in Group Details

Step 4: Add Members

Use the "Add Members" option to add members to the group:

Step 5: Publish the Group

Press "Create" — the Group is now live!

💡 Example — Creating an SHG Group

Sunita ji wants to create a KaryoSetu group for her SHG "Jai Maa Durga Self Help Group":

  1. Groups → "Create New Group"
  2. Name: "Jai Maa Durga SHG — Ganjbasoda"
  3. Photo: Group photo of all the women
  4. Description (via voice): "We are 12 women from Ganjbasoda. We make pickles, papad, spices, and incense sticks at home. We've been working for 5 years. Pure desi products, we deliver to your home too."
  5. Category: Handicrafts/Food
  6. Members: Added 12 women — Sunita ji is Admin, rest are Members
  7. Now created a group listing — "Home-made Pickle — SHG Group" → ₹150/500g

Result: Now anyone who searches "pickle" will see the SHG group's listing — trust is higher because the group profile is visible!

Group Profile — /group-profile/:id

Every group has a public profile page — like a seller profile. It shows:

Group Chat — Communication Within the Group

Group members can chat with each other in a group chat — just like a WhatsApp group. You can use it for:

💡 Saathi Tip — Groups Create More Impact

A Group listing gets more trust than an individual listing. When a buyer sees "This is an SHG, 12 women are making this together" — they trust it more. As a Saathi, if there's any SHG or group in your area, definitely help them create a group profile!

⚠️ Group Admin Responsibility

The Group Admin should ensure that:
• Group listings are accurate — no false information
• Members don't post inappropriate content
• Customer messages are replied to quickly
• Group description stays updated

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Groups section — do you see any existing groups?
  2. Create a practice group — with your family members or friends.
  3. Add 2–3 members to the group.
  4. Send a message in the group chat.
  5. Create a listing for the group.
📝 Homework — Chapter 11
  1. Find an SHG, FPO, or cooperative group in your area. Meet them and discuss creating a KaryoSetu group.
  2. Write the 5 steps to create a group in your own words.
  3. What's the difference between a Group Profile and an Individual Profile — write in 3 points.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Where do you go to create a Group on KaryoSetu?
→ Menu / Profile → Groups → "Create New Group"
  2. What's the difference between a Group Admin and a Member?
→ Admin can manage everything (listings, members, settings), Member can view listings and chat.
  3. What's the advantage of a Group listing over an individual listing?
→ More trust is built, group profile is visible, looks more professional.
Chapter 12

Family Accounts — One Phone, Whole Family

In villages, often one phone is shared by the entire family — husband, wife, son, daughter — everyone uses the same phone. KaryoSetu's Family Accounts feature solves this problem!

🎯 Why learn this?

Many families don't have separate phones for everyone. If everyone uses the same account, listings, messages, and profiles all get mixed up. With Family Accounts, each family member has their own account — but all on the same phone! No hassle of logging out and in again.

What are Family Accounts?

The Family Accounts feature (/family-accounts) is an account switcher — just like switching channels on a TV remote, you can switch accounts on your phone. Without logging out, without OTP, just 2 taps!

How it works:

How to Add a Family Account

  1. Profile → "Family Accounts" tap
  2. Press "Add Family Member"
  3. Enter the family member's name
  4. Enter their phone number (or the same number also works)
  5. Verify OTP (if it's a new number)
  6. Set up the member's profile — photo, location
  7. Done! Account is added!

How to Switch Accounts

  1. Tap the profile icon (top or bottom bar)
  2. On the profile page, your name is shown at the top — next to it there's a dropdown arrow (▼)
  3. Tap the arrow — a list of all family members will appear
  4. Tap the name of the member whose account you want to use
  5. The app switches instantly — now that member's profile, listings, and messages are shown
💡 Example — Ramesh bhai's Family

Situation: Ramesh bhai's family has one Android phone. Ramesh bhai is a farmer — he sells his crops. His wife Sunita ji makes pickles in an SHG. Son Rahul is a student — wants to sell old books.

Solution — Family Accounts:

  1. Ramesh bhai's main account — farming/agriculture listings
  2. Sunita ji's family account — pickle, papad listings
  3. Rahul's family account — books, student services

Now: Sunita ji wants to see her pickle listing → Profile → Switch → "Sunita" → her listings appear. Rahul wants to create a book listing → Switch → "Rahul" → his account is active. All on one phone, no confusion!

🗣️ While explaining Family Accounts, say this

"भैया, ये feature बहुत काम का है! देखो, जैसे WhatsApp में एक ही phone पर एक ही account चलता है ना — यहाँ ऐसा नहीं। एक phone पर पूरे परिवार के अलग-अलग accounts चला सकते हो। बस ये button दबाओ — अपने बेटे का account दिख जाएगा, पत्नी का account दिख जाएगा। किसी को logout नहीं करना, कोई OTP नहीं डालना — बस 2 tap!"

(Brother, this feature is super useful! See, on WhatsApp you can only run one account per phone — here it's not like that. You can run the whole family's separate accounts on one phone. Just press this button — your son's account shows up, your wife's account shows up. No need to logout anyone, no need to enter OTP — just 2 taps!)

⚠️ Keep in Mind

• Each member's data is separate in family accounts — one member can't read another's messages (privacy).
• Only the main account holder can add/remove new members.
• If the phone is lost, keep all accounts' security in mind — always keep a phone lock on.

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Family Accounts section (/family-accounts).
  2. Add a family member's account (enter someone's name and details).
  3. Switch accounts — see how the profile and listings all change.
  4. Switch back to your own account.
📝 Homework — Chapter 12
  1. Who is the Family Accounts feature most useful for? Write 3 scenarios.
  2. Write the steps to switch accounts in your own words.
  3. Teach this feature to a family — note their experience.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Why was the Family Accounts feature created?
→ Because in villages, often one phone is shared by the whole family. This lets each member have their own account on the same phone.
  2. What do you need to do to switch accounts?
→ Tap the profile icon → press the dropdown arrow (▼) next to your name → choose the family member → switch!
  3. What's the difference between the main account holder and a family member account?
→ The main account holder can add/remove new members, family members cannot.
Chapter 13

Referral System — Invite Friends, Earn Rewards

KaryoSetu has a Referral System — if you bring a friend, neighbour, or relative onto the app, both you and they get rewards!

🎯 Why learn this?

The Referral System has two benefits — one, more people in your area will come on the app (making the marketplace stronger). Two, you and the new user both get rewards. As a Saathi, this is even more important for you — more referrals = bigger community, more earnings!

What is the Referral System?

Every KaryoSetu user gets a unique referral link/code. When someone downloads the app via this link and registers, then:

Where to Find Your Referral Link

  1. In the app, go to Profile → "Referrals" section (/referrals)
  2. Here you'll see your unique referral link — like: https://karyosetu.com/r/RAMESH123
  3. And a referral code too — like: RAMESH123

How to Share Your Referral Link

Method 1: Share Button

On the Referral page, press the "Share" button → Choose where to share — WhatsApp, SMS, Facebook.

Method 2: Send Directly

Copy the link (long press → copy) → Paste it in a WhatsApp message → Send!

Method 3: Tell the Referral Code

Tell the person directly — "Download the app, and during registration put 'RAMESH123' in the Referral Code field."

💡 Example — Ramesh bhai referred 5 people

Ramesh bhai sent his referral link to 5 people in his village via WhatsApp:

  1. Dinesh (farmer) — downloaded, registered → Ramesh bhai got ₹50 credit
  2. Suresh (electrician) — registered → ₹50 credit
  3. Kamla Devi (SHG) — registered → ₹50 credit
  4. Mohan (shopkeeper) — registered → ₹50 credit
  5. Priya (student) — registered → ₹50 credit

Total: Ramesh bhai got ₹250 credit! And everyone got a welcome bonus too!

🗣️ While explaining the Referral System, say this

"भैया, KaryoSetu में एक बढ़िया scheme है — अगर आप अपने दोस्तों को app पर लाओ, तो आपको और उनको दोनों को इनाम मिलेगा! बस ये link भेज दो WhatsApp पर — जब वो download करके register करेगा, तो आपके account में credit आ जाएगा। जितने ज़्यादा लोगों को बताओगे, उतना ज़्यादा फायदा!"

(Brother, KaryoSetu has a great scheme — if you bring your friends onto the app, both you and they will get rewards! Just send this link on WhatsApp — when they download and register, credit will come to your account. The more people you tell, the more you benefit!)

How to Track Referral Progress

The Referrals page (/referrals) shows:

💡 Saathi + Referral = Double Power!

As a Setu Saathi, you earn from onboarding as well as referrals! They're two different things — Onboarding is through the Dashboard, Referrals are through the link. Use both — maximum benefit!

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Referrals section — find your referral link and code.
  2. Use the Share button to share the link on WhatsApp (to a friend).
  3. Check the referral page for progress — any pending referrals?
📝 Homework — Chapter 13
  1. Send your referral link to 5 people. Track how many registered.
  2. Write 3 benefits of the Referral System in your own words.
  3. "How to use a Referral Code" — explain step-by-step to someone.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Where do you find the referral link?
→ Profile → Referrals section — you get both a unique link and a code.
  2. Name 3 ways to share a referral link.
→ 1) Share button (WhatsApp/SMS) 2) Copy-paste the link 3) Tell the referral code directly
  3. Who benefits from a referral?
→ Both — the referrer (you) and the new user (who joins) — both get rewards/bonus.
Chapter 14

Government Schemes

KaryoSetu isn't just a buying-selling app — it also provides information about government schemes! PM Kisan, Ujjwala, Ayushman Bharat, Mudra Loan — there are many schemes that village people don't even know about. KaryoSetu fills this gap.

🎯 Why learn this?

Many people in villages are unaware of government schemes — they don't even know which scheme is for them. As a Saathi, if you tell people about schemes and help them apply — you'll become very valuable to them. People's trust will grow, the community will become stronger.

Where is the Schemes Section?

The app has a "Schemes" or "Government Schemes" section (/schemes). You can access it from the Home Screen or the menu.

What the Schemes Section Shows

1. List of Available Schemes

All available government schemes listed category-wise:

2. Scheme Detail Page

Tap any scheme — a detail page opens showing:

3. Eligibility Check — "Will I qualify?"

Some schemes have an automatic eligibility check — the app will ask simple questions (income, family size, category, location) and tell you whether this scheme is for you or not.

💡 Example — Telling Ramesh bhai about PM Kisan

Situation: Ramesh bhai is a farmer with 3 acres of land. He doesn't know about PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

  1. Setu Saathi told him: "Bhai, open the Schemes section in KaryoSetu"
  2. Schemes → Agriculture Schemes → PM Kisan Samman Nidhi
  3. Detail page: "₹6,000 per year directly to your account — in 3 instalments"
  4. Eligibility check: Income under ₹2 lakh, land under 5 acres — "You are eligible!" ✅
  5. Apply section: "Go to your nearest CSC center" / "Apply online — take these documents: Aadhaar, Khasra-Khatoni, bank passbook"

Result: Ramesh bhai applied, and 4 months later the first instalment of ₹2,000 came! 🎉

🗣️ While explaining the Schemes section, say this

"भैया/बहनजी, KaryoSetu में बहुत सारी सरकारी योजनाओं की जानकारी है — PM Kisan, Ujjwala, Ayushman — सब। बस ये Schemes वाला section खोलो — सब दिख जाएगा। हर scheme में बताया है कि किसको मिलेगा, कैसे apply करना है, क्या documents चाहिए। आपको कहीं जाने की ज़रूरत नहीं — सब एक जगह!"

(Brother/Sister, KaryoSetu has information about lots of government schemes — PM Kisan, Ujjwala, Ayushman — all of them. Just open this Schemes section — everything will appear. Each scheme tells you who'll get it, how to apply, what documents are needed. No need to go anywhere — everything in one place!)

💡 Saathi Power Tip — Run a Scheme Camp!

As a Setu Saathi, you can organize a "Scheme Awareness Camp" in your village. Gather 10–15 people, show the KaryoSetu app, tell them about every scheme they're eligible for. This is very impactful — people will start seeing you not just as a "helper", but as a "lifeline"!

⚠️ Be Careful While Applying for Schemes

• The app only provides information and eligibility checks — actual applications are usually done on government portals or at CSC centers.
Don't charge money from anyone for helping them apply — these are free government services.
Documents must be correct — wrong documents can get the application rejected.
Check deadlines — some schemes have deadlines.

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Schemes section — how many schemes are visible?
  2. Read the detail page of at least 3 schemes.
  3. Try the Eligibility Check — enter your details for some scheme.
  4. Check a family member's eligibility — is any scheme for them?
📝 Homework — Chapter 14
  1. Write the names and one-line descriptions of 5 schemes available in the KaryoSetu Schemes section.
  2. Which 3 schemes are most useful in your area? Why?
  3. Check 2 people's eligibility — who can get which scheme? Tell them.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Where is the Schemes section in KaryoSetu?
→ Home Screen / Menu → "Schemes" or "Government Schemes"
  2. What does the Eligibility Check do?
→ Asks simple questions and tells you whether this scheme is for you or not.
  3. Can you apply for a scheme directly from the app?
→ The app provides information and eligibility checks — actual applications are usually done on government portals or at CSC centers.
Chapter 15

Rides and Transport Booking

KaryoSetu isn't just about buying and selling — you can also book rides and goods transport! Can't find an auto in the village? Need an e-rickshaw? Need to send goods from one village to another? All of this can be done via KaryoSetu.

🎯 Why learn this?

Public transport is very limited in villages. Often people can't find a ride to the hospital, market, or school. Farmers can't find a vehicle to take their crop to the mandi. KaryoSetu's Rides and Transport feature solves these problems. As a Saathi, this is a very useful feature — tell people about it!

Rides — Book a Ride

From the Rides section (/rides), you can book an auto, e-rickshaw, bike taxi, or shared vehicle.

How to Book a Ride:

  1. Open the "Rides" section in the app
  2. Enter Pickup Location — where you want to go from (automatic via GPS or type it)
  3. Enter Drop Location — where you want to go
  4. Choose Vehicle Type — Auto, E-rickshaw, Bike, Shared
  5. Estimated Fare will appear — how much it'll cost
  6. Press "Book Ride"
  7. A nearby driver will get a notification — when the driver accepts → you'll get a confirmation
  8. The driver's name, photo, vehicle number, and phone number will appear
💡 Example — Sunita ji needs to go to the hospital

Situation: Sunita ji's child has a fever. No auto is available in the evening. The hospital is 8 km away.

  1. KaryoSetu → Rides → Pickup: her village → Drop: Community Health Center
  2. Vehicle: Auto → Estimated Fare: ₹120
  3. Pressed "Book Ride"
  4. Ramlal the auto driver accepted in 5 minutes → they reached in 10 minutes!

Transport — Book Goods Transport

From the Transport section (/transport), you can book goods transport — send crops, furniture, goods anywhere.

How to Book Transport:

  1. Open the "Transport" section
  2. Enter Pickup Location and Drop Location
  3. What are the goods — describe (crops, furniture, general goods, etc.)
  4. Weight/Size — give an estimate (how many quintals, how many items)
  5. Vehicle Type — Tempo, Pickup, Truck, Tractor-trolley
  6. Estimated Cost will appear
  7. Press "Book Transport"
  8. A nearby transporter will get the request → once accepted, you'll get the details
💡 Example — Farmer Ramesh bhai's crop to the mandi

Ramesh bhai has 20 quintals of wheat ready — the mandi is 25 km away.

  1. KaryoSetu → Transport → Pickup: his field → Drop: Ganjbasoda Mandi
  2. Goods: Wheat, 20 quintals → Vehicle: Tractor-trolley
  3. Estimated Cost: ₹800 → Pressed "Book Transport"
  4. Mohan bhai (tractor-trolley owner) accepted → will come tomorrow morning at 6 AM

How to Track Bookings

After booking a Ride or Transport, you can track it:

⚠️ Safety Tips — For Rides/Transport

Share booking details with a family member — send the driver's name and vehicle number.
Pay by Cash or UPI — don't make full advance payment.
• For goods transport, take photos at both loading and unloading time.
• If the driver seems suspicious — cancel and book another.

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Rides section — are any drivers available in your area?
  2. Check the Transport section — what types of vehicles are available?
  3. Try a practice booking (you can cancel it later).
📝 Homework — Chapter 15
  1. What's the difference between Rides and Transport? Write in 3 points.
  2. In your area, which is needed more — Rides or Transport? Why?
  3. Do a real ride booking (if drivers are available) and note the experience.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. What can you book from the Rides section?
→ Auto, E-rickshaw, Bike taxi, Shared vehicle — rides
  2. What is the Transport section for?
→ Goods transport — sending crops, furniture, goods from one place to another.
  3. After booking a ride, what driver details are shown?
→ Driver's name, photo, vehicle number, phone number, and booking status
Chapter 16

Favorites and Listing Alerts

Sometimes you see a listing — you like it, but don't want to buy right now. Or you need something that isn't available yet. For both situations, KaryoSetu has two great features — Favorites and Listing Alerts!

🎯 Why learn this?

Both these features keep users "engaged" — they give people a reason to keep coming back to the app. Favorites let people save listings to view later, and Alerts automatically find what they need. As a Saathi, teaching these features is important — users will stay more active!

Favorites — Save Listings You Like ❤️

The Favorites feature (/favorites) lets you save/bookmark any listing — to look at later.

How to Favorite a listing:

  1. Open any listing
  2. On the listing page there's a ❤️ heart icon (top right or near the title)
  3. Tap the heart icon — it'll turn red → Listing saved!
  4. Tap again — unsave (removed from favorites)

Where to see Saved Favorites:

  1. Profile → "Favorites" section (/favorites)
  2. All your saved listings will be listed here
  3. Tap any one — the listing page will open
💡 Example — Sunita ji used Favorites

Sunita ji is looking for a used cycle for her son. 5 listings came up — all are good.

  1. First listing: "Hero Cycle — ₹1,800" → ❤️ tap → Saved!
  2. Second listing: "Atlas Cycle — ₹2,000" → ❤️ tap → Saved!
  3. Third listing: "Firefox — ₹2,500" → ❤️ tap → Saved!

She went home and asked her husband: "There are three options — which one should we get?" → Opened Favorites → showed all three → decided on the Hero Cycle! 🎉

🗣️ While explaining Favorites, say this

"बहनजी, जैसे दुकान पर सामान देखते हो और बोलते हो 'ये side रखो, बाद में लूँगी' — बिल्कुल वैसे ही app में भी कर सकते हो! कोई listing अच्छी लगे तो ये दिल (❤️) वाला button दबा दो — save हो जाएगी। बाद में जब चाहो देख लो — Favorites में सब मिलेगा।"

(Sister, just like at a shop you look at items and say 'Keep this aside, I'll take it later' — you can do exactly the same in the app! If you like any listing, just press this heart (❤️) button — it'll get saved. View it whenever you want later — you'll find everything in Favorites.)

Listing Alerts — Tell the App "I Need This", It'll Find It! 🔔

Listing Alerts (/alerts) is a smart feature — if you need something that isn't available on the app right now, set an alert. When a matching listing appears, the app will send you a notification!

How to Set an Alert:

  1. Go to the "Alerts" section in the app (/alerts)
  2. Press "New Alert"
  3. What you need — type or speak via voice (e.g., "Plumber", "used cycle", "buffalo")
  4. Category — choose (optional)
  5. Price Range — set (optional — e.g., ₹1,000 to ₹5,000)
  6. Distance — set (how many km — e.g., 20 km)
  7. Press "Save Alert"

Done! Now whenever a matching listing is posted — you'll get a 🔔 notification!

💡 Example — Dinesh needs a Plumber but none are listed

Situation: Dinesh searched "Plumber" — no results (no plumber in his area is listed yet).

  1. Set an alert: "Plumber" → Category: Services → Distance: 15 km
  2. 2 days later — Raju (a plumber) created his listing
  3. Dinesh got a notification: "🔔 New listing matching your alert: Plumber Service — 8 km away"
  4. Dinesh immediately contacted him — work done!

Without an Alert: Dinesh would have had to manually search every day. The alert did the work automatically!

How to Manage Alerts:

On the Alerts page, all your active alerts are shown. For any alert, you can:

💡 Saathi Tip — Alerts are Super Useful!

When a user says "I need this thing but it's not available right now" — help them set an Alert! It keeps users connected to the app, and when a matching listing comes, the user automatically comes back. Win-win!

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Save a listing to ❤️ Favorites — then go to the Favorites section and check it.
  2. Open the Alerts section — set a new alert (like "Solar Panel" or "Milk").
  3. Change the alert settings — increase the distance or change the price range.
📝 Homework — Chapter 16
  1. Save 5 listings to Favorites — then access them from the Favorites section.
  2. Set 3 different alerts (for different things). Check after 1 week — how many alerts got a notification?
  3. What's the difference between Favorites and Alerts? Explain in your own words.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Which icon do you press to Favorite a listing?
→ ❤️ Heart icon — on the listing page, top right or near the title
  2. What does a Listing Alert do?
→ If what you need isn't available now, set an alert — when a matching listing comes, you'll get a notification.
  3. What's the difference between Favorites and Alerts?
→ Favorites: saving existing listings (that are currently visible). Alerts: setting notifications for future listings (that don't exist yet).
Chapter 17

People Discovery — Find People

On KaryoSetu you can search for more than just goods and services — you can find people too! The People Discovery feature (/people) lets you find service providers, shopkeepers, farmers, and skilled people in your area.

🎯 Why learn this?

Sometimes people need a specific person — "Is there a good carpenter?" "Is there a tuition teacher?" Search shows listings, but the People section directly shows people's profiles — their skills, ratings, location all in one place. As a Saathi, this feature is useful to share — especially for finding service providers.

What is the People Section?

The People section (/people) is a directory — just like the village panchayat has a list of who does what work — this is a digital version of that.

How to Find People:

  1. Open the "People" section in the app
  2. Search — type or speak what type of person you need (like "Plumber", "Teacher", "Farmer")
  3. Filter by Skills — find by specific skills (Electrician, Carpenter, Tailoring, etc.)
  4. Filter by Location — how many km away to show people
  5. Browse — simply scroll and see registered people in your area

What a Person's Profile Shows:

💡 Example — Finding a Carpenter

Situation: Mohan bhai wants to get an almira made at home. He needs a good carpenter.

  1. People → Search: "Carpenter" → Filter: 20 km → 4 results came up
  2. First carpenter's profile: ⭐ 4.8 rating, 15 reviews, "Great work, did it on time" ✅ Verified
  3. Second carpenter: ⭐ 3.5 rating, 5 reviews
  4. Mohan bhai messaged the first carpenter → asked the rate → fixed the work!
🗣️ While explaining People Discovery, say this

"भैया, मान लो आपको कोई Electrician चाहिए — पहले क्या करते थे? पड़ोसियों से पूछते थे, 'कोई electrician जानते हो?' अब KaryoSetu पर ये People वाला section खोलो — बस 'Electrician' type करो — आपके area के सारे registered electricians दिख जाएँगे, उनकी rating के साथ! सीधा call या message करो।"

(Brother, say you need an Electrician — what would you do before? Ask neighbours, 'Do you know any electrician?' Now open this People section on KaryoSetu — just type 'Electrician' — all registered electricians in your area will show up, with their ratings! Directly call or message them.)

💡 Saathi Tip — Register Service Providers!

All the skilled people in your village — plumber, electrician, carpenter, painter, tutor — get them all registered on KaryoSetu and add their skills to their profile. The more service providers are registered, the more useful the People section becomes!

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the People section — how many people are registered in your area?
  2. Search for "Plumber" or "Teacher" — any results?
  3. Look at someone's profile — what information is shown?
📝 Homework — Chapter 17
  1. Search for 5 different skills in the People section — how many results did you get for each?
  2. Get 3 service providers in your area to register and add their skills to their profile.
  3. What's the difference between People Discovery and regular Search? Explain in 2 points.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. What is the People Section used for?
→ To find people — service providers, shopkeepers, farmers, skilled people — search by skills, location, rating.
  2. What's the difference between People search and regular Search?
→ Regular Search: finds listings (products/services). People Search: finds people's profiles — their skills, ratings, verification.
Chapter 18

Academy — Learn Inside the App

KaryoSetu has an Academy section (/academy) — where video courses are available! How to use the app, how to grow your business, digital literacy, and much more — learn it all right inside the app.

🎯 Why learn this?

Learning should never stop! The Academy section empowers users — those who learn, move ahead. As a Saathi, if any user is having difficulty using the app, recommend Academy courses — it's self-learning and very effective!

What's Available in the Academy?

The Academy section has different courses — each course may have videos, text, and quizzes:

Track Your Progress:

In the Academy section there's a "My Courses" tab — where your enrolled courses and their progress are shown:

💡 Example — Kamla Devi did the Digital Literacy Course

Situation: Kamla Devi doesn't know how to use a smartphone properly. She can't make UPI payments.

  1. Setu Saathi told her: "Didi, open the Academy — there's a Digital Literacy course"
  2. Enrolled in the course — 8 short videos (5–10 min each)
  3. Lesson 1: Smartphone basics — screen lock, apps, settings
  4. Lesson 2: Using WhatsApp
  5. Lesson 3: Google Pay / UPI — how to make payments
  6. ...Completed the course in 2 weeks!
  7. Now Kamla Devi can make UPI payments on her own — "It was so easy, I learned from videos!" 🎉
💡 Saathi Tip — Recommend the Academy!

When a user says "I don't know how to use the app properly" — recommend the App Training course in the Academy. When a farmer says "I want to learn organic farming" — tell them about the Agriculture Tips course. It's self-paced learning — at their own time, at their own speed!

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Academy section — how many courses are available?
  2. Enroll in one course — watch the first video.
  3. Check the "My Courses" tab — is your progress showing?
📝 Homework — Chapter 18
  1. Make a list of available courses in the Academy — write one line about each course.
  2. Start at least 1 course and complete it to 50%.
  3. Recommend an Academy course to a user — based on their need.

  1. What's available in the Academy section?
→ Video courses — App training, Business skills, Digital literacy, Agriculture tips, Saathi training
  2. Where do you check course progress?
→ Academy → "My Courses" tab — progress bar, next lesson, certificate status
  3. What do you get after completing a course?
→ You may get a certificate — download it and show it off!
Chapter 19

Verification and Certification

The biggest question on an online marketplace is — "How can I trust this person?" KaryoSetu solves this with its Verification and Certification system. Verified users get trust badges, and skilled people get certificates!

🎯 Why learn this?

Trust is huge in villages — people hesitate to deal with strangers. If a seller's profile shows "✅ Aadhaar Verified" or "🏅 Certified Plumber" badge, the buyer's confidence grows. As a Saathi, helping people get verified and telling them about certificates is very important.

Verification — "This is a Real Person" ✅

Verification means — the app confirms that this is a real person, not a fake account. The Verification section (/verification) has these options:

Verification Types:

Verification TypeHow It's DoneWhat Badge You Get
📱 Phone VerifiedAutomatic when you register with OTP✅ Phone Verified
🆔 Aadhaar VerifiedVerify with Aadhaar number and OTP✅ Aadhaar Verified — strongest trust!
📸 Photo VerifiedUpload a selfie — AI checks that it's a real person✅ Photo Verified
📍 Address VerifiedUpload address proof (like ration card, electricity bill)✅ Address Verified

How to Verify:

  1. Profile → "Verification" (/verification)
  2. Tap the verification you want to do (e.g., Aadhaar Verified)
  3. Provide the required information — Aadhaar number, OTP, selfie, etc.
  4. Submit — the verification process will start
  5. Once verified, a badge will appear on your profile!
💡 Example — Ramesh bhai got Aadhaar Verified

Ramesh bhai is a farmer — posts many listings but gets few inquiries.

  1. Saathi told him: "Bhai, get your Aadhaar verified — buyers will trust you more"
  2. Profile → Verification → Aadhaar Verified → entered Aadhaar number → OTP came → Verified!
  3. Now Ramesh bhai's profile shows: ✅ Aadhaar Verified
  4. Result: Inquiries went up by 40% — buyers say "He's Aadhaar verified, trustworthy!"

Certification — "This is a Skilled Person" 🏅

The Certification section (/certification) is for service providers — Plumber, Electrician, Carpenter, etc. If someone has a skill certificate (ITI, government training, etc.), they can upload it — and a certified badge will appear on their profile.

How to Upload a Certificate:

  1. Profile → "Certification" (/certification)
  2. Tap "Add Certificate"
  3. Select the skill — Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Tailoring, etc.
  4. Upload a certificate photo — ITI certificate, training certificate, government card, etc.
  5. Submit — KaryoSetu team will review it
  6. Once approved, a 🏅 Certified badge will appear on the profile!
💡 Example — Raju the Plumber got Certified

Raju the plumber did a plumbing course from ITI — he has the certificate.

  1. Certification → Add Certificate → Skill: Plumbing → Uploaded ITI certificate photo
  2. Reviewed in 2–3 days → Approved! ✅
  3. Now Raju's profile shows: "🏅 Certified Plumber" → More customers contact him
  4. Raju says: "Earlier people would ask 'Do you know the work?' — now the certificate shows so they call directly!"
🗣️ While explaining Verification/Certification, say this

"भैया, ये verify करवा लो — बिल्कुल free है। जैसे बैंक में KYC करवाते हो, वैसे ही ये Aadhaar verify है। इससे आपकी profile पर एक हरा ✅ badge आ जाएगा — लोग देखेंगे कि ये verified इंसान है, भरोसा बढ़ेगा, और ज़्यादा customers आएँगे। और अगर आपके पास कोई certificate है — ITI, training — तो वो भी upload करो, Certified badge मिलेगा!"

(Brother, get this verified — it's completely free. Just like KYC at a bank, this is Aadhaar verification. A green ✅ badge will appear on your profile — people will see you're a verified person, trust will grow, and more customers will come. And if you have any certificate — ITI, training — upload that too, you'll get a Certified badge!)

⚠️ Keep in Mind

• In Aadhaar verification, your Aadhaar data stays safe — KaryoSetu only verifies, doesn't store it.
Don't upload fake certificates — that's fraud and can get your account banned.
• Certificate review can take 2–3 days — be patient.

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Verification section — what verifications are available?
  2. Try Aadhaar verification (if you're comfortable).
  3. Check the Certification section — what skills are listed?
  4. Tell a service provider about Certification.
📝 Homework — Chapter 19
  1. What's the difference between Verification and Certification? Write in your own words.
  2. Tell 3 service providers in your area about Certification and help them upload.
  3. How does a buyer's experience differ between a verified profile and a non-verified profile? Write about it.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. How many types of Verification does KaryoSetu have?
→ 4 types: Phone Verified, Aadhaar Verified, Photo Verified, Address Verified
  2. Who is Certification for?
→ For service providers — Plumber, Electrician, Carpenter and similar skilled people who have an ITI/training certificate.
  3. Why is Aadhaar Verification the most important?
→ It's verified with a government ID — the strongest trust badge, buyers' confidence increases the most.
Chapter 20

Offline Mode — Works Without Internet

Internet isn't always available in villages — the network comes and goes. But KaryoSetu understands this problem! The app has an Offline Mode — you can do some work without internet, and when internet comes back, everything will automatically sync.

🎯 Why learn this?

This is perhaps the most important feature for rural users. Many people don't use the app because "there's no internet". If you can tell them "Bhai, you can create a listing without internet too, it'll upload automatically later" — many people will start using the app!

How Does Offline Mode Work?

When there's no internet on your phone (no network, no WiFi), the app:

1. Shows an Offline Banner

A banner/bar appears at the top of the screen — "📡 You are offline" or "No Internet Connection". This tells you that there's no internet right now.

2. Saves to Queue

Whatever work you do — creating a listing, sending a message, updating your profile — it all gets saved in the phone (in a queue). Like a postman collects letters and delivers them later — the app collects your work in the same way.

3. Auto-Sync — Uploads Automatically When Internet Returns!

As soon as the internet connection comes back — the app automatically syncs all queued data:

You don't need to do anything extra — it's all automatic!

What You Can and Can't Do Offline:

TaskOffline?How
Create a listing✅ YesCreate it — stays in queue, publishes when internet comes
Type a message✅ YesWrite it — sends when internet comes
Edit profile✅ YesEdit it — saves when internet comes
View previously loaded listings✅ YesListings already loaded will still show
Do a new search❌ NoInternet needed — data has to come from the server
Voice search❌ NoSpeech-to-text processing happens on the server
Browse new listings❌ NoInternet needed — data has to come from the server
💡 Example — Farmer's Offline Listing

Situation: Ramesh bhai is at the farm — no network there. But he needs to create a listing for his crop.

  1. Opened the app — banner at top: "📡 You are offline"
  2. Pressed "+" and created a listing — took photos, spoke the description, set the price
  3. Pressed "Publish" — message appeared: "✅ Listing is in queue — will publish when internet comes"
  4. Came home in the evening — got WiFi — listing automatically published in 2 seconds!
  5. Notification came: "Your listing 'Wheat 10 quintals' has been published! 🎉"
🗣️ While explaining Offline Mode, say this

"भैया, बहुत लोग बोलते हैं 'हमारे गाँव में network नहीं है, app कैसे चलेगा?' — बोलो, KaryoSetu बिना internet के भी चलता है! बस listing बनाओ, message लिखो — phone में save हो जाएगा। जब network आएगा — अपने-आप upload हो जाएगा। बिल्कुल जैसे letter लिखते हो और बाद में post office में डालते हो — same concept!"

(Brother, many people say 'There's no network in our village, how will the app work?' — tell them, KaryoSetu works without internet too! Just create a listing, write a message — it'll save on the phone. When network comes — it'll upload automatically. Just like writing a letter and posting it at the post office later — same concept!)

⚠️ Offline Mode Limitations

New search won't work offline — internet is needed.
Voice features won't work offline.
• If too much data is kept in the queue, phone storage may fill up — so sync regularly with internet.
Real-time messages won't be delivered offline — they'll be sent later.

💡 Saathi Power Tip — Tell People About Offline Mode!

Telling people about this feature will get many people using the app who previously refused by saying "no internet". Offline mode + voice features = the perfect combination for villages!

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Turn off your phone's internet (Airplane mode ON).
  2. Open the KaryoSetu app — is the Offline banner showing?
  3. Create a practice listing offline.
  4. Turn internet back ON — did the listing automatically publish?
📝 Homework — Chapter 20
  1. What can and can't you do in Offline mode — make a list in two columns.
  2. Try Offline mode — create a listing without internet, then let it sync. Write about the experience.
  3. "How will the app work without internet?" — answer this question in 3 different ways.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. What does the Offline banner tell you?
→ "You are offline" — there's no internet connection right now.
  2. When will a listing created offline get published?
→ When the internet connection comes back — it'll publish automatically.
  3. Why doesn't voice search work in Offline mode?
→ Speech-to-text processing happens on the server — internet is required for that.
Chapter 21

Digital Saathi — AI Helper

KaryoSetu has an AI-powered assistant — Digital Saathi (/digital-saathi). It's your digital guide — helping you navigate the app, understand features, and solve problems.

🎯 Why learn this?

Many users have difficulty using the app — "Where's this button?", "How do I create a listing?", "How do I apply for a scheme?". Digital Saathi answers these questions — in real-time, right inside the app. As a Saathi, when you're not available, Digital Saathi can help users!

Digital Saathi vs Samjho — What's the Difference?

Both are AI assistants, but they do different things:

FeatureSamjho (Chapter 8)Digital Saathi
Main jobVoice search — speak, find thingsGuided help — step-by-step guide
How to usePress the mic icon and speakOpen the Digital Saathi section
Examples"Tractor chahiye" → shows listings"How do I create a listing?" → explains step-by-step
FocusSearch and discoveryApp navigation and learning

How to Use Digital Saathi:

  1. Open the "Digital Saathi" section (/digital-saathi) — or press the floating help button
  2. A chat-like interface opens — like a WhatsApp chat
  3. Type your question or speak via voice
  4. Digital Saathi will answer — in text, and with buttons and links if needed

What You Can Ask Digital Saathi:

1. App Navigation Help

2. Feature Explanation

3. Problem Solving

4. Recommendations

💡 Example — Kamla Devi took help from Digital Saathi

Situation: Kamla Devi wants to create a listing but doesn't remember how. The Setu Saathi isn't available right now.

  1. Kamla Devi opened Digital Saathi
  2. Spoke (via voice): "Listing kaise banaun?"
  3. Digital Saathi: "To create a listing:
Step 1: Press the '+' button at the bottom
    Step 2: Choose a category
    Step 3: Take a photo
    Step 4: Give a description
    Step 5: Set the price
    Step 6: Publish!
👉 Should I open the listing page for you now?"
  4. Kamla Devi pressed "Yes" → listing page opened → listing created!
🗣️ While explaining Digital Saathi, say this

"दीदी/भैया, अगर कभी कुछ समझ नहीं आए app में, और मैं (Setu Saathi) पास में नहीं हूँ — तो ये Digital Saathi खोलो। ये जैसे एक teacher है app के अंदर — कुछ भी पूछो, बता देगा। बोलो 'Listing kaise banaun' — step-by-step बताएगा। बोलो 'OTP nahi aa raha' — solution बताएगा। बिल्कुल free है, कभी भी use करो!"

(Sister/Brother, if you ever don't understand something in the app, and I (Setu Saathi) am not nearby — open this Digital Saathi. It's like a teacher inside the app — ask anything, it'll tell you. Say 'How to create a listing' — it'll explain step-by-step. Say 'OTP not coming' — it'll give solutions. Completely free, use it anytime!)

💡 Saathi + Digital Saathi = Complete Support!

You (Setu Saathi) provide physical support — teaching face-to-face. Digital Saathi provides virtual support — helping users even when you're not there. Together, users get 24×7 support!

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Digital Saathi section — what does the interface look like?
  2. Ask 3 different questions — one each about Navigation, Features, and Problems.
  3. Ask one question via voice — how accurate was the answer?
📝 Homework — Chapter 21
  1. What's the difference between Digital Saathi and Samjho? Write in 3 points.
  2. Ask Digital Saathi 5 different questions — note the answers and rate accuracy (how many out of 5 were correct?).
  3. Teach a user how to use Digital Saathi — note their experience.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. What is Digital Saathi?
→ An AI-powered assistant that helps navigate the app, understand features, and solve problems.
  2. What's the difference between Samjho and Digital Saathi?
→ Samjho: Voice search assistant — speak, it finds listings. Digital Saathi: Guided helper — teaches you how to use the app step-by-step.
  3. When is Digital Saathi useful?
→ When the Setu Saathi isn't available, when a user doesn't understand a feature, when there's a problem in the app.
Chapter 22

Orders Management — Track Your Buying & Selling

When a transaction happens on KaryoSetu — goods purchased, service taken, or order placed — its record stays in the Orders section (/orders). Here you can track all your orders — both as a buyer and as a seller!

🎯 Why learn this?

People get the most stressed about "Where's my order?" or "I sent money but didn't get the goods". The Orders section lets you track everything — order status, timeline, details all in one place. As a Saathi, if any user is confused about their order — show them this section.

Where is the Orders Section?

The app has an "Orders" section (/orders) — access it from the Profile tab or the menu.

Buyer View — "What Did I Buy"

When you buy something, the Orders section shows:

Order Details:

Order Status — Timeline:

Every order has a timeline — just like tracking a train ticket:

StatusWhat It MeansIcon
🟡 PlacedOrder done, seller notified
🟢 ConfirmedSeller accepted
🔵 In ProgressSeller is preparing / service started🔄
🟣 Shipped / On the WayGoods sent / service person is coming🚚
🟢 Delivered / CompletedGoods received / service complete!✅🎉
🔴 CancelledOrder cancelled

Seller View — "My Orders"

When someone buys from you, it appears in the "Seller Orders" or "Sales" tab in the Orders section:

💡 Example — Full Order Flow

Buyer — Dinesh: Ordered 2 kg pickle from Sunita ji's SHG (₹600)

Order Timeline:

  1. 🟡 Placed (Monday 10:00 AM) — Dinesh placed the order → Sunita ji got notification
  2. 🟢 Confirmed (Monday 10:30 AM) — Sunita ji accepted
  3. 🔵 In Progress (Monday 2:00 PM) — Pickle being packed
  4. 🟣 Shipped (Tuesday 9:00 AM) — Goods dispatched
  5. 🟢 Delivered (Tuesday 5:00 PM) — Dinesh received it! Payment: COD ₹600

Dinesh gave: a 5-star review — "Very tasty pickle, the SHG ladies made it great!" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

🗣️ While explaining the Orders section, say this

"भैया, ये Orders section आपकी diary है — जो भी खरीदा-बेचा, सब यहाँ है। जैसे दुकानदार अपनी बही-खाता रखता है — बिल्कुल वैसे ही। यहाँ देख सकते हो कि order कहाँ पहुँचा, seller ने accept किया या नहीं, delivery कब होगी। और अगर आप seller हो — तो यहाँ से order status update करो, buyer को पता चल जाएगा।"

(Brother, this Orders section is your diary — everything you bought and sold is here. Just like a shopkeeper keeps an account book — exactly like that. Here you can see where the order has reached, whether the seller accepted it, when delivery will happen. And if you're a seller — update the order status from here, the buyer will know automatically.)

Order History — Past Transactions

The Orders section also has a "History" tab — showing all your past orders:

💡 Saathi Tip — Teach Sellers Order Management!

Many sellers forget to update order status. The buyer gets stressed — "Where's my order?" As a Saathi, tell sellers: "Bhai, when you accept an order → press Confirmed. When you ship it → press Shipped. The buyer will automatically get a notification — trust builds!"

⚠️ Order Disputes

If there's a problem with an order — goods are damaged, delivery didn't happen, payment issue — there's a "Report Issue" option on the Order page. This lets the KaryoSetu team know, and the dispute gets resolved.

🎯 Now you try!
  1. Open the Orders section — are there any orders?
  2. If there's an order — view its timeline — what status is it at?
  3. Check the Order History tab.
  4. If you're a seller — try updating an order's status.
📝 Homework — Chapter 22
  1. Write all order timeline statuses (6) and explain each status in your own words.
  2. What's the difference between Buyer view and Seller view? Write in 3 points.
  3. If there's a problem with an order, what should the user do? Explain step-by-step.
🧠 Think & Understand — Self-Check
  1. Where is the Orders section found?
    → Profile tab / Menu → "Orders"
  2. What statuses are in the order timeline?
    → Placed → Confirmed → In Progress → Shipped/On the Way → Delivered/Completed (or Cancelled)
  3. How does the seller update order status?
→ Orders section → Seller Orders tab → open the order → change status (Confirmed, In Progress, Shipped, Delivered)
  4. What to do if there's a problem with an order?
→ Order page → "Report Issue" → the KaryoSetu team will resolve the dispute.
